Kiwify is a platform for selling online courses and other digital products, built around one pricing idea: "You only pay if you sell." A creator hosts the course on Kiwify, sells it through Kiwify's checkout, and pays a fee on each sale instead of a monthly subscription. It runs two sites. The English site at kiwify.com is operated by Kiwify US, Inc., with an address in Miami, Florida. The Portuguese site at kiwify.com.br is operated by Kiwify Tecnologia e Serviços Ltda., based in Balneário Camboriú, and carries more detail about payments, payouts and creator rewards. Both pitch the same product to the same reader: someone who wants to "Turn your knowledge into an online course and build your business on the internet". The English homepage says you can create an account and start selling in 2 minutes.
The members area and the student side
Course delivery happens in what Kiwify calls a Premium Members Area. Its homepage describes "a customizable premium members area, featuring a cinematic layout, similar to your favorite streaming platform", so students browse a course the way they would browse a video service rather than scroll a plain list of lessons. The creator can customize it to match the course's visual identity. Hosting the course there is free, and Kiwify also hosts and plays your videos at no extra cost, so a creator does not need a separate video host.
Access is released immediately after purchase, and products are delivered by email or through the members area. Students also get a mobile app to watch the lessons.
Selling: checkout, upsells, subscriptions and partners
The selling tools are where Kiwify spends most of its words. A checkout builder lets the creator shape the payment page, and the FAQ confirms one-click upsells. Subscriptions are supported: the English FAQ says you can sell a subscription through credit card, and the Portuguese FAQ adds boleto and Pix as payment options for recurring products. Kiwify is not limited to recorded courses either. The FAQ says you can sell a coaching program or online training as a digital service. It does not accept physical products: "Only digital products, delivered via email or members area."
Two features let other people sell for you. The revenue partner system (co-produção on the Portuguese site) lets you "invite as many revenue partners as you want for your product and split the commission", which suits a course built by two or more people. The affiliate system lets you send an invitation link to affiliates, and the Portuguese site adds an affiliate marketplace (Marketplace de Afiliados) where you can list your product so affiliates can find it.
Payments run through KiwiPay, which the Portuguese site describes as "o processador de pagamentos próprio da Kiwify" (Kiwify's own payment processor). Kiwify's argument is that, without intermediaries who might decline sales, it can offer high approval rates, and it says "Alguns de nossos clientes chegam a ter taxa de aprovação de cartão de mais de 90%" (some of our customers reach a card approval rate of more than 90%).
There is also a network effect at checkout. Each time someone buys through Kiwify, they can save their card details to buy again at any Kiwify checkout with one click. The Portuguese site says Kiwify has millions of buyers already registered, and that one-click sales account for up to 25% of its customers' sales volume. For a creator, that means some buyers arrive at the checkout already able to pay without typing in a card.
Fees and payouts
The English pricing block reads "9.99% + $0.80" per sale; the Portuguese one reads "8,99% + R$2,49". Both sit under the same promise, "You only pay if you sell" ("Você só paga se vender" on the Portuguese site), and the English block adds that course hosting in the members area and video hosting cost nothing extra.
Payout timing is spelled out on the Portuguese site. Credit card sales are released in 15 days, boleto and Pix sales in 2 days, and a creator can request early release of card sales in 2 days instead. For affiliates, Pix sales are released 7 days after the purchase. The English site promises that you receive your sales within up to 15 days and says your first payout will be available 15 days after your request.
Support
Kiwify puts support near the top of both homepages: "specialized support 7 days a week, from 8 am to 9 pm, through live chat", with "a team that responds to you in just one minute" and "No robots or automation". Both sites also link a help center and a public status page and give a creator contact address; the Portuguese footer lists a separate address for buyers, and both FAQs point people who bought a product to a dedicated help route. The Portuguese footer also links channels for reporting prohibited products and plagiarism or piracy, which matters to a creator worried about copies of their course.
Rewards, events and the Kiwicast
The Portuguese site leans on status rewards for top sellers. Kiwicast is described as Kiwify's official podcast with millions of monthly views. A creator who reaches R$5 million in sales on the platform wins an all-expenses-paid trip for two to Balneário Camboriú to record an episode. At R$10 million, the creator receives an exclusive plaque and a 7-day all-expenses-paid trip to Dubai for themselves and a companion, with a Lamborghini ride, a yacht outing, fine restaurants and luxury hotels among the experiences listed. Kiwify also runs exclusive events for its customers; in 2024 it held the second edition of the Kiwify Festival, an event for more than 3000 content creators with invited speakers.
Who it suits
Kiwify suits an individual creator, coach or small team selling courses, mentoring and subscriptions who would rather pay per sale than carry a fixed monthly bill before the first sale. Free hosting for courses and videos, a streaming-style members area and a student app cover delivery, and co-production, affiliates and the one-click buyer network help with reach. Sellers who take Pix and boleto get the fullest set of payment options, with sales from those methods released in 2 days.
The trade-off is the per-sale model itself. At 9.99% + $0.80 on the English site, the fee grows with revenue, so a creator with high, steady sales should run the numbers against a flat-fee platform. Kiwify is also strictly for digital products, so anyone who wants to ship a printed workbook or kit with a course needs another way to sell it.
