Stampwell is a compliance training platform for healthcare practices and the businesses that work with them, made by KnowQo LLC and sold until recently under the KnowQo name. The site header reads "Stampwell Formerly KnowQo", and the review section warns that older reviews use the old name: "same team, same product, new name." Its tagline is "Compliance, Handled." The product bundles ready-made HIPAA and OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens training, a builder for an organization's own courses, policy and handbook signatures, and certificates that anyone can verify, and it starts with a plan the company says is free forever for teams of up to 25 users.
Who it serves
Stampwell is aimed at small and mid-sized healthcare organizations. Its audience pages cover dental offices, business associates, ABA therapy providers, rehab and recovery centers, universities and health sciences programs, chiropractic offices, dermatology practices and ophthalmology practices. The FAQ says dental offices and private practices are among its most common customers, that hospitals and health networks use it to train every location from one account and see who is trained at each site, and that dental service organizations (DSOs) and management services organizations (MSOs) manage training for every practice they support from a single account.
Ready-made compliance training
The core library is short and specific. Two trainings come ready to assign with no setup: HIPAA training mapped to 45 CFR §164.530(b), and OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens training mapped to 29 CFR 1910.1030(g). The site describes a fully managed OSHA Bloodborne Pathogen (29 CFR 1910.1030) platform that is ready in minutes and free forever. Learners who finish a course earn a certificate automatically.
Beyond those two, organizations write their own custom trainings. The FAQ names clinical SOPs and new-hire onboarding as examples, along with "anything your team needs to sign off on." The sample training record on the home page shows custom modules such as mandated reporter training and fire safety training sitting beside the HIPAA and Bloodborne Pathogens courses, each with a status and a due date.
Building courses
The authoring side comes from KnowQo's drag-and-drop course builder, which the feature page pitches as "Finally a simple LMS." An author picks a module type, sequences modules, and drags components onto the course. The components shown are video, quiz, quote, text and image. No coding is needed, edits are made by dragging, and the editor shows a real-time WYSIWYG preview while the course is built. The page says a first course "could be ready in 5 minutes" and that the authoring tools build certificates, online courses and modules.
The same feature page speaks to two kinds of author. Training consultants can build courses quickly for clients and change them after feedback, and L&D teams can produce on-brand training without leaning on IT or outside vendors. That page also lists direct messaging with learners, threaded discussion boards, competitive leaderboards for gamification, mobile-friendly delivery on any device, and "Sell to Corporate" tools for pitching training to enterprise clients. For consultants, the page says getting started is free and "You only pay when you have clients."
Running training for a team
Setup is the product's main promise. An administrator signs up with an email address, uploads a list of team members, and assigns every Stampwell training in one step; the FAQ describes the rest as "They get trained. We tell you when it is done." The site advertises a five-minute setup with no demo, no credit card and no sales call.
Features cover training assignment, automatic certificates, reports that run on autopilot, and user management for teams, roles and compliance in one place. A compliance dashboard shows each requirement's status across staff, including how many people are certified and which certificates are about to expire, and the report can be downloaded.
The HIPAA Policies Manager generates HIPAA and OSHA compliance policies from templates, fills in fields from the organization's own records, and sends them to staff for signature, collecting employee attestations automatically. Organizations can also upload an employee handbook or write it on Stampwell and send it to the whole team for signature. Social media policies and internal SOPs work the same way, and the site says the compliance documentation is generated automatically.
Certificates and verification
Every certificate is recorded twice, according to the FAQ: as a printable certificate for the learner and the team, and on the Stampwell certificate ledger. Anyone can check a certificate against the ledger, so it can be verified independently, and the site keeps a certificate directory. A help article explains the difference between a provisional and a professional HIPAA certificate, and says a provisional certificate upgrades once an organization recognizes it. Individuals can also train alone through Stampwell Open University, which the FAQ calls a learning community open to anyone, where getting a HIPAA compliance certification is free.
Plans and pricing
The free plan costs $0 and covers compliance training and certificates, with no credit card and up to 25 users. The FAQ answers the trial question directly: "Stampwell's free plan is free forever. It is not a trial; a majority of our organizations never pay a cent." The company explains the free tier by saying it spends nothing on marketing and grows by word of mouth.
Pro is a flat yearly fee with no monthly charges. Individuals pay $39 a year, small teams of up to five pay $79, and larger organizations pay more depending on team size, with a team-size selector on the pricing panel running to 100+. Pro adds every training and certificate, policies, officers and signatures, audit-ready records all year, and priority support.
The home page shows a 4.9 rating and says Stampwell is trusted by 1,500+ organizations. One review comes from the admissions coordinator of the Physician Assistant Studies program at Middle Tennessee State University, which has 30 incoming students complete HIPAA training each year before matriculation and files their certificates of completion. Another, from Wild Smiles Pediatric Dentistry, notes that the team responded immediately and built its training collaboratively.
Who it suits and who it does not
Stampwell fits a dental office, private practice, therapy provider or clinic that needs HIPAA and Bloodborne Pathogens training done, signed and provable without buying a full corporate LMS. The free plan covers a team of up to 25, which is enough for many small practices to never pay, and Pro stays a flat yearly fee rather than a per-seat contract. Multi-site groups such as DSOs, MSOs and health networks get one account across locations. Health sciences programs that must certify incoming students each year, and individuals who need their own HIPAA certificate, are served as well. Training consultants who build courses for clients can use the drag-and-drop builder and pay only once they have clients.
The ready-made library is deliberately narrow: two regulatory trainings plus whatever an organization writes itself. A company that wants a large catalog of off-the-shelf business courses, or compliance content well outside healthcare, will be writing most of its own material.
