Kwiga

Tap a star to rate

Kwiga is a course platform for online schools, tutors, language teachers and companies training staff, built as a set of modules you switch on as needed: an LMS, webinars and online meetings, autowebinars, email marketing, a CRM, a quiz builder, a chatbot, cloud storage and a site builder. The site is owned and operated by TUTERIA VCC, with an address in Sofia, Bulgaria, and the About page names Denys Stepanchuk as co-founder and CEO. According to that page, the idea started in 2021, the platform and its first course launched in February 2022, the first webinar followed in March 2022, and by the end of 2022 over 500 projects were hosting courses and bootcamps with about 25,000 students enrolled. The homepage now reports "20M+ USD earned", 600,000+ users and 3000+ projects. The name, the About page explains, means "to learn" in one of the African languages.

Building a course

A course is built from lessons grouped into modules, and modules can be grouped into sections; lessons can also sit outside a module and carry unlimited attachments. Lessons take video, handouts, presentations, images and audio, and you can embed Canva presentations, Wordwall games and Google Forms so learners work with the material inside the lesson. Video can be uploaded to Kwiga or pulled from YouTube, Vimeo or Bunny CDN, and the pricing page adds VdoCipher to that list. Lessons can be released in sequence or on set dates, and checkpoints such as a quiz or a milestone assignment can gate progress.

The quiz builder is one of the more detailed parts of the product. The course page lists 29 question types, from single and multiple choice with open answers to matching, fill the gaps, sorting, Likert scales, NPS, word and sentence building, file upload, and audio or video replies. You can set a minimum score to move on, the number of retakes, whether students see correct answers, a timer for the whole quiz or one task, and opening and closing dates. Tests and assignments inside a course are free to run; quizzes used outside the LMS are billed per attempt after a monthly free allowance.

Teaching is shared with assistants and mentors. Students can be split into groups with an assistant assigned, mentors see only their own students, and they can grade homework, request revisions, approve or reject tasks, and reply in comments or audio messages. Progress shows as a summary and per student, with lesson and homework results. Gamification awards points for lessons, tests and milestones that the site says can be redeemed for purchases on Kwiga. A mobile app is under development, and the FAQ says the platform works on phones and tablets in the meantime.

Selling and running the school

Kwiga takes no commission on sales: the FAQ says "Kwiga does not take any commission", and every package lists a 0% transaction fee. You connect your own payment system, and the course page names PayPal, Stripe, Klarna, Allpay, PayU, Fondy, Przelewy24, MonoPay, LiqPay, CoinPayments, Interkassa, Portmone and PayProGlobal, with new payment systems added on request within two weeks. The package lists include subscriptions, installments, partial payments, payment schedules, partial access to courses, and pre-registration with a waiting list. Sales statistics break down by product and pricing plan.

Other named integrations are GetResponse for email, SmartSender for chatbots and Zoom for live sessions, and live lessons can also stream to YouTube. A public API is available, and packages include closed communities and groups in Telegram. You can connect your own domain or subdomain, brand the emails sent to students with your logo, fonts and colors, and turn on a White Label or "Remove Branding" option to hide Kwiga's name. The pricing page offers up to 10 websites per project at no charge, although the homepage still marks the site builder as under construction.

The email module covers segmented and standard campaigns, email chains and funnels, and automation built in a drag-and-drop workflow builder, with contact import and campaign reports. The CRM handles funnels, stages, tasks and requests, and its users who only need CRM access are not charged.

Language teachers and companies

A dedicated page targets language tutors. It reports 20,000+ people learning foreign languages on Kwiga LMS, 30+ schools and 1M+ USD earned by schools, and lists exercise types such as matching a word to an image, composing a phrase from words and making a word from letters, alongside Miro maps, Canva presentations and voice responses from students. Employee training is a separate product line, and one homepage testimonial comes from Olga Mikhalchuk, HR Generalist at Omni-Med, who writes: "We now receive invaluable support for candidate selection and employee training, saving us valuable time."

Pricing

Kwiga bills daily, and the pricing page promises "No hidden fees". The Pay as you Go! option starts "from $0.5 /day" with a $15 bonus, which the page says usually covers about 1 month. On that plan the LMS itself costs $15 a month once you create your first course, and active course participants cost from $0.003 each per month on a sliding scale: the table shows $3 for 100 active participants, $20 for 1,000, $65 for 10,000 and $300 for 100,000. An active participant is someone who viewed a course, completed assignments, logged in, or wrote in the chat or comments during the period. Extra team members are $5 a month each, a connected domain $3 a month, and an additional project $10 a month. Emails start at $0.0003 each, which the table shows as $1 for 1,000 and $300 for 1,000,000. Storage on Kwiga costs $0.1695 per GB per month and bandwidth $0.012 per GB, both free for video kept on YouTube, Vimeo, BunnyCdn or VdoCipher. Chatbot subscribers start at $0.0025 each per month.

For predictable bills there are three packages, shown at their annual-payment rates. Growth is $20 a month for 3 team members, 1,000 active members, 50,000 emails, 25 GB storage, 1 project and 1 connected domain. Pro is $70 a month for 10 team members, 5,000 active members, 200,000 emails and 100 GB. BigTuna is $196 a month for 25 team members, 20,000 active members, 500,000 emails, 1,000 GB, 5 projects and 5 connected domains, with customization for your brand. All three include unlimited courses and bootcamps, 24/7 customer service, free setup and transfer of materials, and the API. The FAQ says discounts apply when the LMS is paid for six months or a year.

Webinars have their own prices, with no limit on the number of webinars or viewers. Pay as you go costs $0.03 per participant, or you can buy a package by concurrent viewers per account: 150 for $39 a month, 400 for $59, 600 for $79, 1,000 for $139, 2,000 for $229 and 5,000 for $379, with $0.05 charged per viewer over the limit.

There is no fixed-length trial. The FAQ explains that each service comes with bonus funds and "The trial period itself is not limited in time", with bonuses usually lasting a month or more.

Support

Support runs through what Kwiga calls its Care Department, which the site says is available 24/7, through a Telegram chat, email, a help center and a knowledge base, and you can book a demo. The pricing FAQ says the customer care team will help work out the most favorable plan.

Who it suits

Kwiga fits a tutor or small school that wants to start without a monthly commitment and pay for actual activity, then move to a package once student numbers settle. Language teachers get a page of tools aimed at them, and schools with assistants or mentors get grouping, homework review and audio feedback built in. A producer running courses for several experts can keep separate projects and teams under one account.

The trade-off is that pay-as-you-go bills move with activity across several meters, so a busy month costs more, and the pricing page's live cost view is there to watch it. The mobile app and parts of the site builder are still in development.
