Pluvo is a learning management system from Pluvo B.V. in Amsterdam, built for organizations that train their own people. The homepage sums it up as "Leren, Compliance & Skills in één LMS" (learning, compliance and skills in one LMS): an all-in-one platform for managing training, automating compliance and building the skills of a team. It is aimed at the whole organization, with separate value for HR, L&D, QHSE, managers and employees, and the homepage says more than 600 organizations and 150,000 users learn with Pluvo. Each customer gets its own online academy in its own house style. The site runs in Dutch, German and English.

What an organization gets

An academy and an LMS. The LMS keeps all learning content in one central place with a full view of progress, results and certificates, so administrators always know who is learning what and where to step in. The company's comparison post lists further options inside the LMS: sharing files, chatting, holding discussions, issuing certificates and creating personal learning paths. Teams can combine classroom teaching, e-learning and workplace learning in one program, and Pluvo's designers can style the academy in the customer's corporate identity.

Onboarding. New employees follow a complete onboarding track automatically, with clear steps, knowledge checks and certification, while the organization sees exactly where each new hire stands and who needs extra attention. The homepage names ARTIS and De Siers Groep among customers using it for onboarding; at ARTIS, volunteers learn about the animals and plants in the park at their own pace, and practical information is shared in advance through the academy.

Compliance. The homepage calls this "Altijd audit-proof" (always audit-proof). Pluvo makes sure each employee finishes the right training on time: repeat trainings are scheduled automatically, certificates can always be found, and dashboards show the current status for audits and inspections. It claims up to 70% less manual work. The site also notes that not everything mandatory comes from legislation, and the skills matrix shows whether mandatory knowledge is still current and when periodic refreshers are due.

Skills management. Pluvo shows which skills are present in a team, where the gaps are and which training would close them. It offers a skills matrix, skills gap analysis and layered learning paths with clear goals for upskilling and reskilling. Employees build a personal skills profile step by step.

Events and social learning. A meetings module plans and manages sessions in one overview, including invitations, participants and attendance, and handles registrations for events and webinars. Social learning features let colleagues learn from and with each other.

Workflow automation. Tasks such as scheduling, reminders and reporting can be automated.

Building content, with and without AI

Pluvo has its own authoring tool. The comparison post says it supports videos, images, audio clips and different types of quiz questions, so e-learning can be made as interactive as possible, and that external e-learning can be brought into the platform through LTI. The features page describes the AI Auteurstool as a way to make interactive modules with media and exercises quickly, with no technical knowledge needed.

Pluvo AI, marked as new, takes this further. It can generate a complete e-learning, including practice questions, from a single prompt, and translate course material into more than 30 languages with one click. Through Pluvo MCP, course builders can create e-learning directly from an AI tool they already use, with Mistral, Claude and ChatGPT named as examples. The academy itself can be offered in Dutch, German, English, French, Polish, Spanish and Czech, and the language can be set per user.

The mobile app

The Pluvo App brings the full academy to employees' smartphones, so no computer is needed to follow a training. The homepage gives three examples: an e-learning on the shop floor, a quick instruction on the road, and a QR scan that leads to the right procedure. The app supports notifications and is tagged for iOS.

Integrations and security

Pluvo supports single sign-on with an existing organization account, and the FAQ names Microsoft Azure AD, Google Workspace and AFAS Profit among the services it connects to. It links to HR systems such as AFAS, to the Outlook calendar to avoid double planning, and to MS Teams for online meetings. Through Zapier it connects to more than 3,000 apps such as a CRM, intranet or webshop, and an API connection and developer documentation are available for custom work. The site footer lists ISO 27001:2022, a status page, a Service Level Agreement, a data processing agreement and a customer agreement.

Services and support

Pluvo sells services next to the software. Its service team offers educational advice, building e-learning on the customer's behalf, reviewing and improving existing e-learning, and professional teaching videos recorded in Pluvo's own film studio; the comparison post adds podcast recording. Workshops include an e-learning workshop, a Pluvo workshop, a Pluvo Expert Workshop and a Train de Trainer workshop. Implementation is tailored rather than standard, and each customer has a fixed contact person for customer success.

Support runs by chat or email, backed by a knowledge base of articles, step-by-step guides and videos, with personal guidance on larger projects. The homepage promises contact with a real person, "Geen AI, wachtrijen of ticketsystemen" (no AI, queues or ticket systems), and shows a response time under 10 minutes and 100% expert answers. The comparison post says every new user gets a free help session, and that a quick question in the chat should get an answer within 5 minutes. A community called Learning Innovators, a podcast, a weekly blog, a changelog and a public roadmap round out the resources.

Pricing and how to start

The site has no price table, but the company's own comparison post describes the model. It says the LMS can be used completely free of charge, and that as an academy grows and gives more learners access, the costs adapt to its size. Customers choose from 5 types of subscription or a custom quote, and the post says the most chosen subscription "kost 95,- per maand, jaarlijks gefactureerd" (costs 95 per month, billed annually). The homepage FAQ adds that Pluvo can be tested for free without a credit card, small print or automatic renewal: a short demo request leads to a personal test environment. The free demo call itself takes 30 minutes.

Who it suits and who it does not

Pluvo suits organizations, from non-profits to municipalities, that want onboarding, compliance and skills in one place and value a personal service relationship. The homepage names Gemeente Den Haag, AquaFlanders, Swartberg, GrowWork, Privacy Company and Bergnet among its users. It is a good fit where certificates expire and refresher training must be documented, where staff work on the floor or on the road and learn on phones, and where course builders want AI help to produce and translate material quickly. Teams on AFAS, Microsoft or Google accounts get ready connections, and organizations without in-house media skills can lean on the film studio and e-learning experts.

It is less suited to someone who wants to sell courses to the public, since the product is built around training an organization's own people, and buyers who want a full public price list will have to work from the comparison post and a demo call.
