What it is

有赞微课堂 (Youzan Weiketang, roughly "micro classroom") is the course-selling module of Youzan (有赞), a Chinese commerce and CRM platform. It is a creator and training-business product: a tool for teachers, training institutions and knowledge sellers who want to sell courses inside the WeChat ecosystem and run their students from the same back office. The product page sums it up as "让知识付费成交跑起来", getting paid-knowledge sales moving.

The FAQ defines it as "一套面向知识付费和课程经营的工具", a set of tools for paid knowledge and course operations, which links course display, enrollment and purchase, teaching and student follow-up so the merchant does not have to switch back and forth between several platforms. The same answer says it suits merchants running live classes, recorded courses, trial classes and full-price courses. Everything on the pages is in Chinese.

Setting up and selling courses

Courses live in a knowledge shop (知识店铺) or in columns (专栏). The page says these can display and sell courses in the WeChat ecosystem and on other platforms, so a merchant can put the course description, the signup button and the payment flow in one place and let a learner buy straight from the course page.

Teaching runs in three formats: live streaming (直播), an online classroom (在线课堂) and recorded courses (录播课程). The product page claims that "从开课到收费一键完成", opening a class and charging for it take a single step, which it pitches as lowering the technical bar for institutions and instructors. Course creation, signup, purchase and online payment are linked, so trial classes (体验课), full-price courses (正价课) and exclusive member benefits (专属权益) can each be sold and paid for without a separate checkout. The FAQ adds topic courses (专题课) and long-running courses to the kinds of course a merchant can sell this way.

Enrollment comes in through WeChat Official Accounts (公众号), mini programs (小程序), 企业微信 (WeChat for business) and community groups (社群). Merchants publish course entry points with the marketing tools and send interested people from a live room, a private community or an Official Account to the signup page, building up a pool of leads as they go.

Teaching, interaction and follow-up

For the classroom itself, 微课堂 provides a buzzer-style quick-answer feature (抢答), screen interaction (屏幕互动), classroom Q&A (课堂问答), homework check-ins (作业打卡) and study reminders (学习提醒). The page says these help raise participation and completion rates; the FAQ adds that a teacher can run them during a lesson and use them after class to keep students on track.

The product page frames the follow-up work around three common problems for course sellers:

  • Live signups that slip away. A trial-class signup link sits in the live stream, and after the session the merchant follows up through 企业微信 with viewers who did not buy, including discount reminders.
  • Students who are not segmented. Learners are tagged from their interaction and completion data, and the most engaged ones get a personal follow-up call or message.
  • Repeat purchases that get missed. The system recommends the next, more advanced course in step with each learner's progress, and sends a renewal reminder with an exclusive benefits link before access runs out.

Reporting pulls enrollment, course and learning data into one view. The page says merchants can see signups, learning progress and performance in real time, spot problems early, and use the numbers to judge which courses are popular and adjust their recruiting and follow-up.

Working with the rest of Youzan

The product page suggests pairing 微课堂 with other Youzan products. An AI mini-program builder generates mini-program pages and industry templates in one step. A WeChat customer acquisition package (微信获客方案) picks up attention from Official Accounts, WeChat Channels (视频号) and mini programs, tags the customers it captures and moves them into 企业微信. Across the wider site, Youzan lists its own payment service (有赞支付), a CRM, a marketing automation system, private-domain live streaming and an education solution (有赞教育) among its offerings, so a course business already using Youzan for retail or membership can keep everything on one account.

The evidence from the pages

The product page publishes no prices for 微课堂. Its calls to action are a free product trial (免费试用产品) and a booking for an expert consultation (预约专家咨询), plus a request for a custom plan (定制专属方案).

The merchant cases shown on the course page are from retail and visitor businesses rather than course sellers: 王星记, a century-old brand, at a 67% member conversion rate using a mini program and 企业微信; a nature-themed museum in Beijing at 100% online ticket sales; a Shanghai retro bakery brand with 20万 members it can reach; and a bakery brand in Huzhou with 96% of store orders placed online. They show the platform at work, but none of them is a course business.

For Youzan as a whole, the home page says it is helping 55,833 brands, including 宝洁, TCL and 农夫山泉, has enabled 2,058,344 salespeople to close sales, and has built lasting customer relationships with 122,643,473 consumers. It cites "13 年的社交电商经验和积累", 13 years of social commerce experience, and says "有赞每年帮助商家完成超过 1,000 亿交易额", that Youzan helps merchants process more than 1,000 亿 in transactions a year. Another section says that over those 13 years Youzan has served millions of merchants (数百万商家), and it points them to an online business school (有赞在线生意学堂), merchant alliances in different regions and market events where they can learn from other operators.

The home page also lists the platform's security and reliability credentials in its own words: information security management system certification, information security level protection at level three (信息安全等级保护 三级), a provincial high-tech enterprise R&D center, payment card product data security standard certification, and an international cloud computing security certification. Support on the home page includes 24-hour online answers and advice (24小时在线答疑), solution consultants, product and delivery consultants, customer success, certified service providers, app development and custom work, a help center, a merchant community and an app market.

Who it suits

有赞微课堂 suits a Chinese-speaking teacher, training center or knowledge seller whose audience already lives on WeChat: someone who recruits through live streams and Official Accounts, sells trial classes that lead into full-price courses, and wants tagging, renewal reminders and progress-based upsells to run from the same system that takes the payment. Merchants who already use Youzan for a shop or membership program get the most from it, because the course tools sit beside the rest of the account.

It fits less well for a creator selling to an audience outside China or outside WeChat, since the pages describe enrollment and sales through WeChat channels and the whole interface is in Chinese. Anyone who needs a published price list before talking to sales will have to start with the free trial or a consultation, because the course page offers no plans or rates.
