reteach is a German learning management system for the Mittelstand, the mid-sized companies that run mandatory training, onboarding and product training without a dedicated e-learning department. The site is in German, its footer says the product is made in Berlin for Europe, and the home page headline calls it "Die einfache Lernplattform für den Mittelstand" (the simple learning platform for mid-sized companies). The company says more than 1,500 companies already use reteach. Its own buyer's guide on the blog defines the Mittelstand as organizations with 50 to 5,000 employees, which gives a fair picture of the customer it has in mind: an HR or quality team that wants training running quickly and documented properly.

Three modules, bought separately or together

The home page describes reteach as modular: a company combines the building blocks it needs and can add more later.

  • reteach LMS is the platform itself, for building courses, automating mandatory instructions (Unterweisungen) and measuring progress. The page says it is ready in 24 hours "ganz ohne IT-Projekt" (with no IT project at all).
  • reteach Kurse is the course library: more than 500 ready-made courses in areas such as data protection, occupational safety and information security. The page stresses that the courses can be adapted, for example by adding a company's own content, and that 7 courses on AI tools and how to use them are included free.
  • reteach Phishing Awareness runs simulated phishing tests and explains the attack to the employee at the moment they click. The page says every participation is documented in a legally sound way for audits and evidence, and the module comes with 24 training courses.

The product menu adds a fourth route into the library: "Kurse für Ihr LMS", the reteach courses offered for use in another company's existing LMS.

Building courses

The course builder is meant for people without technical background. A drag-and-drop editor places content into a course, and the page lists the formats it accepts: video, audio, quizzes with AI support, PDF, PowerPoint and SCORM, among others. Courses can be arranged into learning paths, and an AI feature generates a course structure as a starting point. For live training, the LMS connects directly to Zoom and Microsoft Teams for webinars. The features menu fills in the rest of the authoring side: custom design so the academy carries the company's look, individual course layout, course structure and communication tools, and multimedia content and formats.

Mandatory training and compliance

The part of reteach most visible on the home page is the automation of mandatory training. Dates and reminders go out automatically, and so do individual certificates with an expiry date. The page lists automated safety instructions and quality management training, mandatory participation and recurring courses with fixed deadlines and intervals, and escalation management for staff who fall behind. A compliance workflow and admin and internal roles appear in the features menu.

Customer quotes on the home page describe the same use. One managing director writes: "Mit reteach haben wir eine flexible Lösung für unsere TISAX- und ISO-Schulungen gefunden." (With reteach we found a flexible solution for our TISAX and ISO training.) An HR officer credits the simple administration, automatic reminders and the analysis dashboard with keeping annual mandatory instructions under control, and a COO says automatic certificate issuing takes extra work off the team.

Reporting

A central dashboard shows learning progress, participation rates and completions. The page lists a real-time overview of progress and participation, automated reports that can be exported, and detailed course analyses to spot where a course could be improved. The reporting tools also manage certificates. Next to these features, the home page makes its own performance claim: a "3x höhere Abschlussrate" (3x higher completion rate) for reteach against other learning platforms, and training costs "bis zu 69 % günstiger als Präsenzschulungen" (up to 69% cheaper than classroom training). Both are the company's figures, not independent measurements.

Beyond employee training

reteach is not only for internal staff. The home page headline runs "von Compliance bis Customer Education", and the use cases it lists are mandatory instructions, product training, employee training, onboarding and multi-tenancy. Multi-tenancy (Multi-Mandanten) lets one account run separate academies, which suits a company training dealers, branches or customers alongside its own people. The features menu also includes automated e-commerce for selling courses, and a partner program aimed at firms that want to offer digital training to others.

The course catalog groups the library into compliance and data protection, occupational safety and security, information security, soft skills, training for municipalities, artificial intelligence, and Microsoft 365 and Office.

Data protection, integrations and support

The home page's comparison box claims reteach is "100% DSGVO-konform" (fully compliant with the GDPR). It also invites buyers to check GDPR compliance, SSO and connections to their HR and CRM systems in a trial or a personal demo, and "Vielfältige Integrationen" (a range of integrations) is one of the feature areas. The company's guide to choosing a platform names six criteria for the Mittelstand: GDPR compliance with servers in Germany, quick setup without an IT project, ease of use for HR, German-language support, a fair and predictable pricing model, and scaling from 50 to 5,000 employees. It says the reteach LMS brings exactly these criteria together.

Support is personal by e-mail, chat and phone, according to the home page, which sets this against platforms reachable only through a ticket system. The footer lists a support page, a help center and FAQs, and the resource section offers webinars, white papers, a podcast, case studies and an HR academy. One customer quote praises how fast support answers questions.

Pricing and trial

reteach keeps its prices on a separate pricing page. Anyone can test the LMS free for 14 days with personal advice included, and the home page says access starts immediately after sign-up. A demo is the other route in. The suggested path after a trial is short: set up the academy, create or choose courses, invite participants.

Who it suits

reteach fits a German-speaking company that has to deliver recurring safety, data protection and IT security instructions and prove they happened: a manufacturer with plant staff, a services firm onboarding new hires, a municipality, or a company that also trains customers or dealers. The ready library and automatic certificates save an HR team from building compliance courses and chasing reminders by hand, and the phishing module adds security awareness without a second vendor. The whole site, the course catalog and the support pitch are German, so an organization that needs English-language courses or an English-speaking admin team should confirm language coverage before buying.
