What Intellek is
Intellek is a learning technology company for the legal sector, formerly known as TutorPro, run by Intellek Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales with sales and support teams in the UK and the US. Its homepage describes "eLearning and Learning Technology for Law Firms, Corporate Legal Teams, and LegalTech Vendors", and the pitch is aimed squarely at billable time: "Stop wasting billable hours on software confusion." The reader is an L&D or IT training manager at a law firm or in-house legal team, or a legal software vendor that needs to train its own users.
The company sells three connected products. Intellek LMS is "A highly customizable, cloud-based Learning Management System for managing, monitoring, and reporting on learning across your organization." Intellek Learn is the off-the-shelf course library. Intellek Create is an authoring tool for building training that runs inside the software people use at work. The homepage says the suite is "Trusted by AM Law and NLJ 500 firms, leading LegalTech vendors, and more", and that Intellek works with firms from small and mid-size practices to multi-office and multi-national legal organizations.
The LMS
The homepage says the LMS lets a firm "Automate compliance, personalize learner journeys, and get real-time analytics - all from one intuitive platform." Customer quotes fill in the detail. Nick Stanzani, a director of L&D, says the course library and calendaring feature are used heavily across many departments, beyond L&D. Mike Plumb, a director of customer enablement, says the LMS delivers education and support to "our 2.3 million users worldwide", covering self-paced learning, live training sessions, certification programs and just-in-time support material. Lida Pinkham, a technology training manager, reports "a 264% increase in use of the eLearning content." Kristin Gorman, a global IT L&D manager, says the self-service learning cut her team's administrative time.
The case studies on the homepage follow the same line. One says McMillan, a business law firm with 725 firm members, chose the LMS. Another, on multi-office firm McAfee & Taft, says it "cut onboarding time from a full day of live training to just one hour, achieved 90% role understanding" and saved over $50K. A third covers a legaltech vendor using the LMS to train its customers, and a news item announces an upskilling partnership with Forge Recruitment for legal candidates in Ontario and British Columbia.
The course library
Intellek Learn is described as off-the-shelf content created by L&D professionals and trainers, combined with courses from partner providers. The content page offers "1000+ High-Quality Training Modules", while the homepage speaks of "thousands of off-the-shelf courses". Formats include live content, training videos, learning modules, quizzes, exercises, microlearning, knowledge checks and quick reference guides. A course typically comes with audio lessons and knowledge checks, live in-application walkthroughs built with Create, step-by-step reference guides, and Microsoft 365 assessments that measure skill levels.
The subscription list is long. Business software covers Microsoft 365, Teams, SharePoint, Excel, OneNote, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Windows 10 and 11 Pro, Adobe Acrobat Pro, Zoom and Docusign. Legal software training is the distinctive part: Litera tools such as Workshare Compare and Metadact, iManage Work 10, NetDocuments, LexisNexis CaseMap, TextMap and Sanction, Clio Manage, Everlaw eDiscovery, Kofax Power PDF, WordRake and an AI course for legal professionals. Soft skills tracks cover workplace communication, professional skills, HR management, leadership, digital transformation, AI basics, cybersecurity and DE&I. Security awareness training comes through a partnership with KnowBe4, off-the-shelf assessments help screen new hires, and custom assessments can test a firm's own workflows. The company says it is an LTC4 content and assessment provider that can help firms reach LTC4 certification for their training program.
The FAQ states that the courseware "is all SCORM compliant", so the library can be loaded into another SCORM-compliant LMS.
The authoring tool
Intellek Create is the product that sets the company apart. Instead of building a separate simulation, an instructional designer records the steps of a task in a software application, and Create turns them into live guidance that walks the learner through the same task inside the real application. Balloon tips show where to click. An AI assistant generates step-by-step instructions when the designer describes the outcome, and a central asset library keeps material in one place. The FAQ says Create works with any application installed on a Windows device and with websites and browser-based web apps, needs no add-ins, web extensions or coding, and lets customers "train employees inside the tools they actually use (like Word or Outlook)" with a drag-and-drop editor and templates.
Create publishes "as standalone HTML files, AICC or directly to the Intellek LMS", and the customer owns the content it creates. Reporting has three levels: a pass or fail result with a score, the exact steps the learner took, including whether they used the preferred method, and an optional detailed result for the learner with learning resources mapped to the workflow. Customers do not have to use Intellek's LMS; the FAQ answer is "We'd love you to… but no, it's not a requirement!" A 30 day free trial of Create is offered.
Pricing, support and onboarding
The site quotes prices on request after a demo, but its FAQ is specific about what is included: "We don't charge any extra for support, access to the API or for Single Sign On (SSO)", and support is unlimited at no extra cost. A UK and US-based support team works from 9am GMT until 5pm EST, reachable by phone, email or a support portal for tracking tickets, and every product has a help feature that links to an online manual, step-by-step guides and a how-to video library.
After signing, a customer has a 30-minute getting started call with a client success manager and a dedicated account manager, receives an implementation plan, and gets product training over Microsoft Teams while working in a test instance as the live site is set up. Most customers then meet their account manager quarterly, and Intellek runs quarterly roundtables and monthly webinars for its client community. A free, vendor-agnostic LMS evaluation playbook is offered to firms still choosing a system.
Who it suits
Intellek fits law firms and in-house legal teams that run on Microsoft 365 and legal document, matter and eDiscovery software and want staff to learn those tools without losing billable time, as well as legaltech vendors that need to train and certify their own users. A firm can take the whole suite or just one part: the SCORM library for an existing LMS, Create for in-application guidance, or the LMS alone. Organizations outside the legal and professional services world can use the general business software and soft skills content, but most of the product's distinctive value is in its legal focus.
