What StreamingWay is
StreamingWay (스트리밍웨이) is a Korean company, StreamingWay Inc., headquartered in Guro-gu, Seoul, that sells a hosted e-learning platform. Its offer is an LMS, a security video player, CDN video hosting, live broadcasting, web hosting and an SSL certificate, set up together as one service. The site is in Korean and describes the bundle as a "토탈 서비스" (total service) for building or renting an LMS, an education platform or an online education platform. The buyers it names range from individuals and small home businesses to companies, associations, lifelong education centers and educational institutions. The overview page cites "25년 기술력" (25 years of technical expertise) and calls the bundle the first and only integrated e-learning service of its kind in Korea, adding that StreamingWay holds the source technology for every part of the service and can therefore offer it at the most reasonable price. The site's copyright line dates from 2001.
The LMS and the training it is built for
StreamingWay shapes its LMS around specific kinds of Korean training. The e-learning menu lists an integrated corporate education solution, an LMS for courses reimbursed by the Ministry of Employment and Labor (노동부 환급과정), an LMS for group and mandatory training (집체 / 의무교육), an LMS for online academies (온라인 학원), and an LMS for blended safety training courses (안전교육 혼합과정). The page claims that continued investment and advanced technology have made StreamingWay a leading company in the online education market. It names the main advantage of its integrated corporate education solution as a single point of management and operation: the vendor runs the whole service so the customer does not have to coordinate several suppliers. A portfolio section shows LMS builds for clients.
Every plan includes a website with free templates, an independent domain, web FTP access, unlimited web traffic and unlimited member registrations. Learners can sign in with Kakao or Naver social login, course payments run through a PG electronic payment gateway, and SMS messaging is connected through the Aligo text service. The overview page adds development support: each customer gets its own independent source code with the essential functions implemented.
Security player and data protection
Video protection is the company's other main product. The security player, listed as 비트플레이어 (BitPlayer), is built into every plan and offers encrypted DRM downloads and blocking of screen recording, so paid course videos are harder to copy and share. The overview page says the player rests on multiple patents and aims to stay a step ahead of competitors at a reasonable cost, and a player demo is available from the menu. The plans also include a security service covering personal data encryption, database access control, data and database backup, and antivirus, and the menu lists a separate personal information protection solution. On the server side, StreamingWay advertises protection against hacking, DDoS attacks and ransomware, a mirrored operating system, and quadruple backup of that mirror.
Video hosting, CDN and live broadcasting
Course video runs on StreamingWay's own CDN media service, which the site says draws on years of network and infrastructure operation. The HA and CDN menu adds a high-availability service, secure internet live broadcasting, live broadcasting for stock market programs, disaster recovery, and a corporate email service. The footer gives the location of its IDC as the LG Gasan data center in Geumcheon-gu, Seoul. For a training provider this means the LMS, the player and the video delivery all come from one vendor, and the customer center has its own page for solving video playback problems.
Plans and prices
The pricing page publishes three monthly plans, all quoted excluding VAT. Basic (기본형) costs 500,000 won a month and is recommended for individuals and small home businesses; it includes 500GB of video transmission per month, 300GB of video storage and 3GB of web storage. Advanced (고급형) costs 800,000 won a month and is recommended for small and medium businesses, with 1,000GB of monthly transmission, 1,000GB of video storage and 5GB of web storage. Custom (맞춤형) is priced on inquiry and recommended for companies, associations, lifelong education centers and educational institutions, with the website, transmission and storage sized to the project. All three carry the same core features, from the security player and unlimited members to social login, payments and the security service. The service cost menu also has separate price lists for the security player, for e-learning design work, and for HA and DR setup and management.
Every plan has a mandatory initial setup fee of 300,000 won, and the SSL certificate for the domain is free. Usage beyond the included amounts is billed on top. An extra 100GB of video storage costs 60,000 won on Basic and 50,000 won on Advanced, an extra 100GB of monthly transmission costs 50,000 won on Basic and 40,000 won on Advanced, and each extra 1GB of web storage costs 10,000 won on any plan. The Custom column lists lower overage rates too, down to 40,000 won for storage and 30,000 won for transmission.
Contract terms matter here. The overview page says CDN video hosting is contracted for a minimum of one year, and canceling partway through the term triggers a penalty. A current promotion offers a one-month free trial of the LMS solution, which is the simplest way to see the admin side and the player before signing.
Support
Customer service runs by phone, a separate customer service line, fax and email on weekdays from 09:30 to 18:00, and is closed on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays. A quick inquiry form on every page takes a name and phone number for a call back. Existing customers have their own login, an online payment page and a service inquiry board.
Who it suits
StreamingWay suits Korean training businesses that sell or deliver video courses and want the whole stack from one vendor: an online academy protecting its paid lectures, a training center running courses reimbursed by the Ministry of Employment and Labor, or a company or association delivering mandatory and safety training. The published prices make budgeting straightforward, and the bundled DRM player, CDN and backups save piecing together separate services. Buyers should plan for the setup fee, the one-year CDN commitment and the transmission allowance, since heavy video use moves costs into the overage table. With the site and service in Korean, the product is aimed squarely at the Korean market.
