Howspace is a collaborative learning and enablement platform for organizations that run programs where people have to discuss, practice and change how they work, not just finish a course. The home page describes it as bringing "guided dialogue at scale, AI sense-making, and impact tracking into one shared space for learning, enablement and change." Its upskilling page puts it more simply: Howspace is "a collaborative learning & development platform for managing social learning programs and facilitating impactful transformation processes at scale." The company says 500+ organizations trust Howspace, and the upskilling page speaks of 500K users around the world.
What the product is
Howspace is built for L&D designers, training facilitators and change leads. The upskilling page names three kinds of organizations it fits best: corporate companies, consulting and training services, and associations and trade unions. Its argument is that a completed program is not proof that anything changed, and that content alone explains a strategy without giving people room to connect it to their role. The upskilling page names three reasons traditional upskilling falls short: static content and rigid paths disconnected from people's real tasks, low engagement because there is little peer-to-peer interaction, and business impact that is hard to measure.
The platform consists, in the company's description, of digital workspaces that act as collaboration hubs, a selection of facilitation and reflection tools, AI-powered sense-making and translation tools, and reporting and management tools. For teams that also need classic LMS functions, Howspace offers a learning management add-on that integrates with the platform and, in the company's words, turns it into "a comprehensive, social-first LXP by adding learning management capabilities."
What you actually get
Workspace Builder. Organizations create structured, branded spaces for each program, community, event, workshop or learning cohort.
Engagement Engine. Real-time or asynchronous dialogue, collaboration and co-creation happen inside the space. Participants can join live video sessions, attend face-to-face workshops, or take part in online discussions, complete assignments and reflect at their own pace, all within the same platform. Built-in translation tools help global teams take part across languages, and facilitators track engagement and contributions across all formats in one place.
Journey Designer. Facilitators design and automate guided or self-paced learning paths. The home page shows a leadership program built from modules on emotional intelligence, strategic thinking and adaptive leadership, with reflections and pre-work between them and page activities scheduled to open on set dates.
Insights Engine. AI-powered analysis turns large volumes of participant input into summaries and themes, so a facilitator running a program for hundreds of people can see what they are saying without reading every post. The upskilling page adds that these paths can be refined in real time using participant feedback and these AI insights.
Impact Tracker. Instead of stopping at completion rates, Howspace tracks behavior change alongside business results, from a baseline to a target. The home page example pairs participant survey questions (how well people can apply their learning) with business metrics such as closing rate and ARR.
Admin Console. Administrators manage users, user lists, teams, profile fields, access, governance and integrations from a central console.
Analytics. Roffey Park Institute's head of instructional design is quoted on the upskilling page: "Engagement analytics also help us track participation trends, content usage, and activity. We can see how often participants log in, what they’re looking at, and how they’re engaging."
Modules and use cases
Howspace sells expert-built platform modules that give a program a ready structure. Sales Enablement ("Make your sales methodology part of every deal") and AI Enablement are available, while Leadership and Onboarding modules are marked as coming soon. The site also has a marketplace, templates, an Academy and a help center.
The use cases on the home page fall into three groups. Learning and development covers onboarding, leadership development and capability-building programs. GTM enablement turns sales strategy, methodology, messaging and playbooks into shared habits used in deals. Strategy and change helps people take ownership of a new strategy or operating model. The upskilling page adds digital and technological upskilling, core capability development in areas like sales, operations and customer success, and onboarding, compliance training, DEI initiatives, reskilling and change management programs.
Customer results
The home page lists 500+ organizations, an NPS of 60 across all customers and a 4.9 rating. Customer stories include Kontoor Brands ("From tick-box training to a thriving global leadership community"), Walmart (turning stakeholder voices into better decisions at scale) and Visma Business Solutions, where a strategy program reached 500+ people over 5 weeks with 75% participation.
On the upskilling page, Alma Media's People Development Lead Joni Mäkinen says: "Almost 300 employees have so far undergone SEO skills coaching with Howspace. We’ve freed an enormous amount of time from our specialist trainers as we have managed to disseminate basic SEO know-how to a wider audience." Iain Shepherd of EAT says Howspace became a central tool for its global consultations and "allowed us to host more than 75+ consultations with over 5000 participants." Alma Media also used Howspace for a leadership growth path, and Mäkinen reports that some participants ranked it among the finest coaching events they had attended. Chris Woods, Managing Partner at Plaid, sums up the format: "Take the social aspects of Facebook, blend it with the community and topical information of Reddit, and put them together into a format where you’re controlling it as a facilitator."
The site has a plans and pricing page and offers demos on request. Its interface is available in English, Finnish and Swedish.
Who it suits
Howspace suits organizations whose training goal is adoption: leadership programs, sales methodology rollouts, AI enablement, strategy launches and reskilling where people need to discuss and apply what they learn with peers. It works well at scale, since one facilitated program can involve hundreds or thousands of participants, with AI summarizing what they say. Consultancies and training firms that run programs for clients, and associations or unions running member programs, are named audiences too.
Howspace itself frames the platform as a complement to an LMS: traditional LMSs, it says, are great for individual-led and "check-the-box" training, while Howspace handles collaborative programs that need measurable results. An organization whose main need is mandatory course assignment can add the learning management add-on, but the product's strength is facilitated, social learning rather than a large library of self-paced courses.
