What myAko is
myAko is a learning management system and course library aimed first at health and social care providers in the UK. Its home page calls it an "Integrated Competency & Blended Learning Platform for CQC Compliance", which places it squarely with care providers that answer to the CQC, and the company's article on UK learning management systems describes it as "the extended enterprise level LMS UK solution, accessible for any organisation." The platform pairs a large catalog of short courses with administration for mandatory training: assigning courses by rule, recording face-to-face sessions alongside eLearning, and reporting on compliance in real time. A message from CEO Kevin Ashley on the home page widens the scope to care homes, education, charities, transportation and logistics, and the company says its LMS is used by hundreds of health and social care providers.
The course library
The home page advertises "Over 2,000 Engaging and Accessible Digital Courses", with AI avatars, knowledge assessments and tools for all learners, including Google Translate and dyslexia support. Modules are built to be short: the FAQ says each one is designed to be 10 minutes long, and the company presents this bite-sized format as suited to people with busy lives, which in care usually means staff fitting training around shifts.
The courses featured on the home page show what the catalog looks like in practice. Durations and ratings are given in the page's own short form: Raising Concerns with Confidence: Whistleblowing in Health & Social Care (0h 45m, rated 4.6); MAR Charts for Care (0h 55m, 4.7); Safeguarding Children Level 1 (2h 20m, 4.5); Modern Slavery & Human Trafficking (1h 30m, 4.4); Autism Awareness (1h 15m, 4.3); Prevent (1h 40m, 4.7); and Infection Prevention Control (1h 0m, 4.5). Each of these carries a CPD label on the page. The home page also counts more than 10 million modules completed and more than 10,000 five-star reviews.
Organizations that need their own material are not limited to the library. The company's LMS article invites readers who want to do their own content development to get in touch so myAko can create tailored courses, and the document library holds an organization's policies and procedures, with access rules that the FAQ says can be set for every content type, videos included.
Assigning and running training
Course management lets administrators allocate training by site, role or individual, and a hierarchy builder lays out the organization visually so the structure can be mirrored in the system. Setup follows three steps that the home page spells out. First, the organization imports its HR data through an Excel template, and myAko builds the hierarchy automatically. Second, it imports historical training records, so learners do not have to redo training they recently completed; the imported records are consolidated into one report. Third, it sets course assignment rules: which sites, roles or individuals must complete which training, and how often. Rules can differ between sites and roles, and once they are in place every new starter is assigned courses automatically. The FAQ adds that myAko trains system administrators on setting up those customized rules.
Automation features appear on the company's own feature list, and the article on UK systems names bulk allocation of courses, scheduling of annual compulsory and compliance courses, feedback surveys and bulk onboarding as the automations a care provider should expect. The company says that with its quick onboarding features a system "can be ready to go within minutes, not weeks", whether an organization is switching from a current provider or starting fresh.
Events management covers what happens off screen. Administrators organize online meetings or face-to-face training in the same tool, and the FAQ says organizers and trainers can monitor attendance and track learner performance at those events. The UK LMS article mentions scheduling events and taking a digital register.
Reporting, incidents and the app
Real-time reporting is the part of myAko built for inspections. The home page says managers can see how the organization, a team or an individual is performing in a few clicks, and the FAQ confirms that real-time reporting includes compliance training records for both eLearning and face-to-face sessions, so classroom sessions and online modules sit in one record. The company's article adds that the data shows whether staff are completing assignments and lets managers view test scores.
A separate module handles accident, incident and near miss reporting, with customized reports and activity management. According to the FAQ, the platform tracks the completion of both the reports and the follow-up actions they lead to, which brings incident management into the same system as training.
The myAko app runs on iOS and Android. The FAQ says any activity completed in the app updates the web version instantly, compliance reporting included, so a module finished on a phone shows up straight away for the manager. On privacy and security, the FAQ notes that administrators and learners can reset passwords without anyone being able to view the original encrypted passwords. The feature list also includes customizable branding.
Pricing, demo and support
The home page headline on pricing is "Only Pay for What You Use", followed by "Clear Pricing, We Deliver Exactly What We Promise, With No Hidden Costs." It shows no figures itself; prices sit behind a separate pricing page and a demo. The demo is a 45-minute live session on a Zoom call, booked in a chosen time slot, with time for questions. Support runs by chat, telephone and email, and the company says it prides itself on highly rated customer support with no long wait times, promising that customers can "speak to one of the team in seconds!"
Who it suits
myAko suits a UK care provider that has to show CQC-ready training records: a group of care homes, a domiciliary care agency or a charity with care staff. The combination of a ready library of short, care-specific courses, rule-based assignment for new starters, imported historical records, face-to-face events in the same report and incident tracking covers most of what a registered manager or training lead handles each month. The 10-minute modules and the mobile app fit a workforce that learns between shifts.
It is a less natural choice for an organization far from health and social care, where most of the featured library would not apply, although the company does name education, charities, transport and logistics among the sectors it serves. Teams that want to compare prices before speaking to anyone will need the pricing page or the demo, and an organization with a large in-house content team may find that much of the value lies in a library it does not need.
