What Learnyst Is

Learnyst is a platform for teachers, coaching institutes and training businesses that want to sell courses under their own brand. Its about page describes it as "an easy-to-use platform that helps teachers and schools create, manage, and sell their courses online", founded in 2014 so that educators without technical skills could go digital with their own branded website and mobile app. The company behind it is Learnyst Insight Private Limited in Bangalore. The home page leads with security, calling Learnyst "The Most Secure LMS to Sell Courses Online from your own Brand", and says 12,000+ institutes use it.

The about page names four co-founders: Shankar Mahesh (CEO), Shivaranjan Kumar (CFO), Sridhar Dubbaka (CTO) and Hitesh Choudhary, an early customer who is now chief evangelist. It reports 51,000+ courses created on the platform. The audience is clear from the solutions menu, which is built around competitive exams and professional subjects: UPSC, CA, CAT, IIT, GATE, GMAT Focus, banking and coding, plus lifestyle and fitness. A separate corporate LMS page aims the same product at employee, customer and partner training.

Building and Delivering Courses

The course builder turns video, documents and other material into sellable courses, and the corporate page says teams can upload SCORM and TinCan packages as well as videos and PDFs. Courses can be released gradually through content dripping and organized into learning paths on higher plans. Batches or cohorts recreate a classroom, grouping learners who move through a course together to lift completion.

Live teaching is built in. Learnyst runs live classes and, on the corporate page, live sessions and cohorts inside the academy with scheduling, reminders and attendance tracking, without external tools; the plan comparison also lists live and Zoom support and a feature called Superlive. Programming teachers get a space where students write, run and debug code securely, and 1:1 coaching can be sold alongside courses.

Test preparation is a core use. Educators create and sell mock tests for major competitive exams, run test series and give learners test series analysis, and the Premium plan adds GMAT Focus features. Beyond courses, Learnyst sells digital products such as podcasts and eBooks, and a Telegram feature builds a central hub for learners. Communities give students a space to learn and stay motivated.

Certificates are automated: the corporate page promises "completion-based certificates to ensure regulatory compliance". Gamification on the Business plan adds streaks, experience points, a leaderboard and badges.

Content Protection

Security is the main thing Learnyst sells on. Its DRM toolkit prevents screenshots and screen recording, restricts parallel logins, limits the number of devices, monitors piracy, verifies learners by email and OTP and controls watch time. The comparison table pairs DRM content protection with website firewall security, and the Business plan adds a stronger "L1 DRM Content Protection" tier along with 1080p HD video playback and desktop app access.

Website, Apps and Marketing

Every academy gets a no-code branded website with blogs or a newsfeed and a custom domain. On mobile, the Professional plan uses a common Android and iOS app, Premium adds a branded Android app, and Business gets branded Android and iOS apps; branded apps need an annual commitment and are published in Google Play and the Apple App Store under Learnyst's developer account. Premium also offers offline downloads in the app and removes the "Powered by Learnyst" line for full white labeling.

The marketing hub covers landing pages, lead capture forms and calls to action, workflows and funnels, marketing campaigns and automation, email, push and WhatsApp messaging, coupons and referrals, and affiliates. Google Tag Manager and GA4 integrate on every plan, and learners can sign in with Google, GitHub or Apple.

The pricing page offers a free trial with no credit card required and a monthly or annual billing toggle. Prices are in US dollars per month, plus taxes:

Corporate Training

The corporate LMS page pitches Learnyst for training teams, customers, employees and partners. It adds branded, white-labeled portals and mobile apps, in-app messaging through newsfeeds, alerts and email, built-in assessments, analytics to prove training results, and 50+ integrations spanning HRMS, CRM, video and analytics tools. Learnyst's team helps with setup, data migration and onboarding.

Support and Customers

Support runs through email, chat and phone, with a ticket resolution SLA, a knowledge base and dedicated support portals. The home page reports a 9.1/10 customer satisfaction score. Testimonials come from test-prep and training founders; Gomathi Shankar of Scalpers Trading Academy credits "Learnyst’s supportive team and user-friendly UI" with 50x revenue growth, and CS Alok Gananath of Ekcel Academy says the platform helped him scale from 50 students to 5000.

Who It Suits

Learnyst fits coaching institutes and test-prep academies selling mock tests and video courses that want their paid content protected by DRM, device limits and watch-time control. Trading, coding and wellness educators who want their own website and app also fit. Corporate teams can use the SCORM, certificate and integration features. Solo creators should note that the entry plan is $149 a month and branded apps start on Premium.
