AlphaLearn

Tap a star to rate

AlphaLearn is a learning management system for employee training, sold as a cloud service and as an on-premise install, and built, in its own words, for Indian enterprises. The home page calls it the "AI-powered cloud LMS built for Indian enterprises," able to "onboard, upskill, and certify your workforce across 12 languages." Its reader is an HR or L&D team that has to train a large, often frontline workforce, keep mandatory compliance training current, and produce the records an inspection asks for. The home page argues that global platforms "weren't designed for India's compliance landscape, language diversity, or frontline workforce," and AlphaLearn answers with hosting on AWS Mumbai, INR billing, support in IST and pre-built Indian compliance modules.

Building and assigning training

AlphaLearn handles content in what it counts as "50+ content formats," listing SCORM, video, documents, live sessions, quizzes, LTI, surveys and HTML. Existing courses can come in as SCORM 1.2, SCORM 2004 or xAPI packages, and the FAQ names Articulate Storyline, iSpring and Adobe Captivate as authoring tools whose output it imports.

AI course creation is the newest piece. A team uploads a document, pastes content or types a topic, and the AI builds a structured course with learning objectives, modules and a knowledge check, which the site says is "10x faster than manual authoring." Other AI features are an AI recommendation engine that suggests each learner's next course by role, proficiency and branch, AI skill mapping that maps skills to roles and departments and flags gaps, and AI-proctored exams with webcam-based monitoring and configurable alerts.

Assignment is largely automatic. Enrollments can be triggered by events such as an HRMS join, a course completion or a date, and courses can be auto-assigned by role or department. The site names HRMS integrations with Keka, Darwinbox, GreytHR, Zoho People and SAP SuccessFactors, so a new joiner added to the HR system can be enrolled in onboarding and compliance training on day one. The cloud LMS article on the site adds role-based access controls, audit trail reports and completion certificates with tamper-proof timestamps.

Learners on phones, in 12 languages

The mobile apps for iOS and Android have push notifications, content sharing and offline access, and the FAQ says they are "purpose-built for frontline and deskless workers in retail, manufacturing, and logistics who learn on their phones rather than at a desk." Courses can be delivered in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Marathi, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Punjabi, Odia, Assamese and Urdu. Use cases on the home page cover employee onboarding, compliance, sales training with role-based certification paths, customer training, partner and franchisee training, operations training on SOPs and safety inductions, and service and support training.

Compliance training

Compliance is where AlphaLearn goes deepest. The compliance page lists POSH, the DPDP Act 2023, fire safety, SEBI, RBI, GMP and NABH, and describes pre-built modules with automatic enrollment, assessments, certificates and audit reports built in.

The POSH awareness module covers the definition of sexual harassment under the POSH Act 2013, types of workplace harassment, complaint procedures, Internal Committee responsibilities and employee rights, and includes a quiz, a mandatory digital acknowledgement and a completion certificate. The page says POSH training is legally required for all organizations with 10+ employees, annually for all staff and within 30 days for new joiners. The DPDP Act 2023 module covers data principal rights, consent management, lawful processing bases, cross-border transfer restrictions and breach reporting, with role-specific modules for HR, sales, marketing and IT teams, and the FAQ says it is updated as the DPDP rules are finalized. Fire safety training uses scenario-based assessments, evacuation walkthroughs and annual refreshers.

For regulated sectors the page describes tracking of NISM certification training, IRDA examination preparation and AMFI ARN renewal training in BFSI; GMP, GCP and GDP records with batch numbers, version control and CDSCO-ready audit formats in pharma; and NABH-format training matrices and certificate records in healthcare. For factories it generates training registers formatted for Factories Act inspections, showing safety training per employee and per hazardous process with dates and digital signatures, with similar records for contract labor on BOCW-covered construction sites.

Renewal runs on its own. Each module has a configurable validity period (POSH is set to 12 months), retraining is assigned before it lapses, and employees and managers get reminders at 30, 14 and 7 days before expiry. If training is still incomplete at Day 25, the system emails the employee's manager. Dashboards show completion by department, location and regulation, and the page claims a compliance matrix can be generated "in 5 minutes" when an inspector arrives.

Deployment, security and support

AlphaLearn Cloud is described as "live in days with zero IT overhead," and the home page says most customers are live in 1-2 business days, with an onboarding team that handles setup and migrates users, content and historical records from a previous LMS. AlphaLearn On-Premise runs on the customer's own infrastructure, which the site pitches at BFSI, pharma and government organizations with strict data residency rules. For organizations with 1,000+ users there is an enterprise LMS with multi-tenant architecture and custom SLAs, and the FAQ says AlphaLearn scales "from small teams to 50,000+ learners."

On security the site lists ISO 27001:2022 certification, regular VAPT penetration testing, hosting on AWS Mumbai for DPDP data residency, automated backups and 99.9% uptime.

Pricing and trial

The FAQ gives no AlphaLearn rate card. It says the product is priced in INR with GST-compliant invoices, that annual licenses for larger user counts give the most value, and that buyers should ask for a custom quote. A free trial needs no credit card and gives 10 days of full access, and a 30-minute personalized demo can be booked, which the site says it arranges within one business day. Contact is by phone on +91 98198 00659 or by email at info@alphalearn.com.

Customers and ratings

The site says more than 500,000 employees at 200+ enterprises have trained on AlphaLearn, across BFSI, pharma, manufacturing and retail. Dr. Naresh, CIO of KIMS Group of Hospitals, is quoted: "AlphaLearn replaced classroom training entirely at KIMS Hospitals. We saw a 60% reduction in training travel costs and the senior management can now easily measure ROI." Shilpa Agnihotri, Head of HR at Wonderchef, says the company "has seen a substantial reduction in employee training costs," and Sharekhan Education says "Learners love the self-paced format." The home page shows a 4.9/5 rating on Capterra and says the product is recognized by Software Advice, GetApp and Capterra.

Who it suits

AlphaLearn suits Indian employers with mandatory training and a spread-out workforce: a bank or insurer tracking NISM and IRDA certifications across branches, a pharma plant that needs batch-level GMP records, a hospital preparing for NABH surveys, a factory facing Factories Act inspections, or a retail chain training floor staff on phones in their own language. The HRMS connectors and event-based enrollment make it a fit for HR teams that want new joiners enrolled without manual work, and the on-premise option covers organizations that cannot use a shared cloud.

It suits less well a team that wants to compare published prices before talking to sales, since rates come by quote, and much of its compliance depth is specific to Indian law, which matters less to an organization training staff elsewhere.
