HowToo is a learning platform from HowToo Learn Pty Ltd for technology companies and other organizations that train customers, partners and their own staff online. Its homepage says it helps tech companies "create, deliver, and track customer and partner training" with AI-powered content and modern learning experiences, and it puts course authoring, branded learning academies, analytics and a HubSpot integration into one product. The company's own 2022 comparison of authoring tools lists an "Australian-based team and data" among HowToo's strengths, and one customer quoted on the homepage calls it "an Australian company with great technology" and "a women-led startup company". The reader it serves is a customer education, partner enablement, HR or L&D team, not an individual selling a course to the public.

Three audiences, one platform

The homepage organizes the product around three uses. Customer education is pitched at driving adoption and reducing churn with scalable education. Partner education is meant to help partners sell and support your product with confidence. Internal training covers upskilling teams to support rapid growth.

Under the internal heading the site lists the kind of material organizations build with it: organizational values and culture (mission and vision statements, ethical standards, communication, team dynamics), workforce productivity (onboarding, induction, reskilling and upskilling), employee engagement (remote and hybrid working, career development, well-being, leadership development) and safety and compliance policies and frameworks. On the sales side it names customer onboarding, product training and enablement, best practices, product and feature launches, and customer knowledge management. The site says HR, operational, sales and customer education teams use HowToo to support growth and productivity, and the footer adds a solution aimed at freelancers and agencies.

Building a course

Authoring is where HowToo puts most of its effort. The homepage describes an AI Create feature that "transforms raw content into engaging and connected learning driven by storytelling and narrative", and a product area called Content creation & AI promises engaging courses built fast with AI-powered tools. The company's headline claim is that "Digital learning content creation is now 10x faster", which it ties to lower cost and to learning that stays accessible and engaging.

The 2022 comparison post, written by HowToo about its own tool, fills in how the editor works. It describes a library of layouts and templates with direct editing, drag-and-drop storyboarding and an in-built media library, with what-you-see-is-what-you-get editing of every page, plus team collaboration tools it calls "on-par with long-established competitors". The stated aim is to give even novice users the power to create engaging courses. Customers quoted on the homepage say much the same in their own words: Hassell says its "Subject Matter Experts can draft their own courses without sitting through a three day training course", and Disability Services Australia praises the "beautifully designed templates".

Teams that do not want to start from a blank page can use the Ready-to-go lessons product, which the homepage describes as pre-built lessons to accelerate internal training. Avenue Bank's quote mentions "the course template library and ready-to-go courses" it relies on for cost-effective compliance training.

Delivering and tracking training

Finished courses can go out in several ways. The Learning academies product launches branded academies or embeds learning inside your own product. The 2022 post adds that courses can be published to online links, to SCORM 1.2 and 2004 packages, through custom xAPI integrations with compatible learning management systems, and directly to HowToo's own LMS, which the post calls HowTooHub. That mix lets a team run training inside HowToo or hand SCORM packages to an LMS it already owns.

On the delivery side the homepage promises "essential LMS features without any setup costs, unnecessary fuss or clunkiness". Analytics and reporting track adoption, engagement and learning impact. The HubSpot integration connects education to HubSpot lifecycle data, and a recent post on the company blog is titled "Turn HowToo Learning Data into HubSpot Actions", which tells a customer education team that training activity is meant to sit beside the customer records it already manages. A separate Integrations product promises to bring learning into existing tools and workflows.

Learners get access whenever they need it. A PainChek quote on the homepage describes a nurse on a healthcare team who can "jump online and go through an end-to-end course about the tool" at 2AM in Perth. Transurban says HowToo gives consistency in knowledge sharing to employees across multiple countries, and the 2022 post lists mobile-friendly, web-based delivery among the platform's strengths.

Accessibility

Accessibility is the theme HowToo returns to most often. The homepage says the platform is built by "learning scientists, accessibility and AI experts". The 2022 comparison post claims HowToo was "the first tool to achieve Level AA of the WCAG 2.1 standard of web accessibility", meaning published courses are accessible for people with a wide range of disabilities. Customers repeat the point on the homepage. HubSpot's Maddie Bertram says the accessibility checker helps her team by reminding subject matter experts to include accessibility elements in their courses, and Disability Services Australia says the tool "meets the Australian WCAG AA 2.2 accessibility requirements". The footer links to dedicated Accessibility and Security pages.

Plans, services and limits

The homepage links to a pricing page but prints no prices itself. It describes "flexible pricing based on usage" and shows one plan, HowToo Pro, "For organization that need to deliver professional, branded digital learning to customers and teams". Its feature list opens with "Everything in teams, plus" and adds more theme customization options and custom fonts. HowToo Pro carries both a "Try it free" button and a demo booking, and a demo with the Learning Success team is the main call to action across the site.

Alongside the software, HowToo sells services: education strategy, program design and build "delivered end-to-end by our team", and implementation and enablement with hands-on support alongside your team. Resources include a support knowledge base, live and on-demand webinars, free eBooks, guides and checklists, an eLearning glossary, and a calculator for the ROI of customer education. The company also runs partner and ambassador programs.

The company's own 2022 comparison is frank about weak spots. It lists "May need an LMS", "Single language support" and "No automatic PowerPoint conversion" as HowToo's limitations at the time it was written.

Customers and results

The homepage profiles three projects. PainChek rolled out its online product training to over 1000 clients "in record time". The Smith Family moved face-to-face content to an online training program with unlimited access for clients, and the site says online delivery helped reach over 1.1 million disadvantaged young Australians. NSW PSC ran a voluntary training module aimed at equitable work environments in the public sector, which the site says saw high uptake and contributed to the NSW Government target of 5.6% representation of people with a disability by 2027.

Other named users include bellette for staff onboarding, Avenue Bank for compliance training, Campbelltown City Council, Transurban, Hassell, Civics Academy and HubSpot. Civics Academy's COO says the company "wouldn't have been able to expand the way we have without the HowToo platform". EventsAir's VP of Product says "Together we created something our customers truly value", and the blog announced a 2025 partnership between the two companies for event learning. The homepage also says HowToo has been recognized "with over 70 awards won to date".

Who it suits

HowToo fits a software or services company that wants to onboard customers and enable partners without hiring an instructional design team, especially one that already keeps its customer lifecycle data in HubSpot. It also suits HR and compliance teams in mid-sized organizations, councils and non-profits that need accessible training their own subject matter experts can write, and organizations that would rather have an outside team design and build a program. A solo creator selling one course to the public is not the reader the site addresses. Teams training in several languages should weigh the single-language limitation the company listed in its own comparison, and buyers who want a published price list will need a demo first.
