Eduves is a Turkish e-learning company whose main product, Eduves LMS, lets an organization build online training and assessment paths for its employees, customers and partners. The homepage calls it "Türkiye'nin E-Öğrenme Sistemi" (Turkey's e-learning system), and the footer says Eduves has provided customized training and assessment solutions for companies and training organizations "2012 yılından bu yana" (since 2012). Its head office is in Nilüfer, Bursa. Alongside the LMS it sells a live-class product, a meeting product, a ready-made course catalog, custom content production, and an online basic occupational health and safety course of its own.

The site sums the whole offer up as "Tüm Uzaktan Eğitim İhtiyaçlarınız Tek Sistemde" (all your distance learning needs in one system) and lists what that covers: LMS, live lessons, exams, surveys, video, SCORM, xAPI and a content tool.

Eduves LMS for running training

The LMS page opens with the promise of e-learning programs that train, verify and communicate, and lists class management, video conferencing, e-commerce support and a simple, modern interface with flexible settings. The administrative features are the ones a corporate training team looks for first:

  • Enrollment rules (Kayıt Kuralları) create automatic enrollment policies, for example assigning a set course to every newly registered learner.
  • User management creates users with different permissions and imports existing users either through LDAP or from Excel or CSV files.
  • User authorization lets you build profiles for specific administrative tasks, so managing the LMS can be shared out.
  • Automatic notifications keep learners informed about events relevant to their training.
  • Tags organize online courses.
  • A course catalog lets users browse your own catalog and subscribe to courses themselves.

The site also says Eduves LMS comes with an advanced reporting engine that can report on every detail, a custom interface design, and a single central training environment that follows international e-learning standards.

Content and standards

Eduves LMS takes SCORM 1.2 and 2004 packages and xAPI (Tin Can API) content, which means courses built in other authoring tools can be loaded rather than rebuilt. The content modules page also lists glossary, survey, video, forum and wiki activities, and the LMS lets you produce, publish and report on your own content. For organizations without the time to write courses, Eduves offers custom training designs: its team prepares interactive, animated content made for the client.

Exams and certificates

Assessment gets its own e-exam module. Instructors can write questions for a specific exam or pull a batch of questions from a question bank for each exam, and the question types include multiple choice, classic written answers, matching, fill-in-the-blank and find-the-wrong-word, among others.

Certificates are generated digitally and distributed to participants automatically. The certificates page adds that you can set expiry dates and manage renewals, assign certificates by course status, and produce printable certificates. That combination of expiry and renewal is what a compliance program needs for recurring training.

Live classes and integrations

Live teaching runs through video conferencing. The LMS page lists compatibility with AdobeConnect, Perculus, Onsyns, GotoMeeting, Teleskill, Skype For Business and Big Blue Button, and the FAQ adds Zoom and Eduves's own CES alongside Adobe Connect and BigBlueButton. Eduves CES is described on the homepage as a high-security domestic solution for webinars and live lessons, and Eduves E-Toplantı as a domestic online meeting product with enhanced security for corporate meetings.

For other systems, Eduves LMS has an integration API for third-party software and is compatible with CMSs such as WordPress and Joomla. Single sign-on, Active Directory and LDAP are supported through what the FAQ calls pre-built SSO and authentication connectors that work with the organization's identity provider.

Selling courses and open courses

Eduves is not only for internal training. An e-commerce application inside the system lets you sell your courses to your customers, which brings the platform within reach of training companies and educators. A MOOC feature lets you create free online courses open to anyone with a computer and an internet connection, and branding options cover your own logo and brand, your own domain, and a login page, layout and navigation customized for each audience. The custom domain option starts from an address on eduves.com and lets corporate customers use their own domain instead.

Ready-made catalog

The homepage describes a ready-made training catalog of online courses from experts that can be added to a training platform. The catalog categories shown are professional development, IT, personal development, health, photography, foreign languages, and occupational health and safety. The company's own basic occupational health and safety course (Temel İSG), prepared by Eduves specialists, is said on the homepage to be reaching "yüz binlerce çalışana" (hundreds of thousands of employees).

Hosting, languages and storage

The FAQ answers the practical questions directly. Eduves LMS works only in the browser rather than as a mobile app. It supports more than 30 languages for localizing the platform. Eduves plans include unlimited cloud storage. And the site says customers can host Eduves LMS on servers of their choosing or on Eduves's cloud infrastructure.

Sectors and support

The sectors menu lists public institutions, franchise and dealership networks, education, health, OSGB (occupational health and safety service providers), aviation, tourism, sales and marketing, and online congresses and seminars. The company also offers e-learning design and digital transformation consulting. Support is advertised as 7/24 technical support from what the homepage calls its award-winning technical support team, and sales are handled by phone and through a demo request form.

Pricing and trial

The site menu links a prices and plans page, and the footer flags a discount on the distance learning system. The LMS page offers "Ücretsiz 14 günlük denemenizi başlatın!" (start your free 14-day trial), and the homepage notes that no credit card is required. The trial is set up through the sales team, so the idea is to try the products before buying, as the site puts it.

Who it suits

Eduves fits Turkish organizations that want a full-featured LMS with local hosting options, Turkish-language support and live-class tools that include domestic alternatives: public institutions, health and OHS providers, franchise networks and aviation or tourism businesses running mandatory training with expiring certificates. Training companies get e-commerce and MOOC-style open courses on the same system. The main caveat is that it is browser-only, with no dedicated mobile app, and that the site is written in Turkish, which suits its home market.
