What Fuse is

Fuse, from Fuse Universal, is a learning management system for companies that train their own workforce. Its home page calls it "the all-in-one ecosystem for learning", one that combines the structured training of an LMS with the connectivity and user experience of an LXP (learning experience platform) and built-in AI. The buyer is an L&D or HR team that wants to replace an existing LMS, and one of the two paths on its home page is labeled "Replace my LMS". The address in the site footer is Camburgh House on New Dover Road in Kent, United Kingdom.

Two products sit under the name. The Fuse LMS covers courses, search, social learning, authoring, mobile access, analytics and integrations. Lyra is an AI learning and performance partner embedded in the LMS, aimed at taking people, in the company's words, from "I sort of get it" to true capability. The customers named on the case studies page are Levy, Scandic Hotels, Hilti, IHG, Panasonic and Seasalt.

The learner experience

Fuse puts a lot of weight on how the platform feels to use. The LMS page says it is "Designed to feel as familiar as YouTube, Netflix or Spotify" and that it helps users reach the content they need "in just two clicks or under 10 seconds". The same page promises a fast, simple experience for admins as well as learners.

Finding things is handled by Fuse Enterprise Search, which the site says lets learners "instantly find any learning resource from across your entire enterprise learning ecosystem." On top of search, native AI Answers gives automated performance support and answers drawn from the organization's own learning resources, from day one. That makes the platform usable as a reference tool during the working day, not only as a place to take assigned courses.

Social learning is the third layer. Fuse is built for employees to share insights, ask questions and collaborate in real time, through expert communities, peer discussions and easy content creation. The idea is that knowledge held by experienced staff gets captured and made available to everyone when they need it.

Access works through a mobile app and a desktop plugin called Fuse Flow, so frontline staff, desk workers and remote employees can reach content where the work happens.

Course+ for authoring

Course+ is the authoring side of the product, which the company describes as its advanced AI course authoring tool, built into the Fuse platform. It is meant to turn static material into interactive learning, and the site says it does so "quickly and easily." Everything built in Course+ is searchable inside Fuse straight away, so the same course can serve formal training and quick look-ups during work.

The feature that matters most for multinational teams is translation. The LMS page says Course+ "allows for translation into over 70 languages", positioning it for global organizations with teams spread across countries. The company has also published an article on how Fuse AI courses handle creating, translating and launching content.

Lyra, the AI performance partner

Lyra is where Fuse goes furthest beyond a standard LMS. The site describes it as an AI performance coach that supports the full learning loop in the flow of work, and lays it out in four stages.

In Learn, Lyra turns an organization's existing resources into a living knowledge base, so employees can ask a question instead of searching manuals or waiting for an expert. Each learner goes through a tailored assessment plan and an adaptive learning course based on their answers.

In Exercise, employees rehearse key tasks with "realistic, AI-powered roleplays and scenario-based practice", such as running a sales meeting or handling a complaint, before they face the real situation.

In Apply, Lyra acts as a thinking partner during real work. When someone is drafting a proposal, running a call or resolving a ticket, the site says the system retrieves the right processes, structures their thinking and suggests improvements before the work goes out.

In Perform, Lyra analyzes performance data and behavior patterns, highlights growth, points to areas to stretch and suggests next steps, with personalized feedback that sends people back to practice where they need it.

The Lyra page names four places it adds value: onboarding new hires, frontline workforces that need mobile, context-aware answers across locations and shifts, leadership development with targeted pathways and scenario rehearsal, and sales teams practicing pitches and objection handling against simulated customer conversations. A testimonial from Charles Jennings, founder of the 70:20:10 Institute, says: "This Lyra thinking partner enables me to produce the work of an entire L&D team within a fraction of the time".

Reporting and integrations

Fuse's analytics are real-time. The LMS page says "From engagement to completions, everything is trackable, searchable, and reportable. No spreadsheets needed." Custom dashboards and smart filters let administrators drill into the detail and link learning to performance, which is the evidence an L&D team needs when it has to show a return on training spend.

For integrations, the site says Fuse connects with an existing tech stack, from HR systems and content providers to analytics platforms, using secure APIs, SSO and connectors. The section heading pitches it as central control that stays flexible locally, which is the case for multi-site companies: one platform run from the center, with room for local teams to adapt it.

Results the company publishes

Fuse publishes several outcome figures, all its own or its customers' claims. The home page cites 3x faster onboarding time to value, 90% weekly engagement against a 30% industry average, and a 22% rise in till point scores year on year. Levy's head of L&D, David Goddard, is quoted: "We saw a 12% increase in the training metric on our engagement survey within the first 8 months of using Fuse." Panasonic is quoted saying that keeping its people more connected raised its staff retention rate by 26%, and Seasalt Cornwall says store sales rose by 10% against its targets and till point CSAT scores by 22% year on year after a bespoke Fuse training program.

The case studies page adds Hilti's story of cutting sales onboarding time from 15 to 3 months, Scandic Hotels' account of its 18,000 team members becoming decision makers, Levy turning 30 years of hidden expertise into a 12% increase in engagement, and IHG using the Fuse LMS to change leadership training for its global audience.

Pricing

Fuse publishes no prices. Every route on the site leads to booking a demo.

Who it suits and who it does not

Fuse suits companies with large, spread-out workforces, especially hospitality, retail and frontline employers like the ones in its case studies, where people need answers on a phone during a shift and new staff must get up to speed fast. It fits L&D teams that want one platform for formal courses, searchable knowledge and peer learning, and teams that need courses translated for many countries. Sales and customer-facing teams get the most from Lyra's roleplay practice and on-the-job coaching.

It is a heavier choice for a small business that only needs to assign a few compliance courses and record completions. Much of what Fuse sells is engagement, AI coaching and performance analysis, and a buyer who wants none of that would be paying for a platform built around it. The demo-only route also means there is no self-serve way to try it first.
