Samelane is a learning management system for businesses that train more than their own staff. Its home page pitches it for "employee training" and "partner training" alike, with the promise to "Keep all learning & development processes in one place" and to automate onboarding, knowledge sharing and skill assessment. The company describes itself as EU-based with offices in the UK, Poland and Norway, and says it has operated in the LMS market since 2017. It is aimed at HR and L&D teams, and at companies that need to reach franchisees, suppliers, partners and customers through the same platform.

What the platform covers

The home page groups the product into four areas: content management, learning management with tools for evaluating learner progress and compliance, user management and reporting, and dedicated solutions for particular use cases.

On the content side, administrators can create courses and learning tracks "easily, in a variety of formats." Courses can be combined into tracks that lead a learner through a sequence. The defining structural feature is the company structure: an administrator sets one up and shares training with selected company units, and also with partners and vendors. That is what lets one platform serve internal departments and outside groups without mixing their material.

Reporting is a recurring theme. The home page says you can monitor employee and vendor performance with built-in and custom-made reports, track tenure, invoicing and compliance, and determine and verify KPIs to improve internal processes. One verified Capterra reviewer quoted on the home page says downloading reports and tracking progress "are laid out clearly, and there are options to customize such settings."

Automation is the third pillar. Samelane says its platform automates learning and development processes for employees and partners, shortens the time people need to gain new skills, and cuts costs on venues, trainers and management. The manufacturing page is more specific: it automates certification and retraining processes to reduce non-compliance risk, automates onboarding so new employees become proficient with machinery, safety protocols and company standards, and supports role-specific learning paths that streamline onboarding and regular updates.

Augmented reality training

The feature Samelane gives most space to is its augmented reality module. The home page describes AR training as applying digital elements to the real working environment, and says administrators can create interactive AR courses "with ease via an intuitive interface" and place them in learning tracks next to ordinary courses. The manufacturing page explains the use: interactive, real-world simulations that make complex training easier to grasp, reduce training time, raise retention, and let workers practice skills in a safe, controlled environment before applying them on the factory floor. The menu lists AR Industrial Training as a solution of its own, and the manufacturing page frames it as training from real-world situations for Industry 4.0. One reviewer singles out the "Innovative AR Module" and a smartphone app.

Extended enterprise and industry solutions

Samelane's menu shows who it is built for beyond employees: Partner Training Solutions, LMS for Franchisee and LMS for Suppliers sit alongside industry pages for enterprises, manufacturing, telecommunications, insurance, healthcare and call centers. The company's blog post on extended enterprise LMS explains the thinking. It describes an extended enterprise LMS as one platform for delivering training, certification and educational programs to partners, customers, suppliers and other external parties, and lists the features such a system needs: user segmentation and separate learning environments for each group, branding per audience, content management that scales, reporting across segments, certification and compliance management, integration with CRM and HR systems, automated notifications and reminders, and security for external users. The post closes by recommending Samelane for that role. It also sets out a rollout plan: define the program's objectives, identify each external audience, build or source content such as videos, interactive courses and webinars, brand the platform for each group, run a pilot with a small set of users, train the internal team, then launch, monitor and refine with learner feedback.

The manufacturing page adds the industry view. It names high employee turnover and new technologies as the training problems, and says Samelane helps standardize knowledge across shifts and locations, lets managers track learning outcomes and skill development in real time, deliver training across multiple sites at once, and update materials quickly when technology, processes or regulations change. It also mentions artificial intelligence alongside AR as a way the LMS strengthens training, and argues that repeatable sessions delivered across several sites at once cut the need for physical training resources and reduce downtime. Its key feature list includes access on various devices at any time, layered access for different levels of stakeholders, detailed reports on progress and training impact, and branding with the organization's logo and colors.

Support and service

Samelane puts its support terms on the home page. Customer support is "a standard service guaranteed to all our clients regardless of the package choice", delivered by e-mail or by phone if preferred, with a dedicated success team to guide customers through the platform and solve technical issues. Issues go through a ticket system so customers can track their status, and the page says replies usually take less than three days, while urgent cases are dealt with right away. A partner program is open to solution, training and integration partners.

The customer quotes on the home page are consistent on two points: the platform is easy to manage once learned, and the team is responsive. One HR business partner admits that learning the tool "was a bit demanding at first" but says it is very easy to manage and use overall. Another praises the customer care team as "friendly, professional, and efficient" and says feedback to the developers was welcomed and changes were implemented smoothly. The site shows a user rating of 4.7.

Pricing

The site publishes no prices. The home page asks visitors to contact Samelane about features, pricing and free demos, and to book a demo presentation to see the platform in action.

Who it suits

Samelane suits organizations that need one LMS for several audiences: a manufacturer training plant staff, suppliers and franchise partners, an insurer or telecom company onboarding call center and partner teams, or a healthcare organization that has to keep certifications current. The AR module is the reason to shortlist it for hands-on industrial training, where workers can rehearse a procedure in a safe, controlled setting before the factory floor. Teams that only want a simple course library for a small staff will use a fraction of what the company structure, reporting and AR tools are built for.
