What easylearn is
easylearn is a corporate learning platform from easylearn schweiz ag in Hünenberg, Switzerland, with a German subsidiary, easylearn Deutschland GmbH, in Rosenheim. It is built for companies that train their own employees, and the English homepage describes it as "a comprehensive yet flexible solution for your corporate training across all learning formats." That means e-learning, classroom training and blended programs that mix the two, all run from one system.
The product is sold in three parts that the company presents together: the learning platform itself, ready-made learning content, and services around introducing and running it. The German homepage puts it as learning platform, learning content and services "aus einer Hand" (from a single source), and says the modular structure lets a company extend its setup step by step. The company also stresses where it works from: from the first line of code to its cloud services, it says, "everything we do is proudly Swiss made."
The modules
The homepage names the building blocks in one sentence: "Manage all learning processes with the integrated Learning Management System (LMS), train your employees with the e-learning module, organize your classroom courses via the event management module, create your own e-learning content with the authoring tool and provide a practical reference resource with the Wiki module." The menu adds Assessments & Surveys and a module for connections and interfaces (Anbindungen & Schnittstellen). A recent rebrand gave the modules new product names; the German pages now call the e-learning module easylearn train and the reference tool easylearn find.
The e-learning module rolls courses out to employees automatically and keeps their progress visible. Its feature list covers an appealing learning environment, a personalized start page, learning recipes and learning paths, a built-in note function for learners, notifications, an overview of all e-learnings, and a personal training profile. The page says learners can work at their own pace, independent of time and place, and that course certificates help make the experience positive. It suggests e-learning on its own or as part of blended learning with classroom sessions, for onboarding, product and process training, software training, and mandatory and compliance training.
The event management module handles classroom courses, which the homepage says are "centrally administered." The Wiki gives employees a reference for everyday questions. Assessments and surveys sit in their own module, and a blog post on the site announces that version 6.6 can translate assessments into other languages with AI.
Content: build, buy or commission
There are three routes to course content. With the authoring tool module, a company builds its own e-learning courses inside the platform. It can also choose from the standard catalog; the English homepage says "Our standard catalog is sure to include an online course for your organization," and the German homepage counts "Über 1000 e-Learnings" (over 1,000 e-learnings) on many topics. Or it can have easylearn produce a custom course professionally through its content production service.
Existing courses can come in as well. A blog post on the homepage explains how to upload ready-made e-learnings from outside providers in SCORM format into easylearn, and another covers importing user data into the LMS.
Connecting and securing the platform
The blog posts listed on the homepage document several technical features. easylearn connect links the LMS to third-party systems such as a CRM or time-tracking software. WebHooks are described as a new interface feature for fitting the LMS into a company's system landscape, a shop integration links the learning offer to a webshop, and another post covers secure authentication with SSO and SAML. The same list reports that the education experts of the eLearning Journal gave the easylearn LMS the grade «sehr gut» (very good) in a product test.
On hosting, the German homepage says: "Wir entwickeln und hosten easylearn in der Schweiz" (we develop and host easylearn in Switzerland), adds that German customers are served from a cloud center in Germany, and states that the company holds ISO 27001 certification. A blog post adds that easylearn carries the "swiss made software" label together with around 1300 other companies.
Services
Services cover project management, operation, training and support. The homepage promises "expert advice and support before, during, and after the implementation of the easylearn learning platform," and says the services are there to implement the platform "and to operate it skilfully and safely." Customers on the homepage single out the support: Stefan Marti of CONCORDIA says "What I value most about easylearn is the high system performance and the competent, fast support," and Linda Gamboni of GZF calls the support "toll und prompt" (great and prompt). The company also runs a free webinar series.
Pricing
The site publishes no prices; the routes in are a free demo and a contact form. One customer comment speaks to cost: Albert Kutter of Belimed AG says, "As a Swiss company, easylearn offers a straightforward product at fair prices."
Customers
The site quotes and profiles a wide spread of Swiss and German-speaking organizations. Belimed AG trains staff on regulations, processes, applications, products, and occupational safety and health with easylearn e-learnings. Polizei Basel-Landschaft uses it to offer training independent of place and time, PLANA Küchenland uses it to structure what a franchise head office offers its franchisees, and Amcor Flexibles Rorschach AG lets staff complete training during work hours, breaks or free time. Blog case studies cover KONE, fenaco, Insel Gruppe, UPK Basel, Gilgen Door Systems and the WALTER GROUP in Austria, among others. PostAuto uses it to train 4,500 employees, including its bus drivers, on a regular schedule while passing data between systems; Strüby trains around 400 employees across different trades; and Belimed has used easylearn since 2014 for the re-certification of service technicians who work worldwide.
Who it suits
easylearn suits companies in Switzerland and Germany that want one platform for e-learning, classroom courses and a company wiki, with a vendor that will help introduce and run it. Organizations with heavy compulsory training, such as life sciences, healthcare, police and public transport, appear often among its customers. The 1,000-course catalog gives a quick start on common topics, while the authoring tool and custom production cover company-specific material. Firms that care where their data lives get Swiss hosting and a German cloud center.
The site's main pages and blog are written mostly in German, and the English site is shorter, so English-speaking buyers will get the fullest picture through a demo.
