Plattform is a Spanish-language course platform for experts, coaches and small academies in Mexico who want to build and sell their own online courses without writing code. Its creators page calls it SaaS infrastructure "para crear, vender y automatizar tu academia online con inteligencia artificial" (to create, sell and automate your online academy with artificial intelligence), and adds "No somos un marketplace, somos tu marca" (we are not a marketplace, we are your brand). Prices are in Mexican pesos, payouts go through Stripe Connect to a Mexican bank account, and support works on central Mexico time. The same site also runs a public course catalog for learners, organized into 8 areas: strategy and business, tech and innovation, design and media, digital marketing, investment and fintech, high performance, biohacking and health, and academic leadership. A creator's courses appear in that public catalog, and the homepage says only experts with notable work experience and teaching ability publish there.
Building a course
The FAQ answers the first question most creators ask: no programming or design skills are needed, because "El constructor de cursos es completamente visual" (the course builder is completely visual). You write your content, add videos by link and create assessments without code. Courses are split into modules and lessons. Videos are not hosted on Plattform: they must live on YouTube, Vimeo or Loom, and Plattform embeds them in the lesson from the link. A creator can edit titles, content and prices and add lessons at any time after publishing, and enrolled students see the changes automatically. A course can be hibernated, hiding it from the public catalog while keeping the content, but only when it has no active students.
Assessments are multiple choice. Every course has a final exam and some also have module quizzes, the instructor sets the minimum passing percentage for each, and students get unlimited attempts. Quizzes can gate progress, so a student has to pass before new modules open or the diploma is issued. Any subject the creator knows can become a course, from business training and digital tools to professional skills, academic subjects and creative disciplines, as long as the content is original or properly licensed.
Certificates
Certificates are generated automatically once a student completes 100% of the lessons and passes every required assessment. The academies page says they come as PDF files with a QR code and a unique verification key, and that any employer or institution can scan the code to check the certificate on Plattform; the FAQ gives the verification code format as PLT-AAAA-XXXX. Students can view, download and print certificates from their dashboard.
The FAQ is clear about what they are worth: they are continuing-education records showing the student completed and passed the course, and "No constituyen títulos, grados académicos ni certificaciones con reconocimiento de validez oficial ante la Secretaría de Educación Pública" (they are not degrees, academic qualifications or certifications with official recognition from the Secretaría de Educación Pública). That matters for learners in Mexico who need an officially recognized credential.
Selling and getting paid
Creators connect their bank account through Stripe Connect, set their course prices within the ranges the platform allows, and Plattform automates the charge, the student's registration and access to the lessons. The money from each sale is deposited directly into the creator's bank account; the FAQ says Plattform holds no virtual wallet and retains no funds, and that payout timing depends on Stripe, which in Mexico usually transfers within 7 business days. Students pay by credit or debit card through Stripe, and the selling page also mentions local payment methods. All prices are in Mexican pesos with applicable taxes included, and buyers can request an invoice within the month of purchase.
The creators page promises "Control Total": the creator decides prices, promotions and who has access, and the academy runs "bajo tu propio dominio y marca" (under your own domain and brand). Plattform earns a commission on every sale on top of the monthly plan, and Stripe charges its own processing fee separately. Creators can issue discount codes with a percentage off, an expiry date and a maximum number of uses, and the selling page mentions fixed-amount discounts too. Refunds to students follow the platform's refund policy. The instructor dashboard shows each student's progress, last access, assessment results and certificates earned.
Plans and commissions
The creators page lists 3 monthly plans, priced in Mexican pesos:
- Starter, $199 MXN a month: up to 20 students, a course limit of up to 2, a 15% commission per sale, content hosting included, and no AI features. The creators page describes it as your own academy "bajo la red Plattform" (under the Plattform network).
- Growth, $299 MXN a month: up to 100 students, a course limit of up to 10, a 10% commission per sale, content hosting included, and no AI features.
- Scale, $999 MXN a month: unlimited courses and students, the full AI kit, "Sólo 7% comisión por venta" (only a 7% commission per sale), and what the page calls elite infrastructure.
The AI kit, which the page calls Copiloto IA, covers content generation, assessments and smart document uploads, and only the Scale plan includes it. Hitting a plan's student limit stops new enrollments until you upgrade; students already enrolled are not affected. Plans can be changed at any time from the dashboard, with the new plan applying from the next billing cycle. Anyone can register free and explore the platform, but publishing and selling require an active plan. If a creator cancels, their courses hibernate and disappear from the public catalog, students who already bought keep their access, and the courses come back when a plan is taken again.
For learners
Registration is free and needs only a name, email address and password; no card is requested until a purchase. Access to a purchased course is permanent while the account is active, with no expiry date, and courses work in any browser on a computer, tablet or phone. Content cannot be downloaded, and accounts cannot be shared. If an instructor withdraws a course, buyers keep access. An account with no purchases or logins for three continuous months is deleted, with an email warning fifteen days before, as the FAQ puts it.
Support, privacy and security
Support is by email at the support address, Monday to Friday from 9:00 to 18:00 central Mexico time, with a target of replying within 24 business hours; the creators page adds that a dedicated team monitors the infrastructure 24/7 and handles tickets and email. Passwords are stored encrypted with bcrypt, the company says it does not sell, rent or trade personal data, and users can exercise their ARCO data rights by following the procedure in its privacy notice. Card payments run on Stripe, which the FAQ notes is certified under the PCI-DSS standard, and Plattform never stores full card numbers.
Who it suits
Plattform fits a Mexican expert, coach or consultant who wants to package what they know into a few prerecorded courses and sell them in pesos with almost no setup, and a small academy or independent school that wants modules, graded quizzes and verifiable certificates in one place. The academies page also names training centers moving in-person programs online and foundations documenting material for a specific community. The entry price is low, but the commission matters: at 15% on Starter, a creator with steady sales should compare the Growth and Scale plans, where the cut drops to 10% and 7%. Creators who want to host their own video files on the platform, or learners who need certificates with official SEP recognition, will need something else for those parts.
