What My Learning Cloud is
My Learning Cloud is a training company that sells two things to employers: Lumis, its own learning management system, and a library of more than 150 CPD-certified e-learning courses written by its in-house content team. Its roots are in health and social care. The About page says the company was "born in 2012 from the desire to provide a Learning Environment and suite of online e-learning courses targeted towards the health and social care sector," and that today it supports organizations of all shapes and sizes. In 2016 it became, in its own words, "the first e-learning provider in England to be endorsed by Skills for Care, in fact we helped write the endorsement framework." The home page says it is trusted by more than 1000 organizations, and the company is based at Cams Hall Estate in Fareham.
The company tells its history in milestones. In 2020 it won Medium Business of the Year and Overall Business of the Year at the Portsmouth Business Excellence Awards. During the Covid-19 pandemic it partnered with Skills for Care on the funded Rapid Induction Training to help care providers meet workforce training needs, and in 2022 it marked its tenth anniversary. Lumis Essentials and Lumis Pro launched first, and Lumis Enterprise followed at the start of 2025, which the company calls its third generation of LMS. Director Michael Statham has been with the business from the start, beginning as a software developer.
The Lumis LMS
Lumis is built for organizations that have to prove training is done. The home page lists a hierarchy builder, a SCORM uploader, mobile learning and flexible learning journeys as its main tools, so an employer can mirror its structure, bring in outside content and let staff learn on a phone. On compliance, the company says the LMS gives "full control over compliance management": tracking employee progress, managing certifications and meeting regulatory requirements, with real-time dashboards, automated notifications and a reporting suite. Enrollments, reminders and reporting can be automated to cut manual work, and a central dashboard tracks training status, compliance and development goals so a provider stays inspection-ready. The company says the system scales across teams and locations, from onboarding to ongoing development, and comes with a built-in support system.
There are three plans. Lumis Essentials includes the 150+ CPD-certified courses and essential reports. Lumis Pro adds pro reports, workshops and policies. Lumis Enterprise adds enterprise reports and multi-management control. Prices are not shown beside the plans; the route in is a free demo.
The course library
The e-learning library covers health and social care, business essentials, health and safety, leadership and management, mental health, soft skills and clinical topics, plus a Good Neighbours Network category. Bundles group courses for common needs: The Care Certificate, Health and Social Care Essentials, Health and Social Care in Scotland, Digital Skills, and the All Wales Induction Framework in versions for adults and for children. A Care Training Starter Pack is listed as a separate product.
The company says each course is "regularly reviewed and updated in line with the latest regulations and industry best practices." Courses mix interactive tasks, real-world scenarios and knowledge checks, are self-paced, and work on any device, with no fixed training modules. The FAQ explains the buying model for organizations without the LMS: one course purchase equals one learner license, valid for a year and assigned to a learner by email through the e-learning portal. On completion, learners receive a CPD Certified certificate that is valid for one year, after which the company recommends retaking the course to keep up with changes in legislation and best practice. The FAQ also says the company offers bulk discounts for organizations that need to train multiple staff members, with pricing on request.
The Digital Skills bundle shows how individual products are priced. It costs £40.00 including VAT and contains seven CPD-certified courses: Being Safe and Secure Online (40m), Communicating Through Technology (30m), Digital Learning, Self-Development and Wellbeing (30m), Ethical Use of Technology (35m), Technical Skills for Using Technology (30m), Using and Managing Data (30m), and Using Technology to Support Person-Centred Care (25m). Certificates are issued as each course is completed, and the company says the bundle saves money over buying the courses one by one.
SCORM files for other LMSs
Organizations that already run another LMS can still use the content. The SCORM page says the e-learning courses "are available as SCORM files, making it easy to assign training, track completion, and maintain clear records without changing systems," and product pages carry a SCORM enquiry button. For a large employer with an established platform, this means buying the care-specific courses without moving its records to Lumis.
Bespoke course creation
The bespoke service has three forms. Edit the Existing adjusts, adds or removes content in one of the library courses. My Learning Converter turns an organization's existing content into e-learning that can be uploaded to Lumis, which the company pitches as a way to replace expensive workshops, with an information pack covering the service and its pricing. Custom-Built Courses is the premium option, designed from scratch around the organization's goals, language, tone and branding. Past examples on the page include Environment and Sustainability, Induction for New Starters, Managing Absence and Recruitment, and the FAQ mentions customers who commissioned an HR suite built around their internal policies, or a one-off course to meet tender requirements. Prices and timelines are quoted per project after an initial consultation, content can be updated later, and bespoke courses track progress, performance and completion inside the LMS. Customers do not need Lumis at all: every bespoke course can be delivered as a SCORM file.
Testimonials on the bespoke page describe the process from the customer side. One customer sent ideas in written documents, emails, video and screenshots and received a course that its homes have been using; another describes an initial meeting, regular communication and a finished course that looked professional.
Who it suits
My Learning Cloud suits care providers in England, Scotland and Wales that need mandatory and induction training with certificates and records an inspector can follow: a group of care homes on Lumis Pro or Enterprise, or a small provider buying single course licenses for a handful of staff. The Care Certificate and the Scottish and Welsh induction bundles make it a direct fit for those frameworks, and the Skills for Care endorsement speaks directly to that sector.
It also works for an organization that likes its current LMS and only wants care-specific content as SCORM files, or one that needs a bespoke induction or policy course built by an outside team. The company now markets to organizations of all shapes and sizes, but the library's depth is in health and social care, so employers in other sectors will find more of the value in the LMS and the bespoke service than in the catalog.
