Tap a star to rate
TrainerCentral is an online training platform for building courses, teaching them live or on demand, and selling them from your own branded site. The homepage names three kinds of customer: independent course creators, training institutes and consultants who deliver programs to outside organizations, and businesses that train partners and educate customers. Customers quoted on the site call it "Zoho's TrainerCentral," and its integrations run through Zoho Flow as well as Zapier. The features page sums up the money side in one line: "You won't pay any commissions on the revenue you make by selling your online courses through TrainerCentral." Its customer stories filter by country, listing India, Singapore, the United Kingdom, Sri Lanka, Canada and Australia.
Building a course
Courses are put together in a course builder where the trainer plans lessons and adds material in several formats. The homepage says an AI-assisted builder "drafts outlines, lessons, and quizzes for you," and lessons can carry videos, audio, slides and PDFs; the businesses page adds text documents and presentations. Courses can be bundled into a single package and upsold. A drip scheduler controls when learners can open each part of a course, and the trainer can set criteria a learner must meet before moving on to the next chapter or section, such as prerequisites for key lessons.
Assessment covers timed quizzes, graded tests and assignments with built-in instructor feedback. In tests and quizzes the trainer assigns scores, allows retakes and shuffles questions. Learners who finish a course receive a certificate built from dozens of predefined templates, customized and branded, which they can share on LinkedIn or have verified with a QR code. A learner portal shows each person their course progress, subscriptions, payments, upcoming sessions and completed certificates.
Live classes and community
TrainerCentral's virtual classroom is where the cohort and live side of the product sits. Trainers host live workshops and one-on-one sessions for learners anywhere, with HD video, screen sharing, live polls, quizzes, Q&A, whiteboards, breakout rooms, customized virtual backgrounds and group video sharing. Learners can talk in private and public chats and share their own screens and video. Every session can be recorded and the replay made available afterwards, so a course can be self-paced, live, or a blend of both.
Between sessions, community spaces hold discussions, with a thread on each lesson, and discussion forums let learners brainstorm with peers and trainers. Announcements reach all learners at once, and the creators page mentions Q&A sessions and instant feedback on the community's test results.
Selling from your own site
Each academy gets a website built with a no-code, drag-and-drop builder and dozens of themes, under the trainer's own domain and branding. The promotion tools cover meta titles, descriptions and tags for search engines, analytics codes for traffic sources, coupons and discounts, and automated email notifications to learners. The homepage adds custom forms, targeted email campaigns and marketing automation through Zoho Flow or Zapier, and the creators page mentions connecting the site with Discord, Twitter and other social platforms and embedding it on other websites.
For payments, the features page describes "flexible, country-based plans to price your courses," one-time or subscription pricing, and collection through multiple methods and currencies, and the homepage speaks of integrated payment gateways, with institutes able to manage several gateways at once. The creators page lists multi-currency and multi-language UI support for learners in other countries.
Training teams, partners and customers
The businesses page pitches TrainerCentral for partner, customer, sales and support training: structured onboarding, product education and certification programs, and learning paths for different sales teams by region and the nature of their work. Administrators create automated workflows that invite and enroll learners into specific courses, set up groups, assign lead roles and monitor team progress. Reports cover group and individual performance, and learner reports track time spent on a chapter, test scores, assignment submission status and learner feedback. An academy dashboard shows sign-ups, enrollments, revenue, completion rates and engagement, and reports on learner activity, assessments and finances can be exported. Predefined admin and trainer roles govern access, and the homepage lists single sign-on, multi-factor authentication, role-based access controls and integration with existing systems "via SSO and APIs."
White-label app and branding
The businesses page says "TrainerCentral supports the option of white labeling the academy URL and mobile app," which suits a company or academy that wants learners to see only its own brand. In the app, learners watch lessons, join live classes, take tests and submit assignments, and employees can do their training on the go.
Support, trial and pricing
Support is a large part of the offer. Classic support comes by default with a paid subscription and covers email, live chat, toll-free phone and remote assistance, with live chat and phone available 8 hours a day, Monday to Friday, an 8-hour initial response time and 15 days of onboarding support. Premium support, arranged through sales, extends chat and phone to 24 hours a day on weekdays, cuts the initial response to 3 hours and gives 45 days of onboarding. The support plans include, in the page's words, "onboarding, continuous technical assistance, and migration of your course contents from other platforms to TrainerCentral," and the team also helps set up integrations. A knowledge base, community forums and a self-service portal are open to every customer, with phone lines listed for the US, UK, Australia and India.
The creators page offers a 15-day free trial and the businesses page a demo. The feature, audience and support pages state no plan prices.
Who it suits
Customer stories on the site range from a mrudangam music school and a running club to healthcare educators and IT trainers. Muthuramalingam K.S., an entrepreneur and trainer at Sri Ram Stocks Solution, puts the appeal plainly: "I was looking for a fully integrated platform to host both recorded courses and live lessons. TrainerCentral offers everything I need, including a website builder and email marketing options."
TrainerCentral suits a trainer, coach or small academy that teaches live as well as on demand and wants the classroom, the course site and the checkout in one product without paying a commission on sales. Training institutes selling programs to client organizations get gateway management, roles and reporting, and businesses running partner, customer or sales training get automated enrollment, group reporting and SSO. The white-label site and app give a company its own branded academy. A buyer comparing costs will need to book a demo or start the trial to see prices.
