Memberspot

Memberspot is a German learning platform for selling online courses and for training staff or customers in the same software. The homepage describes it as a place to build "deinen eigenen Lernbereich" (your own learning area) for online courses, employee training or a community, in your own branding and on your own domain. It names three main audiences: coaches, consultants and experts selling courses and coaching under their own brand, companies onboarding and certifying employees, and agencies building member areas for their clients. Memberspot GmbH is based in Ludwigsburg, Baden-Württemberg, according to the FAQ in the homepage's structured data, and the site says more than 5,000 companies and coaches use it.
Building courses
Courses are structured in chapters, subchapters and lessons by drag and drop. Lesson types cover video, audio, text, PDF, exams and SCORM, and a course can be cloned from a template. Content can be released or held back per level, and timed release opens lessons on a schedule and notify members. Progress shows directly in the editor.
Video does not need an outside service. Creators record and trim videos in the browser, host them on EU servers with no volume limit, set a poster and thumbnail per lesson, and create audio lessons that keep playing in the background on a phone. The FAQ data lists 4K video hosting on every plan. Videos stream with DRM encryption and no local download, and fingerprinting limits simultaneous logins to stop account sharing.
Exams use multiple choice questions with images and explanations, random sets drawn from question pools for each attempt, a pass mark and a maximum number of attempts. When members pass, they get certificates chosen from a gallery or designed in the editor and download them as PDFs. A submissions feature, marked beta, lets members hand in a file, video or text per lesson; tutors view PDFs, images and video in the browser and run several rounds of graded feedback, and submissions can be shared out among several tutors.
Portals are assembled from widgets, with several portals per audience or customer segment, each with its own logo, colors and fonts, plus free pages for an imprint, an About page or landing pages. Members are filtered and grouped, imported by the hundred via CSV, and reached by in-app, email and push notifications.
Community and live sessions
The community sits inside the learning area. Spaces can be set up for topics, cohorts or member groups and opened per course, plan or audience, with posts carrying images, video, files and links, plus reactions and comments. Moderators get rights per space, posts can go through a review queue, and private spaces take join requests. Gamification awards points for logins, posts, comments and reactions, with levels per space, badges awarded by hand or automatically at thresholds, and a leaderboard per space or across the community. Members can also message each other directly or in group chats for cohorts and teams.
For live teaching, creators link a Zoom account, embed live sessions in a course, set up webinars as lessons with a date and reminder, and sync attendance from Zoom back into Memberspot.
AI features
AI runs through the product. The Course Builder generates whole courses from a description, the Portal Builder assembles member portals from a prompt, and the Agent Builder helps set up custom agents. Creators describe an AI assistant and Memberspot builds it, drawing knowledge from courses, Google Drive, Notion and similar sources, with several assistants per course, space or audience. The site gives examples: an onboarding agent that guides new members through the first lessons, a support agent answering questions from courses and FAQs, a content agent drafting posts and FAQs, and a finance agent preparing revenue, invoices and customer status, with HubSpot, Notion, Drive or your own APIs as knowledge sources. AI also transcribes videos and makes them searchable, generates exam questions from course content, writes lesson and course summaries, and powers search across content and transcripts.
Selling, branding and integrations
Stripe is the primary payment provider, Digistore, CopeCart and Ablefy connect natively, and other providers attach through the API or Make and Zapier; after a purchase Memberspot opens the matching access automatically. The homepage promises "0 % Transaktionsgebühr" (0% transaction fee): "Wenn du dein Wissen verkaufst, verdient Memberspot nicht mit" (when you sell your knowledge, Memberspot takes no cut).
Branding covers logos for the school, portal and mobile app, a color palette, fonts and themes, and login pages and emails in your own design. The learning area runs on your own domain, for example lernen.deinemarke.de, and emails can be sent from addresses on that domain. Native iOS and Android apps are available, "bald auch mit deinem Logo und Namen" (soon with your own logo and name), or a PWA with your logo, with a native player that has playback speed and bookmarks.
For technical teams there are webhooks for events from learning progress to sign-ups, a full REST API, Zapier and Make connections, and an MCP server to control Memberspot from your own LLM. Purchased SCORM packages can be uploaded and embedded in a course.
For companies
The LMS page pitches Memberspot for digital onboarding and training. Employees log in without a password through SSO, with SAML and OIDC connecting to Azure AD, Okta or Google Workspace, and SCIM creates users automatically at onboarding. Admin roles give each person only the rights they need, learning progress reporting analyzes member behavior, pop-up surveys check progress, and the platform is multilingual for staff or customers abroad. Use cases on the homepage include an employee training platform with compliance exams, a searchable knowledge hub with AI assistants, and an intranet on your own domain. In one case study, Wired Heads says it onboarded more than 40 employees four times faster.
Plans, trial and support
The FAQ in the homepage's structured data lists three plans as of 2025: Grow from 99 euros a month (2,500 members, chat support), Scale from 199 euros (10,000 members, AI Studio with 10 agents) and Elite from 499 euros (50,000 members, AI Studio with 50 agents, SCORM support). Grow and Scale each cap the number of courses; Elite allows unlimited courses. Annual payment cuts the price by about 20 percent. The LMS page puts typical company pricing at around 200 to 400 euros. Contracts run monthly or yearly and can be canceled at the end of the term.
The free trial lasts 14 days, needs no credit card and simply expires without cancellation. Migration from an old platform is free: Memberspot moves courses, members and data. Support is in German by chat, with answers in under 10 minutes according to the homepage, and the course page lists 24/7 email and chat support. The homepage claims 99.9% uptime, published on a public status page, and shows ratings of 4.8 on Trustpilot and 4.6 on OMR Reviews.
Who it suits
Memberspot suits German-speaking coaches and consultants who want a branded course business with community, live sessions and AI assistants, and who prefer EU hosting and German support. It suits small and mid-sized companies and agencies that need onboarding with exams, certificates, SSO and an API. The entry plan's course and member limits mean a creator with a large audience will move up to Scale or Elite, and the branded native apps are still announced as coming soon.
