What Ucademy is
Ucademy is a Spanish-language online academy for learners preparing for three different goals: oposiciones (public service entrance exams), university access, and official vocational training (FP Oficial). It is a learner product. You enroll in a prepared route, follow a study plan on its platform, and get live classes, mock exams and a tutor. The home page describes itself as "La academia online para conquistar el futuro que te pertenece" (the online academy to win the future that belongs to you).
The home page states that Ucademy is an official center: "Centro Oficial autorizado por el Ministerio de Educación, Formación Profesional y Deportes," and gives its center codes as 28082939 and 28081728. That status matters most for the FP Oficial track, where the qualification itself is official.
Ucademy recently split its offer into three brands, one per goal. The home page explains why: "opositores, futuros universitarios y alumnos de FP no necesitan lo mismo" (public exam candidates, future university students and FP students do not need the same thing). So it now runs Polaris for oposiciones, Atlas for university access and Explora for vocational training, sharing what it calls the same method under three names. A blog headline on the site says Ucademy grows with these three brands with the "Misma garantía Human-Tech" (same Human-Tech guarantee).
The three tracks
Polaris (oposiciones). This is the track that puts Ucademy in a government exam directory. Polaris lists six families of public service exams: Educación (education), Administrativas (administrative), Ferroviarias (railway), Sanidad (health), Fuerzas y Cuerpos (security forces) and Justicia (justice). The pitch is "Tu plaza, tu norte" (your post, your north), with "acompañamiento contínuo, un plan personalizado" (continuous support and a personalized plan).
Atlas (university access). Atlas prepares students for the university entrance route. The home page tagline is "Hackea la EBAU," and the routes listed are Selectividad, PCE, +25 and Exámenes Nacionais. The FAQ says Atlas requires that you are currently studying Bachillerato or an equivalent. A blog post on the site says its Selectividad courses aim at the "nota de corte" (cut-off grade) a student needs for their chosen degree, and that it offered nine courses taught by teachers with experience of the subject and of the exam, with trailers to watch before choosing.
Explora (FP Oficial). Explora covers official vocational training at two levels, FP Grado Medio and FP Grado Superior. Its line is that students do not just study modules but learn with real tools: "Si no te ensucia las manos, no es Explora" (if it does not get your hands dirty, it is not Explora).
For oposiciones and FP, the FAQ says entry requirements are the ones set in the BOE, and that Ucademy explains them to you in plain terms.
What a learner gets
Ucademy calls its approach the "Método Salvaje" (the wild method). Strip away the branding and the home page describes a fairly concrete package.
- Live classes and graded mock exams. The FAQ answers the question of whether this is real online teaching or a pile of PDFs like this: "Plataforma viva, clases en directo, simulacros corregidos uno a uno y tutor en activo respondiendo el mismo día. Cero PDFs muertos." (A live platform, live classes, mock exams corrected one by one and a working tutor answering the same day. Zero dead PDFs.)
- Tutoring without a cap. Under "Tutorías sin tope" the site says "Pregunta hoy, te respondemos hoy. Sin límites de dudas ni horarios." (Ask today, we answer today. No limit on questions or hours.)
- Teachers from inside the system. The site describes its teachers as people who "ya han estado en el barro" (have already been in the mud), meaning someone inside the system who knows the tricks from experience, and as "Tutores en activo" (tutors who are currently working).
- A trimmed syllabus. "Temario sin paja" (syllabus without filler): only what comes up in the exam.
- Mock exams. "Simulacros que te ponen a prueba," so the real exam feels easy by comparison.
- A personal plan. The study route is adjusted to your actual schedule. Asked what happens if life gets in the way, the FAQ answers "¿Y si la vida me atropella esta semana? Recalculamos." (What if life runs me over this week? We recalculate.) It adds that nobody burns out over missing one class.
- Community. "No estudias solo, estás en manada" (you do not study alone, you are in a pack), described as a community of thousands of students.
The platform section lists access "24/7 desde cualquier dispositivo" (24/7 from any device), content updated to match the real exam, practice with real exercises and mock exams, and personalized tracking of your progress. The site also says its platform uses AI: it calls itself "La única plataforma inteligente con IA que aprende de ti mientras tú aprendes de ella" (the only smart platform with AI that learns from you while you learn from it), and says the technology spots your recurring mistakes so you can focus on what is left. That "only" is the company's own claim.
Price and enrollment
Ucademy does not publish prices. The FAQ is open about it: "¿Cuánto cuesta esto? Depende de la ruta. No te vamos a soltar una cifra en una landing para hacerte clic." It says to tell them what you want to achieve and "te pasamos el plan exacto, sin sorpresas en la matrícula" (we send you the exact plan, with no surprises at enrollment). The way in is the "Solicitar información" request form or the email address info@ucademy.com. The footer menu also lists a Becas (scholarships) page, and the FAQ says you can start "Hoy" (today).
Reviews
The home page shows a 4.0 rating with more than 1,400 reviews and points to Trustpilot as the source. Several student reviews are reproduced on the page:
- Eunice Mauxdiel Argüello Seque, an oposiciones candidate: "si no logras aprobar a la primera, Ucademy no te suelta. Te da la oportunidad de seguir preparándote sin tener que volver a pagar por el curso." (If you do not pass the first time, Ucademy does not let go of you. It gives you the chance to keep preparing without paying for the course again.) This is one student's account rather than a stated policy.
- Genoveva Lucas Recio, also an oposiciones candidate, praises the organization of the topics: "cada uno tiene vídeos, tests y supuestos prácticos. Mi tutor Francisco siempre me ayuda con los resúmenes." (Each one has videos, tests and practical cases. My tutor Francisco always helps me with summaries.)
- David Núñez Fuentes, an FP student, says it "No tiene nada que envidiar a las formaciones presenciales" (has nothing to envy in-person training).
- Afrii Fernández mentions "atención personalizada, feedback constante y material variado" (personal attention, constant feedback and varied material).
Who it suits
Ucademy fits a Spanish-speaking candidate preparing for one of the public service exams Polaris covers, who wants more than a textbook: live classes, mock exams corrected individually, and a tutor who answers within the day. People studying around a job or children are the explicit target. The site's line "Currar, hijos, gimnasio, examen" (work, kids, gym, exam) sums up who it has in mind, and the recalculated plan is built for weeks that go wrong.
It also suits a Bachillerato student aiming at Selectividad or another access route through Atlas, and someone who wants an official FP Grado Medio or Grado Superior qualification online through Explora.
The main caveat is price. Because nothing is published, comparing Ucademy with a fixed-price course means requesting a plan first. Learners who want a cheap, purely self-paced question bank are not the audience either: the model is built around tutoring and live teaching, and the content is in Spanish.
