What GoodLearning is

GoodLearning is an Italian company selling a learning management system and a small family of related tools to organizations that train staff, clients or members. Its registered office is on Vicolo Ungaretti in Mazzano, in the province of Brescia, and the site runs in Italian and English. In its own words, "Goodlearning offre un avanzato sistema LMS che integra le funzioni di un KMS (Knowledge Management System) supportato dall'AI" (Goodlearning offers an advanced LMS that integrates the functions of a knowledge management system, supported by AI).

The product menu shows the shape of the offer. Under platforms it lists GoodSuite, the LMS; GoodMeeting, for web meetings; GoodPlanning, for workflows; and GoodIdea, under development work. Under AI tools it lists GoodContent AI, GoodAnswer AI and GoodSlides AI. Under services it lists a course market (Market corsi), course creation and customization. The sectors it addresses are training bodies, industry and service companies. A banner at the top of the site, "Proteggi la tua conoscenza aziendale" (protect your company knowledge), sums up the knowledge management angle.

The LMS and what it offers

GoodLearning describes its LMS in a list of strengths published on its own blog. The interface is "semplice e intuitiva orientata all'utente finale" (simple and intuitive, oriented to the end user), so the people taking courses are the design priority. The platform has good integration with videoconferencing tools, alongside GoodMeeting, the company's own web meeting tool. It includes AI tools for generating content and a company chatbot, and the company has written about how AI speeds up creating courses and slides.

The knowledge management side is about keeping what experienced staff know inside the organization, alongside the formal courses. A recent article on the company's blog covers using AI and knowledge management to preserve company know-how, and GoodPlanning, described below, gives that knowledge a central home next to the procedures it belongs to.

Several points on that list matter for buyers with specific needs. White-labeling is offered, so a training body can present the platform under its own brand. Data hosting is in Europe and the company claims full GDPR compliance. Updates and improvements are frequent and, the company says, suggested by users, and maintenance is included in its packages. It is also possible to connect the platforms of different companies and create a training cluster (cluster formativo), which suits a group of firms or a training body serving several client companies. The company adds that clients do not need in-house IT skills to run it.

Course creation and other services

GoodLearning does not leave course building entirely to the customer. It offers help with creating courses, including turnkey courses (chiavi in mano), where the company produces the training. The services menu adds customization of the platform and a course market. For an organization without instructional designers, this means the same supplier can provide both the LMS and the content that goes into it. The company's blog also covers the economics of this work, with an article analyzing the costs of a short training module (pillola formativa).

GoodPlanning: workflows for training and compliance

GoodPlanning is the part of the suite that handles processes rather than courses. The company calls it a configurable cloud platform that turns company documentation and workflows into strategic assets, and describes it as "Brillante, semplice, su misura" (bright, simple, made to measure).

Its workflow engine lets an organization set up procedure flows quickly, automating the generation and distribution of reports and emails. It gives a central place to keep company know-how and monitor operations, aims to reduce administrative costs and procedural errors, and stores data in databases for extraction and reporting. Setting up a process takes three steps: define the flow with states, transitions, a data form and automatic actions; assign permissions to roles and people as the flow requires; then start using it by opening and monitoring cases.

The examples on the GoodPlanning page are where it ties back to training. One is managing training requirements with a model of 4 or 5 interconnected workflows that define job roles and their training requirements and link them to people. Another is a 4-workflow compliance model for tracking legal and regulatory requirements. Others include managing system documents to ISO standards, with control over revisions, approvals, distribution and deadlines; archiving and sharing documents with controlled access; managing projects with Agile and Scrum logic; and showing clients or third-party inspectors that management and operational flows are defined and under control. The company adds that GoodPlanning can act as a communication layer for other business platforms, such as management software, CRM or e-commerce.

Together with the LMS, this lets a company record who needs which training, deliver it, and show an inspection that the process is in place.

Pricing and contact

The company describes its pricing as flexible and suited to different company sizes, and the site has a pricing page (Prezzi) in its main menu. Demos are free and can be booked from the product pages, and the company invites prospects to book a no-commitment appointment. Contact is by email at info@goodlearning.it or by phone.

Strengths and limits, in the company's words

GoodLearning's blog is open about where the platform is weaker. It lists a smaller user community than the large international players, a more limited number of third-party integrations, and gamification features that are less developed than some alternatives. It describes the platform as ideal for Italian and European companies that care about GDPR compliance, organizations looking for support in their own language, and training settings that need a balance between ease of use and room for customization.

Who it suits and who it does not

GoodLearning suits Italian organizations that want an LMS, live sessions, AI help with content and a supplier who can build courses for them, all with support in Italian and data hosted in Europe. Training bodies benefit from white-labeling and the training cluster option, while industrial and service companies with ISO or regulatory obligations get GoodPlanning's training-requirements and compliance workflows alongside the LMS.

It is a weaker match for organizations that rely on a large catalog of ready-made integrations or want heavy gamification, the two areas the company itself names as limits. Teams outside Italy should note that the site and its articles are written for an Italian audience, even though an English version of the site exists.
