Prolaud is a course platform for teachers, coaches and institutes that combines selling courses with running live classes, under the tagline "The course platform with the classroom built in." The homepage describes it as a place to "Sell your courses and teach your live classes in one place, on your own domain," with every student on one record, from a single teacher to a whole institution, and says institutions can add degree programs, proctored exams and academic records when they need them. It is made by Divisocial Tech Solutions Pvt. Ltd. in Dehradun, Uttarakhand, and its founder, Renu Rawat, writes that she built it after teaching her own six-year-old, until more children and their parents started asking. The pricing model is the headline: 0% commission on a flat plan rather than a cut of sales, with every payment settling from the creator's own gateway straight to their bank. The site reports creators in more than 12 countries and portals in 10 languages.
Building and selling courses
Creators can build a course by hand or describe what they teach and get back modules, lessons, quizzes, a branded site, a landing page and the copy, all editable. Quizzes come with scaffolds for entrance-exam prep, K-12, code review and essay rubrics, auto-graded. Certificates carry a QR code that resolves to a public verification page an employer can check, and there is a drag-and-drop certificate designer and bulk issuing from a CSV file.
The storefront sells eight product types: self-paced courses, live cohorts, memberships with trial support, 1:1 sessions delivered through a booking link, webinars with a meeting link and recording, digital downloads, license keys issued automatically from a pool, and bundles of any of these. Pricing can be one-time, a subscription billed monthly, quarterly, half-yearly or annually with a trial, or pay-what-you-want with a minimum and suggested amount. Coupons can be a percentage or fixed amount, time-limited, tied to a product and capped by usage. Payment plans split a course across 2 to 12 installments: the student approves auto-pay once at checkout, through UPI Autopay or a card in India or Stripe abroad, and each later installment is collected on its due date.
Live classes and cohorts
The live classroom is central to the product. Classes are scheduled, hosted and recorded inside the platform with 1080p video, a multi-cursor whiteboard, polls, raised hands and auto-chaptered recordings, so there is no separate meeting subscription. Every class saves to the creator's library, chapter markers are generated from the transcript, and class chat stays attached to the recording. Because the login that bought the seat also runs the session, attendance and progress land on the same student record as the payment. Cohorts have a shared feed with posts, comments, reactions and mentions, plus a leaderboard that scores attendance, quizzes and assignments. A Docs layer gives students handouts and lesson notes, and AI study guides can be generated from a class transcript, whiteboards and pinned questions.
Payments, GST and payouts
For Indian students, Prolaud charges in rupees through Razorpay, with UPI, cards, NetBanking and no-cost EMI, GSTIN details and GST-inclusive invoices, and the site says payouts settle from the creator's own Razorpay account to their bank on a T+2 cycle. International students pay in dollars through Stripe, with zero-rated export invoices, from the same storefront. The company's India platforms guide adds that GST registration applies once an educator's annual turnover crosses ₹20 lakh, which is why it treats GST invoicing as part of the base product.
Site, marketing and protection
Every workspace includes a multi-page public site on the creator's own domain, which AI can draft from 7 questions and a Site Coach can then score and adjust. The portal offers reorderable section types, theme presets, header and footer layouts, page-level SEO controls, custom CSS, white-label toggles and a blog with scheduling, tags, comments and lead capture; the platform badge can be removed on Pro+ plans. A built-in CRM tags paying customers and leads automatically and runs email and WhatsApp automations, including win-back messages for abandoned checkouts and re-engagement for students marked at risk.
Content protection is described with unusual frankness. Creators can cap the number of devices per student, require two-step email verification, overlay protected video and exam papers with each viewer's name, email, ID and time, lock copying, printing and downloads, and serve media through signed links that expire. The site also says plainly that it has "no Widevine or FairPlay DRM" and that no browser can block a screenshot, so the watermark is there to make a leak traceable rather than impossible.
Plans, ownership and support
There is a free Starter plan with no time limit and no credit card; the India guide says it lets you "open a storefront and sell your first course with no card." The homepage says everything it describes "ships on the free Starter plan," except AI drafting and the custom certificate designer, which need a paid tier. One of the company's comparison pages gives its own paid prices as free to start, then ₹1,499 a month, and the Studio plan at ₹3,499 a month, flat regardless of sales.
The company publishes a six-point Founder Bill of Rights: zero commission with pricing grandfathered for existing customers, a 30-day refund with no fine print including onboarding fees, full-workspace export as CSV or JSON on every plan with reimport into a fresh workspace, a public status page with post-mortems within 7 days of serious incidents, lifetime deals that stay lifetime, and a promise never to sell or cross-promote a creator's students. A public REST API is free on every plan. Support handles course doubts and public enquiries in one inbox, with replies within 2 hours on urgent issues, and the site's structured data lists English and Hindi as support languages.
Who it suits
Prolaud fits Indian teachers, tutors and coaching institutes that teach live and want to sell on their own domain without giving up a share of revenue: the site's example academies include spoken English and IELTS, school tuition with batches, a yoga studio, UPSC coaching, a coding bootcamp, a music gurukul, design courses and a finance membership. It also works for an Indian creator who sells to students abroad, since dollars through Stripe sit beside rupees through Razorpay. The company's own guide names the trade-offs: Prolaud is not a discovery marketplace, so you bring or grow your own audience, and it is a younger brand than the global incumbents.
