What it is

Shiken describes itself as "a sales enablement platform and a people performance platform on one engine." It records conversations, scores them against a sales or coaching framework, coaches the person, turns weak spots into AI roleplay practice and microlearning, and delivers training in Slack, Teams or an existing LMS. For revenue teams the page pitches it as one stack in place of a conversation-intelligence tool, a roleplay tool and an LMS; the people performance side runs on the same engine for leaders, managers and every customer-facing team. The product combines a meeting recorder, AI scoring and coaching, AI roleplay, an AI content studio, a learning platform (LMS/LXP), an MCP server, and an older quiz-based exam-prep surface for medical and professional exam candidates.

It serves three groups. Businesses use it for sales enablement, onboarding, compliance training, internal communication, language training, upskilling and customer education. Creators use it to publish and sell courses and run paid communities. Learners use the quiz and flashcard side to study. That spread is why it appears under business LMS, course platforms and course authoring tools on this site.

What users get

Recording and scoring. Shiken records conversations on Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, phone, desktop and in person, with a bot or without one, online or offline, and syncs to Salesforce, HubSpot and Dynamics 365. Sales calls are scored against MEDDPICC, SPICED, BANT or a custom framework, with transcript evidence for each point. Reps get private feedback, managers review the calls, and there are coaching forms for field visits and co-visits. AI scorecards also cover MEDDIC, SPIN and custom methodologies.

Roleplay practice. Weak spots from real calls become practice. Shiken offers "lifelike multi-avatar roleplay practice", and live AI avatar roleplays are part of the Enterprise plan. The company's blog notes voice-powered features for roleplay and coaching sessions.

Creating training. The content side turns "any call, document or deck into AI roleplays, courses, quizzes, microlearning and slides." Feature pages cover AI slides and video, interactive video, AI video and microlearning. A company blog post on AI course creation explains the workflow: upload a document, add a link or write a prompt, and Shiken generates a course with images and formatted text. Courses can be generated in any language with one click, or an existing course can be duplicated and translated. An AI text editor refines the copy, a built-in text-to-speech reader narrates text lessons, and videos and quizzes can be added. The same post mentions AI grading of assignments.

Delivering it. Training reaches people "in the flow of work via Slack, Teams, a website widget, or an LMS (LTI, SCORM, xAPI)", so a company can keep its existing LMS and feed it from Shiken. Shiken's own learning platform also hosts courses and communities, and for creators the Solo Creator and Creator Team plans add course sales, paid communities and Stripe Connect payouts.

Agents and analytics. Shiken runs AI agents that learn a business and do real work, and connects to 3,200+ apps through managed connectors. An Enterprise Intelligence Suite adds Needs Analysis, Skills Intelligence and Work Intelligence. A personal MCP server lets a signed-in user pull their own meetings, notes and knowledge base into an MCP-aware AI client such as Claude or Cursor; it is read-only, with tools to list and fetch meetings and search notes and knowledge. Org admins have a separate REST API and webhooks for members, groups, content and analytics inside the app.

Exam prep. The quiz-and-flashcard surface was originally built for medical and professional exam candidates, covering UKMLA, MRCP, MRCS, MRCGP and USMLE, plus GCSE, A-level and general study content. The page says it predates the move to AI coaching but is "in production". An Exam Guides hub spans GCSE, A-Level, undergraduate, postgraduate and professional exams. Question types include flashcards, true/false, single-best-answer, multi-select, extended-matching, ranking order, hot-spot, and Viva Voce spoken-response questions for oral exams, interview prep and language practice. The free forever plan covers quiz creation, live quiz hosting and flashcard study; paid tiers add learner management, advanced question types and course sales.

Security and languages

The home page states that Shiken is SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001 certified and GDPR compliant, and that it does not train AI models on customer data by default. It works in 40+ languages. The site links to a security page, a data processing agreement and a help center.

Who it suits and who might look elsewhere

Shiken fits a sales or customer-facing team that wants call recording, scoring, coaching and practice in one tool, and an L&D team that wants to turn real conversations and documents into microlearning delivered in Slack or Teams. A company that already has an LMS can keep it and use Shiken's LTI, SCORM and xAPI delivery to feed it. Creators who want to sell courses and run a paid community get a monthly plan with Stripe Connect payouts, and individuals can try the recorder or the quiz tools on the free plan.

A buyer who only needs a conventional course catalog with enrollment and completion tracking will be paying for recording and coaching features it does not use. Some things the enterprise buyer may expect, such as SSO and SCORM, sit in the Enterprise plan rather than the self-serve tiers.
