EDUNIO

Tap a star to rate

EDUNIO is a learning management system for Czech companies and institutions, sold by PREVENT s.r.o., whose name is on the site's copyright line. The footer lists EDUNIO's sister brands under "Více od Prevent" (more from Prevent): Firemní lékař (company doctor), Firemní kurzy (company courses), Instructor, Medbook and Pracovní úrazy (work injuries). The homepage describes EDUNIO as a platform that brings together automated training management, a library of ready-made courses and authoring of your own content, "vše v jedné aplikaci a s uživatelskou podporou v češtině" (all in one application, with user support in Czech).

The platform page sums it up in one sentence: EDUNIO "hlídá termíny, přiřazuje kurzy, vyhodnocuje testy a vystavuje certifikáty s elektronickým podpisem" (watches deadlines, assigns courses, marks tests and issues certificates with an electronic signature). Its headline there promises a platform "která za vás zorganizuje vzdělávání" (that organizes training for you). The site writes it for HR and training teams handling both mandatory and development training, and for companies that train customers and partners as well as staff.

Running training in one place

EDUNIO handles online courses, in-person sessions and blended programs together. The platform page lists online courses from PREVENT's catalog and from third parties, in-person training events with dates and attendance records, blended learning that combines online and face-to-face work with webinars and learning paths, a catalog of voluntary training with an approval workflow, and automatic email invitations, reminders and follow-up reminders. The point the site makes repeatedly is that assignment, deadline tracking and record-keeping "běží samy" (run by themselves).

For in-person and hybrid courses, the blended learning use case brings dates, attendance, e-signatures and e-learning into one platform, which matters for companies that still run classroom safety briefings but want the records digital.

Informing staff

Beyond courses, EDUNIO has tools for getting information to people and proving they received it:

  • DIS, for acquainting employees or users with documents in a way that can be proven later;
  • a Library, a company knowledge base of documents, videos and links;
  • an organizational structure of linked or independent user groups, so information can be targeted;
  • Messages, sent to targeted groups or to the participants of selected courses and events.

The knowledge-base use case adds search, versioning and access rights for company know-how, procedures and manuals.

Creating your own courses

The authoring tools are deliberately simple. PPT Learning is pitched as the easiest route to your own online courses without special tools or skills. Video courses can be recorded, the site says, even with just a phone. A Course Builder assembles simple online courses directly inside the LMS, and tests and surveys check knowledge or gather feedback. For anything more ambitious, PREVENT's team builds custom courses to order, and the course menu has a page on implementing SCORM courses alongside third-party courses.

Evaluating people and tracking qualifications

A third block covers evaluation: a KPI module for rating employees against key performance indicators, questionnaires, custom checklists for inspections or assessments, and a configurable workflow for evaluation on several levels.

EDUNIO also keeps HR records beyond training. Competencies (Způsobilosti) track one-off or periodic activities such as specific professional qualifications or medical checkups. Qualifications (Kvalifikace) let you define the requirements for each job position and automate meeting them. Roles set permissions for four kinds of user: Admin, Lektor (trainer), Manažer (manager) and Student. Electronic signing lets everything be signed electronically and archived.

Extension modules

The platform page says there are 12 optional extension modules. Three are named on it. Onboarding digitizes the whole onboarding process, from online training and document sign-off to meetings with colleagues. A GDPR module manages consents related to personal data protection. And EDUNIO connects to Medbook, PREVENT's own app for verifying medical fitness for work. The course menu also marks a new affidavits module (Čestná prohlášení) and employee health-fitness checks as recent additions.

Ready-made courses

The homepage promises "Desítky online kurzů z katalogu" (dozens of online courses from the catalog), courses made to order by the PREVENT team, or your own courses. The course menu names a package for occupational safety and fire protection (BOZP a PO) that includes driver training and first aid training, a cybersecurity course written for the NIS 2 directive, workplace safety training for induction and periodic sessions, a new course on the basics of using AI at work, fire protection training, an add-on for safety when working from home, and a new course on preventing injuries at team-building events.

Customization and integrations

EDUNIO can be set up to look and behave like part of the customer's own systems. The platform page lists:

  • deployment on your own domain (its example is vzdelavani.firma.cz);
  • logo, colors and typography to match your brand;
  • custom email templates, reminder intervals and repetition rules;
  • roles and rights, organizational structure and record-keeping rules;
  • only the modules you actually use;
  • turnkey customization: custom functions, integrations, imports or workflows.

A separate section, "Integrace i SSO", offers connections to your IT systems, including single sign-on.

Customers and partners

The customer and partner training use case is a separate platform for external learning, "od produktových školení po certifikační programy" (from product training to certification programs). The homepage's feature list says EDUNIO serves employees, customers and partners. Purpose-built projects, such as a campaign, a development program or a certification, get their own themed space.

Hosting, support and credentials

The homepage lists Czech support by phone, email and chat, Czech data centers, no installation, and updates included in the price. Among its badges are GxP validation, GDPR compliance ("Splňuje GDPR"), ČSN EN ISO 9001:2016 and ČSN EN ISO/IEC 27001:2023, cloud computing provider status, and "Akreditovaná vzdělávací instituce" (accredited educational institution); the site names no accrediting body. It says the platform comes with PREVENT's contractual guarantee and long experience in corporate training.

The homepage figures are a 4.9 out of 5 client rating, 6,000+ companies and institutions, 23 years on the Czech market, 1 million trained employees and 14 million completed courses. Testimonials come from an HR manager in energy, a safety technician in retail and a personnel director in logistics. One calls it "Efektivní, bezpapírové a velmi příjemné prozákaznické řešení zákonných i interních kurzů" (an effective, paperless and very customer-friendly solution for statutory and internal courses), and another values electronic certificates for saving paper.

Pricing and trying it

The menu links a price list. The homepage route is a short inquiry form, after which EDUNIO says it will send an indicative quote by the next day, or a demo that starts in one click.

Who it suits

EDUNIO fits Czech employers that need statutory safety training, document acknowledgment and qualification tracking handled with proper records, and that want the course catalog and the LMS from one supplier. Companies with in-person training get attendance and e-signatures in the same system, and those training customers or partners can run a separate external academy. The caveat is language: the product, its courses and its support are Czech, which suits its home market and limits it outside it.
