MONA E-Learning

Tap a star to rate

MONA E-Learning is a Vietnamese system for running your own course-selling website, built and sold by Mona Media, a web design and software company in Ho Chi Minh City. Websitehoctructuyen.com, whose name means online learning website, is its sales site, and the pitch is aimed at instructors and training centers who want to sell video courses on a site they own instead of a course marketplace: no percentage of each sale goes to a third party, and no marketplace can lock or take down the account. The homepage says the system is used by CEO Khánh Hùng at Khánh Hùng Academy (KHA) and by more than 200 instructors who have launched courses on it since 2024. Mona Media sells it as a monthly SaaS bundle, as a one-time source-code purchase, and as part of a wider family of education software.

What an instructor gets

Courses, exercises and exams

The system sells video courses, self-written materials, slide shows, PDF files and downloadable ebooks, and even physical learning tools for a given subject. For assessment, the homepage describes multiple-choice tests scored on the spot, built once and reused across courses, with a question bank that draws random questions by difficulty, field or topic. Question types include fill in the blank, single choice, drag and drop and multiple select, and a question can carry video, audio or images. Learners can also submit essays and exercises online, which a teacher or teaching assistant opens to grade, comment on and correct. Mock exams and practice tests run in the same system.

For live teaching, the site describes one-to-one tutoring and online classrooms with Zoom and Skype integrated as the video-call layer: webcam sharing, questions during class, lesson replays, two-way and group conversation, and control over the learners and the teaching screen. If a center brings in outside teachers, they can register on the platform and be paid by teaching hours. Mona Media says a fully custom live-streaming system needs a separate consultation.

Selling on autopilot

The homepage counts more than 100 marketing features beyond course hosting, built around one model: a free course as the lead magnet that turns a stranger into a paying learner. The site tracks how each visitor behaves, then acts on it.

  • Auto Email Remarketing sends emails from scenarios built on small conditions, such as how many videos a learner watched, for how long, or whether they checked the course price. Reports show views, email clicks, returns, view rates and unsubscribe rates, the system suggests changes when an email performs badly, and AI helps write and update the emails.
  • Special Offer runs more than 30 personalized promotion scenarios, including offers based on how much of the free course a learner watched, flash sales, coupon hunts, a lucky wheel, vouchers earned by completing tasks, and promotions reserved for affiliates.
  • Trial PRO videos open selected paid videos to free learners, optionally for a set period that switches off on its own. The page reports that this raised the closing rate by up to 36% on the Khánh Hùng site.
  • Lesson quality scoring uses built-in algorithms and real-time data to show which part of each free video needs changing.
  • Affiliate system supports multi-level affiliates, customer tiers with commission by level, promotions publishers can send to prospects, electronic partnership contracts, a dashboard for each publisher, several campaigns per publisher with progress reports, and an affiliate leaderboard.

The SaaS package also syncs with Meta and Google ad accounts for retargeting, and a learner classification module sorts learners into hot, indie and cold groups for automated sales follow-up.

Payments without gateway fees

Instead of a card gateway, Mona built its own software that reads bank transfer notifications directly, matches each payment to the right order and completes it automatically, so no payment gateway or e-wallet takes a percentage. The homepage says more than 200 instructors have used it without payment errors, and that Khánh Hùng Academy and Mona Academy run on it. Recent posts on the site cover VietQR payment gateways and QR codes that confirm tuition payments automatically.

Video protection

Protection against piracy is the strongest selling point. MONA DRM encrypts course videos with DRM technology from Google and Apple, which Mona says it resells as an official agent, so a downloaded file cannot be played without the key the browser supplies. On top of that come five or more kinds of identifying watermark rendered into the video: a moving ID code, a mark that flashes at a random spot every 20-30 seconds, a flickering barcode, a mark hidden in the video background, and one that appears at a set moment. An AI module watches PRO learners for signs of account sharing or screen recording, such as watching one video more than three times in a row, logging in from distant IP locations in a short time or logging in more than five times a day, and flags them for the admin, who decides whether to ban. A PRO account cannot be logged in on several devices at once, although the mobile app and the website can be used together. PRO learners can also be asked to verify their identity against Vietnam's national citizen ID portal, and Mona says the ID data is not stored on its servers.

The video server runs on dedicated resources with broad bandwidth, and the page states uptime of 99.99%.

Plans and prices

Mona Media prices everything in Vietnamese dong. The E-Learning Bundle is billed monthly and, according to the pricing section, charges only start when the course launches; setup before that is free. The table lists four tiers: Minimum at 5,000,000 đ a month, Basic, marked as recommended, at 8,000,000 đ a month (with 10,000,000 đ a month printed beside it), Pro at 14,000,000 đ and Pre at 18,000,000 đ. Across the four tiers, concurrent visitors rise from 30 to 90, 150 and 250, video storage from 70 GB to 100 GB, 300 GB and 500 GB, website storage from 25 GB to 40 GB, 80 GB and 120 GB, and monthly email sends from 1.5K to 9K, 15K and 24K. DRM video views are not included in Minimum and run 5k, 8k and 14k on the higher tiers. Depending on the tier, the table adds gifts such as a free .academy domain on the first payment, an Office 365 account, and an SSL certificate and proxy server in Vietnam to speed up loading.

The site design, home page content, email setup, bank-transfer confirmation and ad-account link cost a one-time 30,000,000 đ. A buyer who prefers to own the code can buy the MONA E-Learning source outright for 780 million đ, with build documentation and the Special Offer, Affiliate, email marketing and learner-classification systems, but without hosting, the video server, DRM, domain or email sending, and without the right to resell or modify the code. Video hosting is also sold separately, from 650,000 đ a month for 100GB, which the page equates to about 30 course videos and 25 simultaneous viewers. A mobile app for Android and iOS is an add-on. Every bundle includes a free course of 50+ lessons on running an e-learning business.

Support and the wider Mona ecosystem

Each customer gets a personal account manager. Contact runs through a hotline, Zalo Official and live chat, with a free 45-minute consultation that can be booked online, and the form promises a reply within 26 seconds. Mona Media says it has more than 11 years of experience designing e-learning websites, more than 40 course-selling website projects with nearly 2000 transactions a day, and Mona eLMS in use at more than 20 centers and schools. The same company sells LMS products for other buyers: MONA Educenter for education centers, MONA Skillhub for internal company training, MONA NextGen for preschools, MONA EduConnect for online tutoring, MONA GlobalEd for study-abroad agencies and MONA Edutub for video course sales.

Who it suits

MONA E-Learning fits a Vietnamese instructor or training center that already sells, or plans to sell, video courses at a scale where piracy and payment fees hurt: the DRM, watermarks, account-sharing alerts and bank-transfer matching are built for exactly that. The automated funnel of free course, tracked behavior, scripted emails and personalized offers suits a creator who wants to run sales without a marketing team.

It is not a low-cost starter tool. The cheapest bundle is 5,000,000 đ a month plus a 30,000,000 đ setup, the whole site and support are in Vietnamese, and payments rely on Vietnamese bank transfers. A first-time creator testing one small course, or one selling mainly to learners outside Vietnam, will find the bundle heavier than they need.
