What PearlQ Software offers
PearlQ Software is a software company in Doha, Qatar, and its learning product is BenchStep, a cloud-based learning management system. The LMS page says BenchStep is built for "educational institutions, corporate offices, private enterprises, government organizations, and educators," and that it simplifies the management, delivery and tracking of training programs and educational content. The footer describes PearlQ as part of the KBF Group of companies in Qatar, and the homepage presents PearlQ as an all-in-one software partner for an organization's people and its data.
The LMS sits inside a wider business. PearlQ also does custom software development, AI automation, translation and localization, cyber security services, data center solutions, IT staffing and API integration, and its other products include workforce management software, nurse scheduling and maid scheduling software and an AI Academic Advisor for students. For a training buyer, the two parts that matter are BenchStep and PearlQ's eLearning content development service, which builds courses to run on it or on another LMS.
BenchStep LMS
Course management covers creating and organizing courses with modules and structured lessons. Content upload takes documents, videos, quizzes, eLearning courses, SCORM files and multimedia presentations, and a centralized content library holds course materials, resources, SCORM courses and multimedia in one repository with version control so learners always see the current material. Multimedia support extends to audio files, interactive simulations and eLearning modules. Assessment tools include quizzes, exams, assignments and automated grading, and the homepage adds AI-based assessments to the LMS description.
User management handles customizable profiles for students, instructors and administrators, role-based access and three enrollment routes: self-enrollment, batch enrollment and admin-driven enrollment. Tracking and reporting monitor completion rates, grades and participation in real time, generate reports on user performance, course effectiveness and engagement, and include compliance tracking for corporate compliance programs. The FAQ says data can be exported as CSV, Excel or PDF, covering learner progress, course completions and assessment results.
Certification is automated. BenchStep generates certificates on course completion from templates an organization designs to match its branding, and it tracks issued certificates with expiration dates and renewal requirements. Branding goes further than a logo: the page lists a tailored user interface, white-labeling options that replace PearlQ's branding with the customer's own, and localization for multiple languages.
Standards, integrations and selling courses
The LMS page states that BenchStep supports SCORM, Tin Can API (xAPI) and AICC. On integrations, it says the LMS connects with existing CRM and HR systems for employee data, training records and performance tracking, and integrates with Zoom so live virtual sessions run inside courses.
BenchStep can also sell training. The page lists a shopping cart and checkout, discount codes, promotions and bundle offers, and payment gateway integration with PayPal, Stripe and Square. It supports one-time purchases, subscription plans and membership models, and says transactions run through encrypted channels. That makes it usable by a training provider selling courses as well as by an employer training staff.
On security, the page describes encryption and secure access controls and says the LMS is designed to support adherence to data protection standards, without naming a certification. It runs in any modern browser, with Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Edge on Windows, macOS, iOS or Android listed in the FAQ.
Free plan and pricing
BenchStep has a Free Plan, which the LMS page describes as a way to experience the platform at no cost. Its table lists a cloud-based LMS with 1 admin account, admin and user dashboards, user enrollment, 1 GB of storage, 10 active users, 5 admin reports and 5 learner reports, customization and mobile support, online support and lifetime validity. Beyond that, the FAQ says paid pricing plans are flexible and depend on an organization's size, needs and desired features, with a customized quote from the sales team. PearlQ's team helps migrate existing content from other systems into the LMS.
eLearning content development
PearlQ's eLearning page offers custom course development, rapid eLearning for urgent projects, conversion of PowerPoint presentations into interactive modules with quizzes and multimedia, Flash to HTML5 conversion "to modern HTML5, Tincan xAPI, SCORM format," legacy content conversion and blended learning programs that mix online and face-to-face instruction. Course types include product, compliance, technical, sales, onboarding, leadership and soft skills training, built with quizzes, simulations, role-playing scenarios and gamification.
The team names the authoring tools it works in, among them Articulate Storyline, Articulate Rise, Adobe Captivate, iSpring Suite, Lectora, Elucidat and Camtasia. Its process runs from needs analysis through content design and development, review and revisions to final implementation, and the FAQ puts turnaround at 4 weeks to 5 months depending on complexity. Content can be produced in multiple languages with translation and localization, and pricing is by personalized quote, with custom, subscription or one-time project fee options. The eLearning page says its courses use responsive design that works on desktops, tablets and smartphones, and it lists construction and legal and professional services among the industries it builds for, alongside healthcare, finance and banking, government and education.
Immersive training and other learning products
The homepage pitches the enterprise LMS as "engineered for high-risk environments and data-driven upskilling" under the heading "Immersive VR. Smart AI.", and the LMS page links to a story titled "Immersive VR Training Shaping the Future of LNG Operations." PearlQ also runs CyberReady, a free cybersecurity awareness program with self-paced modules, interactive labs and a certificate of completion.
Support and industries
Phone support runs Sunday to Thursday, 7am to 7pm, and the site lists phone numbers and an email address. The LMS page names education, healthcare and hospitality, finance and banking, technology, non-profits, corporate training, government, manufacturing, retail and small and medium businesses among the industries it serves.
Who it suits
BenchStep suits organizations in Qatar that want one vendor for both the LMS and the courses on it: a corporate training team without in-house instructional designers, a school or training center that needs SCORM, xAPI or AICC content to run, or a training provider that wants to sell courses through PayPal, Stripe or Square. The Free Plan, at 10 active users and 1 GB, is enough for a small pilot. Teams that need a long list of named integrations or a published security certification will find the LMS page brief on both, so those details are best settled in the sales conversation.
