What SoftDeCC is
SoftDeCC is a modular corporate learning platform from SoftDeCC Software GmbH, a Munich company that has been in the corporate learning market since 1998. Its about page says it has spent over 25 years developing software for training centers, academies and human resources development in the DACH region, and that its solutions are also used by international industrial corporations. The buyer is an in-house training center, an HR or L&D team, or an independent academy or seminar provider that runs a complex training operation: in-person seminars and e-learning, employees and external partners, mandatory qualifications and voluntary development. Rather than one closed LMS, SoftDeCC sells what it calls a Composable Learning Ecosystem, with modules that share one database and can be combined as needed.
The modules
The German home page counts ten freely combinable modules. SoftDeCC LMS delivers, manages and tracks digital learning content, learning paths, courses, tests and certificates. SoftDeCC TMS is the training management system for seminar administration: in-person and live online sessions, schedules, participants, reservations, rooms and other resources. SoftDeCC SQM covers skill, qualification and competency management, from qualification profiles to competency models. SoftDeCC LXP is a personalized environment for recommending, searching for and using learning content and paths. SoftDeCC Authoring turns content into e-learning modules with natively integrated AI features, and SoftDeCC KMS organizes company knowledge in a content management system.
Four extensions sit around these. TCmanager Core is the central process and data hub that connects seminar management, qualification management, campaign management, learning paths and the media library. Trainer Hub manages, schedules and recruits internal and external trainers. SoftDeCC AIR adds robotic process automation and AI-powered services for recurring work, and SoftDeCC API handles integration with enterprise applications through REST, SOAP and file transfer.
The solutions menu shows how far the administration side goes: coach and participant management, resource management, approval workflows, feedback and surveys, LMS billing, onboarding, microtraining, learning portals, a media library, blended learning, a test generator, and role and permission concepts. On the HR side it lists a skills and qualifications matrix, AI skill gap analysis, automated learning paths and AI-powered skill management. The about page adds that internal cost centers, external invoices and vouchers are all covered as billing models.
Training employees, partners and customers
SoftDeCC addresses training centers and HR teams that train employees, partners, products or compliance, and academies and seminar providers that sell external continuing education. Extended enterprise training and international training organizations get their own solution pages, and learning portals let one installation serve different audiences. The clearest example comes from Julia Tillmann, Head of the Training Center at Maschinenfabrik Bernard Krone: "Today, our extensive training offerings for our service and sales partners and customers are optimally supported worldwide by training portals tailored to specific target groups and countries." A knowledge base article on Corporate Learning as a Service describes selling training to external customers with a multi-tenant LMS, white-labeling, automated certificate management and CRM integration, and another covers monetizing training through publishing, booking and billing.
For regulated industries, the SQM module maps AI competency levels into qualification profiles, links them to role-based requirements, and pulls in evidence from training, assessment and practice, with the stated aim of full auditability of learning and qualification processes. The industries named include defense and aviation, medical technology, banks and insurance companies, energy and utilities, transportation and logistics, government agencies, automotive and manufacturing, and AZAV training providers.
Hosting, integrations and support
Customers choose cloud, on-premises or hybrid hosting. The FAQ says all customer data is stored and processed exclusively in German data centers under the "Hosted in Germany" seal, and that an on-premises installation is also possible. SoftDeCC states it is certified to ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 27001, holds the "Software made in Germany" seal, and describes the platform as GDPR-compliant. The support page lists REST APIs and standard connectors for HR, ERP and identity systems, and the FAQ says modules such as TCmanager can be integrated with external systems, including existing LMS solutions, "rather than locking customers into its own offerings."
Support is a selling point. Customers get a dedicated point of contact instead of an anonymous ticket system, and a user hotline staffed from Munich. Response times are set in an individual service level agreement matched to operating hours, how critical the LMS is and the size of the user base. User and administrator training is tailored to the customer's own configuration and runs online, on site, or at SoftDeCC's Munich offices, with webinars and update workshops on top. A user forum lets L&D managers, administrators and training centers from different industries discuss new features and day-to-day practice, and the company holds an annual user conference. When configuration is not enough, SoftDeCC develops custom solutions.
The company and its customers
About 50 employees work from the Munich office, with development, consulting and project management in one team, and co-founder Georg Nüssel still acts as personal contact for long-standing clients. The company reports more than 50 active customer installations, from commercial educational institutions to training centers of large international corporations. Torben Schäfer of YASKAWA Europe, a customer since 2015, writes: "It quickly becomes clear that this software was designed specifically for training and certification management." Heiner Lentzen of Schneider Electric says it chose the TCmanager LMS in 2019 and that "the learning system’s feature set has been continuously expanded." Mark Schulte of Hella Gutmann Solutions, another customer since 2015, notes that "Any customizations or new features we request for the application’s functionality are implemented smoothly."
Pricing and trial
The site lists a pricing page and promises "Transparent Terms & Conditions & a Fair Pricing Model", but the route to a figure runs through a consultation. A free 30-minute demo comes first, and the FAQ describes a non-binding trial period with a real installation tailored to the buyer's training needs and accompanied by personal consultation.
Who it suits
SoftDeCC suits organizations whose training is more than an online course catalog: an industrial training center running seminars, rooms and trainers alongside e-learning, an academy that bills external participants, or a manufacturer training dealers and service partners through country-specific portals. Its German hosting, ISO certifications and audit-ready qualification management fit banks, insurers, medical technology firms and other regulated buyers in the DACH region. The modular setup, custom development and SLA-based support take more setup than a self-service LMS, so a small team looking for a quick start with a single online course may find it more than it needs.
