What Sabionet is

Sabionet is a Spanish-language platform for selling online courses and running online training, built for Latin America. Its home page headline is "Plataforma para cursos y capacitaciones online" (a platform for online courses and training), and the footer describes it as an LMS designed for creating and distributing courses and online training. It serves three kinds of customer: teachers, creators and influencers who sell courses through their own branded academy; companies that train staff, train their customers or standardize internal learning; and sellers and affiliates who earn money promoting other creators' courses. Next to the academy itself, Sabionet runs a marketplace of courses and affiliates.

The home page says "Más de 4.000 academias confían en Sabionet" (more than 4,000 academies trust Sabionet). The footer says the product is made in Arequipa, Curitiba, Honda, Abancay and Guadalajara, and the company's blog names Jonathan Cavero Linares as its CEO and founder.

Building an academy and its courses

An academy on Sabionet is a branded site: the creator sets their own logo, colors and custom domain, and the FAQ explains that a domain is connected through the academy's settings in a few steps. A no-code page builder and website builder handle landing pages, and a funnels tool sits beside them.

Inside a course, the content list covers video, audio, PDF, HTML, text, exams, surveys, videoconferences and SCORM packages, and the feature copy adds webinars and documents. Microvideos are a newer format: short vertical videos the site suggests for quick tips or motivational messages to students. Video does not need an outside host. The FAQ says every video is stored in the space included with the platform and optimized to take up less room.

Sabionet also builds courses with AI. The site says "La IA de Sabionet genera automáticamente la estructura, clases, exámenes, encuestas y contenido HTML" (Sabionet's AI automatically generates the structure, lessons, exams, surveys and HTML content), turning an idea into a complete course in minutes. Other tools named in the product menu are smart exams, live sessions, communities and certificates; the blog mentions custom certificates, evaluations and surveys under the creator's own brand.

Students reach the academy on any device. The FAQ says the platform is responsive, adapting to tablets, smartphones and computers.

Engagement, automation and reporting

Gamification is one of the more developed features. A creator can assign points, create badges, set levels and show a monthly or weekly ranking of top students, and create rewards for them. The site says it is fully customizable and in Spanish, and pitches it as a way to raise participation and retention.

Communities let users write posts, run polls and comment, which the site frames as collaborative learning. Automations send personalized emails and enroll users in courses or communities at key moments, and an email marketing module handles broadcast messages. Analytics, dashboards and data tracking report on how users behave, so a creator or a training manager can see who is progressing.

Selling, payments and the marketplace

Sabionet handles checkout and passes the money straight through. The FAQ says every sale made through an academy's landing pages arrives directly in the accounts the creator has connected through their payment methods. The integrations section lists Stripe, MercadoPago, PayPal and PayU for payments, YouTube, Vimeo and Zoom for video and live sessions, and Postmark, Google, Zapier, WordPress and Facebook Pixel.

The marketplace is what sets the offer apart. The FAQ answers the question of whether Sabionet helps you sell: "Con nuestro Marketplace podrás conectar tus cursos para que tengan exposición orgánica ante empresas y personas que quieren comprar cursos" (with our Marketplace you can connect your courses so they get organic exposure to companies and people who want to buy courses). Affiliates can sign up and start selling creators' courses, and companies can buy ready-made training for their staff through the same marketplace while keeping their own internal courses private. The blog adds that Sabionet lets a creator run their own academy "sin ceder tus derechos de autor" (without giving up your copyright).

Training teams and customers

The training side covers staff training, customer training and internal standardization. The FAQ says a large share of Sabionet's customers are companies and that it offers features exclusive to staff training, but only the Pro or Business plan can be used for online training. Business customers can book a demo, and the blog says the company's e-learning consultants help choose a plan, configure the platform and launch the first course.

The testimonials lean corporate. Gustavo Zepeda of Weser Pharma says the platform has made it easier to manage all their students and to deliver training content in different formats. Víctor Pérez Castro of CA Investors writes that his firm supplies an international bank in Mexico and that Sabionet's quality was key to winning an important tender. José Antonio Neri of IMEPI says he has worked with Sabionet since 2019, and Florencia Ciuccarelli of Escuela Flor de Vida calls the platform friendly and customizable and praises its support.

Plans and prices

The pricing table has four paid tiers and a free plan, all priced in US dollars:

  • Free, USD 0, "Para la incubación de proyectos" (for incubating projects) and described as free now and always: 3000 active users, 2 GB of storage, and a fee of USD 1 + 8% per sale. The company's comparison article gives the free plans as 9.9% commission per sale instead.
  • Basic, shown at USD 39 a month in one pricing table and USD 49 a month in another on the same page: 300 active users, unlimited storage, 0% commission. The blog says paid plans start at USD 49 a month.
  • Pro, USD 79 a month, the most popular plan: 1000 active users, unlimited storage, 0% commission, aimed at projects that need exams, videoconferences or certificates.
  • Business, USD 199 a month: 3000 active users, 0% commission, with automations, emails and the gamification system, and described as the plan most used by companies training teams.
  • Enterprise, from USD 399: all features and 0% commission, for organizations that need more capacity, customization, security and specialized support.

Every paid plan carries a "Probar gratis" (try it free) button and the site says no payment is needed to start; it does not state how long the trial runs. Customers can move to a larger or smaller plan later without losing course or student data.

Support and resources

Support is in Spanish, which the blog lists as a main advantage. Help comes through a Universidad de Sabionet resource section, a help center, success stories, an email address and a meeting scheduler, and the blog page offers WhatsApp contact as well. In its own comparison article, Sabionet lists one drawback of the platform: it is newer than others and requires you to attract your own traffic.

Who it suits

Sabionet fits a Spanish-speaking creator in Latin America who wants a branded academy with local payment options such as MercadoPago and PayU, and who would rather pay a flat monthly fee with 0% commission than give up a share of each sale. The free plan lets a project start without a subscription, at the cost of a per-sale fee. Companies training staff or customers get exams, certificates, automation and gamification on the Pro and Business plans, and a marketplace where they can also buy ready-made training. Creators who want help finding buyers can list courses in the marketplace and recruit affiliates.

The caveat is the pricing presentation: the home page prints two different Basic prices, and the free plan's commission differs between the home page and the blog, so a creator should read the current pricing page closely before choosing the free tier over a paid one.
