What Innform is

Innform is a cloud-based learning management system for companies that train their own staff, from startups to multi-site hospitality and retail groups. The homepage calls it "the trusted LMS for modern enterprises" and says the product lets a business "Create and deliver high-quality online training to learners worldwide." Its pricing FAQ describes it as "the only tool to truly combine the power of a Learning Management System (LMS) with readymade video courses and a compliance manager", which is the company's own claim. The footer reads "Made in London by Seb Azzo", and the site runs in English and German. The reader is an HR, L&D or regional manager who builds training, assigns it to teams and needs to show who has completed what.

The homepage says 100,000+ learners train on it, and its industry pages cover hospitality, retail, healthcare, automotive, consulting, energy and utilities, manufacturing, startups and HR companies, with use cases for onboarding, compliance training and external training.

Building training

Innform's authoring tool is the core of the product page. Trainers add text, video, images and interactive elements such as hotspots, and can display PowerPoint, Word and PDF files inside a course. SCORM courses and quizzes can be uploaded and assigned like any other course. A question library stores questions for reuse, so assessments can be put together from existing items, and assessments support multiple question types with images attached to questions or answers. Learners can also be asked to upload images, videos or files as part of an answer, which trainers then review.

Other building blocks on the product page: manuals as well as courses, with an option to convert a course into a manual once a learner passes; events made from several training items, including classroom sessions; a file repository; an iFrame embed for video conferencing events and presentations; a royalty-free image library; Typeform forms turned into trackable quizzes; and version control with undo. Custom certification produces auto-generated certificates. Videos play as streams that cannot be downloaded to local devices. The product page says every part of the system is multilingual, including the user interface and the courses, and adds one-click instant translation from the authoring tool and text-to-speech that turns text courses into audio.

Automation, compliance and tracking

Automation is where Innform saves admin time. Learning paths run a sequence of training items on their own. Blended learning mixes "courses, calls, quizzes, manuals and events" in one assignment. Onboarding rules tell the system which items to assign, and when, every time a new learner joins. Auto reassign sends a course back to a learner each time they fail a quiz, and deadline reminders go out in the app or by email.

The compliance manager tracks all mandatory certified training in one dashboard, and a calendar view shows upcoming deadlines and certificate expirations. On the tracking side, admins monitor progress and quiz results from one dashboard, filter results, run bulk actions, list top and least performing learners, collect training feedback and export reports as CSV or PDF. Learners can be organized into properties and groups, and a multi-tenant structure lets one account train and track several organizations, with trainers and other admins delegated to manage each sub-organization.

Learner experience

Learners get an on-demand training library they can browse on their own, pinned essential trainings, announcements, discussion boards and direct messages to trainers or admins. Gamification adds leaderboards, badges and quiz battles in which learners challenge each other. Innform has iOS and Android apps for learners and admins, and the web version is mobile responsive. Branding lets the customer change the logo, colors and imagery and edit the automated emails learners receive, and the product page lists white labeling and custom URLs.

Integrations

The integrations page names Slack, Salesforce, Gmail, Office 365, Trello, BambooHR, Microsoft Teams, Google Sheets, Google Forms, Typeform, Google Calendar and Zoom as its most popular connections, with concrete examples: Slack notifications for new or overdue training, BambooHR new hires invited automatically, quiz responses collected in a Google Sheet, course feedback gathered with a Google Form, and Zoom meetings created for live webinars and embedded in a course. It also shows recipes for Calendly, Asana, Capsule CRM, GoTo meetings, Beekeeper, LinkedIn, Zoho CRM, Google Drive, Dropbox, Monday.com and Todoist. The pricing table lists a public API, Zapier integrations and custom integrations, and SSO with Active Directory on the Pro plan.

Plans and prices

Innform charges per active user. The pricing page shows Starter at £1 per person a month, with 10 custom training items, multiple properties, tracking and reporting, and quizzes. Essential, at £2 per person in the plan comparison, adds 100 custom training items, training in groups, customization of Innform and custom certification. Pro, at £4 per person, adds unlimited training items, learning paths, blended learning, multilingual support, SCORM support, gamification, priority support and SSO with Active Directory. Enterprise is custom priced and adds an account manager, custom payment options, onboarding, dedicated support, a service level agreement, a custom domain and custom features. Annual billing is 10% off, prices can be shown in GBP, EUR or USD, and the page mentions volume discounts that lower the cost per user as numbers grow.

The terms are flexible. There is no minimum user count, no setup or support fee, and no contract: customers can move between plans at any time from their account. Inactive learners can be frozen so they are not billed. The trial runs for 14 days without a credit card, and afterward a customer can drop to the basic Free plan, which the pricing page sets at 1 course, tracking tools and 15 users. Monthly subscribers cancel by downgrading to that free plan. The product page also claims Innform users save up to 80% in training costs in their first year.

Support and security

Email support runs Monday to Friday, 09.00 to 18.00 GMT, with a response expected within 4 hours. Customers on Essential or Pro get live chat with an average response time below 1 hour in the same hours, and the homepage advertises instant chat support, admin training and a 30 min average response time. Security is described on the enterprise page: EU hosted infrastructure, traffic encrypted in transit via SSL, and a data center that "maintains multiple certifications including SOC1, SOC 2, SOC 3, ISO27001." The site says Innform is GDPR and CCPA compliant, and two-factor authentication appears in the feature list.

Who it suits

Innform fits companies with distributed teams, such as hotel groups, restaurants, retailers and franchises, that want to build their own training, automate onboarding and keep certificates current without a long implementation. One reviewer on the homepage, Jamin H., says it "helps us train our team which is distributed in over 100 properties!" The low per-user entry price and the free fallback plan make it easy to start small. Buyers who need learning paths, SCORM, gamification or SSO should budget for Pro, since those features sit there rather than in the cheaper plans.
