オンクラス, a shortened form of "online class", is a Japanese online course platform from 株式会社オンラインクラス (Online Class Inc.) for people who want to turn teaching into a business. Its tagline promises marketing, learning and community "これひとつで" (all in this one tool), and the home page claims more than 200,000 users and more than 8,000 companies that have adopted it. The About page lists four main uses: online schools, online salons, moving employee training online, and selling content sites, and the home page adds learning cram schools and corporate training to the range. Everything on the site is in Japanese, and the home page stresses careful customer support in Japanese.

Building a course

Courses are built from a curriculum you create in the admin screen, which the company says is designed to be easy on the eyes even if you look at it every day and simple enough for people who are not comfortable with computers, with no design or programming knowledge needed. Video can be uploaded directly, or embedded from YouTube or Vimeo so existing content can be reused. Sequential learning keeps students working through the content in order, so they cannot skip ahead or get lost. Practice problems and short tests sit right after a video, which the features page says improves retention and lets students check their understanding in a game-like way, and practice problems can be generated automatically.

The output side is what the company emphasizes most. Students submit reflections (感想文) and work on each video, which the site says raises comprehension, and the About page describes online schools using the reflection feature together with progress management to keep motivation up. Other basic functions on every plan are staff management, student management, articles, announcements and course invitation URLs. The full feature list counts 20+ functions with regular updates, including payment integration, learning plans, video summaries, AI features and CSV import.

Supporting students

Progress management shows where each student is across a whole course, so you can spot students who are falling away and send them individual messages, which the company links to higher course completion. Surveys can capture a student's situation right after joining and their satisfaction after a course, which the features page says helps with individual support and with selling further services.

The student learning screen was recently redesigned. It shows at a glance where a student is in the course, includes a learning counter to encourage students to keep going, and works on PC and smartphone. On the Pro plan and above, you can choose from 9 theme colors for the learning screen to match your course.

A community feature, announced on the home page for release in early July 2026, lets instructors and students talk in real time, lets you run an online salon, and lets students interact with each other. In the pricing table, community sits among the extensions of the Special plan.

LINE marketing and landing pages

Marketing tools were added on top of the learning side. LINE step delivery covers scenario-based step messages, tag management, automatic replies, broadcasts and inflow-route tracking, and the features page says scenarios are built like a logic tree so beginners can follow them. The company says marketers supervised which LINE functions were included. LINE delivery is available from the Beginner plan at 4,980 yen a month, which the site calls an industry first and the industry's lowest price for LINE step delivery.

The landing page builder is no-code and offers dozens of templates (数十種類以上) for pages that sell. The features page describes the full cycle of creating a course, building the landing page, selling and learning as happening entirely inside オンクラス, with landing pages included in the system fee. Email distribution is also listed in the plan table.

LINE delivery is capped at 3,000 friends on the first four tiers and unlimited on Special, matching the delivery volume of your own official LINE contract, and every tier can connect an unlimited number of official LINE accounts. The pages list payment integration as a feature without naming a provider or any fee on student purchases.

Getting started and support

The FAQ says the free trial needs no credit card; a card is only required when you move to a paid plan. You can use the platform immediately after signing up and change plans at any time, and billing happens monthly on the date you registered for the paid plan. The home page outlines four steps (click the trial button, open your account at no charge, build a course with your videos, start running it) and says you can release your own online course in as little as a month. Questions sent through the contact form are answered within 3 business days, and pricing questions can go to the official LINE account.

Who it suits

オンクラス suits Japanese instructors, coaches, online salon owners and companies who sell or deliver video courses and already reach their audience through LINE. A small school can run on Beginner with LINE marketing included, a growing course moves to Pro or Pro Plus as it passes 20 or 100 students, and larger schools or companies that need AI features, community or bulk imports talk to the company about Special. Employee training is a named use: the About page describes companies putting new-hire training online and splitting content by department, from executives to sales staff and part-timers. The course count stays at 4 on both Pro tiers, so a creator with a large catalog of separate courses reaches the Special plan sooner than one with a few large courses.
