What Expert LMS is

Expert LMS is an all-in-one learning platform for businesses that train their own staff, with a white-label edition for resellers who want to offer the same platform to clients under their own brand. The homepage calls it "the world's best all-in-one online LMS platform for any business" and says it covers onboarding new employees, compliance and upskilling. The company is Expert LMS Limited, whose footer address is in Porthcawl, Wales. The reader it fits is an HR, operations or training manager at a multi-site business, such as a hospitality group, retailer or franchise, who wants training, appraisals, documents and staff communication in one app.

The industries the site names are hospitality, software, sales, manufacturing, retail, real estate, construction and franchises, and the use cases are onboarding and induction, compliance training, employee training, communication, upskilling, remote training and white label for resellers.

Building and assigning training

Courses are built inside the platform. The homepage says you can build courses "without having to use any 3rd party tools" using elements such as text, images, videos, interactive quizzes and even SCORM, and that content works on any device. Document uploads and tests can be added too, and the site says you can upload and create as many courses as you want. SCORM upload lets you bring in courses made with external authoring tools.

The AI course builder is offered to all users. According to the white-label page, it helps create courses faster "by automatically analysing PDF documents and generating content", with drag-and-drop editing to change layouts, add multimedia and refine materials.

Automations handle assignment. The homepage says you can "Automatically assign training, career paths and reviews to learners based on job role, branch, area, department and more", which is what makes the platform workable for chains with staff spread across sites. A custom report builder produces in-depth reports for tracking learners, and the reporting feature promises instant insights across the LMS.

The included course library

Expert LMS bundles a course library, which is why it also sits under training libraries. The homepage says "Over 100 accredited courses included as standard" and "the 100+ courses we bundle with our online LMS for free", without naming an accrediting body. Library categories are equality and diversity, customer service, human resources, food safety, wellness, health and safety, and hospitality.

The homepage list shows the flavor, which leans toward hospitality and workplace wellbeing: Responsible Alcohol Retail, Personal Licence Complete Course, Coffee Academy, Learn Wine, Guinness The Perfect Pour, Gluten Free Training for Hospitality and Acrylamide Food Safety sit beside Manual Handling, Ladder Safety, Construction Safety, Information Security Training and Social Media Guidelines. HR and management titles include A Guide to Workplace Integrity, Problems at Work and When to Contact HR, Managing a Customer Service Team, Motivating Your Team, Effective Feedback Strategies, Performance Management, A Guide to Managing Remote Teams and How to Recognise & Overcome Bias, and the wellbeing courses cover stress, anxiety, social anxiety and OCD.

Beyond courses

Several features make Expert LMS closer to a light HR and communication tool than a pure course host.

Career paths define a clear route of progression for employees, which the site says motivates learners and boosts completion.

Reviews embed appraisals in the platform. The homepage says you can "assign questions for managers and employees to complete together" and set, track and review goals. The white-label page adds auto-grading, in-depth analytics and automation for evaluations.

The document library is a central hub for company documents. With mandatory sign-off, you can track who has accessed and acknowledged each document, keeping an auditable record. Zakaria of Oodles Wok says "The built-in document library is a fantastic feature, allowing documents and videos to be shared publicly or selectively with users enrolled in the software."

Feeds and chats cover internal communication. There is instant messaging, and the social feed lets organizations create unlimited channels for teams, departments or branches, control who takes part, and share updates, documents and real-time discussions.

Checklists organize tasks, track progress and help teams stay compliant.

The app

Expert LMS is app based. Staff download a free app from the App Store and Google Play, and the homepage argues that push notifications engage users better "than traditional clunky emails". Smart push notifications and built-in communication are pitched together as the engagement layer.

White label for resellers

The white-label edition is for training providers and consultancies that want to run an LMS business. Resellers can use their own custom domain, swap in their own colors and logos, and publish a branded app so customers find it under the reseller's name in the Google Play Store and Apple App Store. An admin dashboard lets the reseller create and manage customer accounts, assign roles and permissions, track usage and provide support. Onboarding a new customer takes a few clicks, with the portal provisioned automatically, and updates are deployed automatically for the reseller and its customers. Resellers can build a network of clients with their venues, sites and areas, give the 100+ library courses to customers at no additional cost, and build their own course library to offer as well.

Integrations and support

The homepage says the company builds custom integrations with third parties and provides its own open API; the white-label page describes "fully featured API access" and integration with existing HR systems, with bespoke integrations on request and a set of ready-made integrations. The resources menu lists a blog, support, webinars and guides, and the company can be reached by email and phone.

Pricing and trial

The site does not print prices on its homepage. It offers a free trial ("Start building your bespoke learning platform today with no cost or commitment") and demos, including a white-label demo that comes with access to your own platform. A pricing page sits in the menu.

Customer quotes on the white-label page include Pam of Upham Inns ("Expert LMS is one of the most agile and user friendly systems that I have worked with"), Helena R. of San Carlo, who says the team was "consistently on hand to support us" from the first demo onward, and Jon of Clays ("Transformative for our training needs, powerful tool for tracking and bespoke training development.").

Who it suits

Expert LMS suits multi-site businesses, especially in hospitality, retail and franchising, that want onboarding, compliance courses, appraisals, policy sign-off and staff messaging in one mobile app, assigned automatically by role, branch and area. The included library is most useful where its hospitality, food safety, licensing and wellbeing titles match the workforce. Training companies and consultancies that want to sell an LMS under their own brand will find the white-label edition, with its own app store listing and central client management, the main draw.

It is a less natural fit for organizations that want a deep catalog in technical or professional subjects, since the bundled courses lean toward hospitality, HR and wellbeing, or for buyers who need published prices before a conversation.
