What Exec is
Exec is a training platform built around practicing conversations. Its homepage headline is "AI-powered training for high-stakes conversations", and the footer describes it as "a training platform that uses AI roleplays, call scoring, and live coaching to help teams practice and improve the conversations that drive their business." It serves two readers. For sales, customer success and support teams it offers sales readiness, onboarding and conversation intelligence. For people and L&D teams it offers leadership development, self-paced courses, compliance certification and 1:1 coaching, which is why it sits in this directory under business LMS, coaching platforms and sales training.
The company behind it is Exec Holdings, Inc., and the site says it is "Built in San Francisco". Its CEO is Sean Linehan; his author bio on the Exec blog says that before founding Exec he was VP of Product at the logistics company Flexport, where he helped it grow from $1M to $500M in revenue.
The products
Exec sells six modules that can be used alone or together; the homepage calls them "Powerful alone, better together".
AI Roleplays are the core. The site describes them as "Like a flight simulator for conversations": reps build sales readiness and managers rehearse hard conversations against AI personas that push back, handle objections and respond naturally. The practice is voice-based, scenarios can be built around your own business, and learners get instant feedback on tone, technique and approach. Exec's blog makes the case for repetition, saying reps practice the same objection "10, 20, 50 times until the response becomes natural". A recent release adds group roleplays.
Call Scoring is Exec's conversation intelligence. It connects to your call recorder, scores real calls against fully customizable rubrics that match your sales process, and surfaces patterns across the team so managers know where to focus coaching. A newer feature turns recorded calls into practice scenarios, closing the loop between what happened on a real call and what a rep rehearses next.
Courses provide "Self-paced learning with quizzes and progress tracking, from compliance training to employee certification." Exec announced in July 2026 that you can build a full course from your existing material in minutes.
Programs are structured onboarding and leadership development programs that combine AI roleplays, group sessions and automated program management. Knowledge Hub is sales content management for playbooks, resources and best practices, and the site says everything feeds your training from that one source. Knowledge Hub now has a public REST API.
Coaching offers "Live 1:1 executive and sales manager coaching at scale, with vetted coaches and flexible tools." Coaches can apply to join through the site.
Measuring readiness
Analytics are built to show whether training changed behavior. A manager dashboard shows team progress at a glance and who needs support, skill tracking follows improvement over time through skill assessments, and certification gates are meant to "Ensure readiness before team members take on new responsibilities". Exec's own comparison guide describes the intended cycle as teach the standard, practice the skill, score performance, coach the gap, apply it at work and measure the real conversation, and adds reminders and surveys to the program tools.
The homepage reports its own impact figures: 92% program completion, an average improvement of +22 points on a 100-point skill assessment, 98% of participants saying the experience directly improved their performance, and a 4.9 average session rating for coaching. Drew Fifeld, Head of Global Talent Development at Axonius, is quoted: "We're now able to deliver highly personalized learning experiences at scale, all while delivering a tangible return on our investment." The same guide cites a 4.9/5 rating from 40 G2 reviews as of July 2026, in an article where Exec notes it is both the publisher and one of the platforms reviewed.
Use cases and buyers
The homepage lists sales training, manager effectiveness, leadership development, customer service training, employee onboarding, change management, interview training and performance management. Solutions are organized by team (sales training, customer success, support, L&D), by use case (sales enablement, sales onboarding, sales readiness, conversation intelligence, employee training) and by industry (technology and SaaS, healthcare and life sciences, financial services, professional services and automotive). For revenue teams the pitch is that reps, CSMs and support agents practice in AI roleplays, get every call scored and certify before going live, with onboarding programs that "cut ramp time".
Administration and security
The enterprise section lists user provisioning to automate access from hire to retire, advanced permissions, and flexible groups that organize users by department, location or development needs. The site states SOC 2 Type 2 certification and TLS 1.2+ encryption, and says "Exec never uses your data to train our models." Exec's guide adds SSO, SCIM, multilingual roleplays and public APIs, and API documentation and a help center are linked from the menu.
Pricing
Exec publishes its software prices in its comparison guide: a free plan, Starter at $20 per full seat per month and Professional at $39 per full seat per month when billed annually, and custom Enterprise pricing. The guide says live coaching and services depend on program design, and that live coaching and large-scale implementations may add usage-based or custom costs, so the seat price covers the software rather than human coaching. The site's main buttons are "Try for Free" and "Watch a Demo", and there are partner and affiliate programs.
Who it suits
Exec suits sales, customer success and support organizations that want new hires ready faster and want proof of readiness before reps talk to customers: AI roleplays for volume practice, call scoring on real conversations, and certification gates in one place. It also suits L&D teams running manager and leadership programs where hard conversations matter, such as feedback, performance reviews and interviews, and that want to mix AI practice with human coaching. The free plan and published seat prices make it easy to trial before a larger rollout.
It is a narrower fit for organizations that mainly need a broad off-the-shelf course catalog, since Exec's content is built from your own playbooks and scenarios, or for roles where live conversation is a small part of the job. Its own guide notes that a company wanting only confidential coaching for a handful of executives may not need roleplays, courses, call scoring or certification, and that total coaching cost depends on the program.
