What Fermion is
Fermion describes itself as an AI-ready cloud for modern ed-tech businesses: a managed learning management system, live calling infrastructure, video streaming and a coding sandbox, sold together to companies that run online academies. The About page says "Every software you would need to run your online education business is available as a service on Fermion Education cloud", and lists the parts as a managed LMS, live classes, coding labs and a sandbox SDK, video streaming, AI proctored contests and white-label branding. It is a platform for the business that teaches, not a catalog for learners, and the About page says "Hundreds of businesses trust Fermion" to run their online institutes, from coding bootcamps to data science training programs.
One note on ownership: the homepage footer carries the notice "Fermion is joining Testpress", with a link to the announcement. The product pages still invite visitors to schedule a demo or try the platform.
The LMS: building and running courses
The LMS page pitches "Your Complete Ed-Tech Platform in One Place". Courses are organized into modules and lessons through a drag-and-drop interface, and the homepage says you can "Launch courses and cohorts with AI-assisted authoring, grading, and progress tracking." Cohort management is built in: students are grouped into cohorts with dedicated schedules, assignments and progress tracking, and several courses and batches can be managed side by side. The longer feature list adds content dripping, public free previews, custom course item tags and course announcements.
Assessment goes further than a quiz builder. The homepage advertises "Assignments with automated grading, multiple formats, plagiarism detection", and the LMS page lists timed contests for assessments, with AI proctored contests named on the About page. Learners receive a certificate of completion, and the analytics side tracks performance with automated grading and detailed reports, while AI identifies struggling students and predicts which ones are at risk.
AI tools run through the authoring side. The LMS page says you can "Generate course outlines, lesson plans, and assessments with AI", and it lists an AI tutor for students and an AI website builder for landing pages. Engagement features include a built-in community where students share insights, ask questions and connect with peers, and gamification with points, badges, leaderboards and streak tracking, where students earn XP for finishing lessons and keeping streaks.
Selling, payments and marketing
Fermion is built for academies that sell. The LMS page says you can "Sell courses, bundles, live events, community access, and 1:1 mentorship calls", all from one catalog. Payments cover "180+ countries with 20+ payment methods", with built-in support for subscriptions, one-time purchases, installments and custom payment gateways. The feature list adds payment links and built-in EMI plans.
Marketing tools include a built-in affiliate program that tracks referrals and manages commissions, email marketing, WhatsApp marketing, and automated email and SMS messages for enrollments, course updates and reminders. Custom forms and surveys handle enrollment, applications and feedback.
Branding is complete white-label: "Your brand, your domain, your colors", with customization from logos to email templates. The homepage promises custom domains, color palettes and "no watermarks anywhere". For access control, the platform keeps detailed logs, tracks IP addresses and applies device restrictions to prevent account sharing.
Live classes and webinars
The live streaming product is aimed at online classes, one-to-one meetings and large webinars. The homepage promises "Unlimited meetings with unlimited concurrent viewers, from 1-1 calls to large scale webinars", and says recordings are processed in real time and available for playback right after the stream ends. The live streaming page lists auto recording with transcoding, AI transcripts, an integrated whiteboard, anonymous webinars where participant identities are hidden, and fine-grained permissions over who can use audio, video and screen sharing.
Engagement tools inside a session include live polls, emoji reactions, Q&A and real-time chat moderation, and dynamic stage controls let a host invite speakers on stage without interrupting the stream. Attendance is tracked with join times, duration and engagement, and AI-powered insights cover viewer behavior and sentiment. Sessions can be shared through private links with optional passwords and expiration dates. Delivery runs over HLS for large audiences or WebRTC for low latency, and a REST API lets you embed livestreams elsewhere with control over the player, stage and viewer experience. The page also lists DRM protected webinars and white-labeled external embeds.
Video hosting
For recorded content, Fermion offers what its homepage calls "Inexpensive video streaming solutions", with secure, ad-free delivery. Videos get adaptive streaming from 144p to 4K, offline downloads and enterprise-grade DRM, plus the option to add watermarks to deter piracy. The player itself carries no Fermion branding. AI dubbing translates videos into 50+ languages with transcripts, which the homepage pitches as a way to expand your audience.
The coding sandbox
The coding sandbox is the part of the offer aimed at programming schools and AI tools. It provides sandboxed container environments with shell access, a "0ms cold start" and support for 50+ languages, with JavaScript, Python, Java, C++, Rust and Go pre-configured with popular frameworks. The About page describes full Linux environments for coding labs. Storage persists, so a learner can return to the same sandbox "after a few minutes, or a few months". Developers drive it through an SDK, and the page shows code that connects to a sandbox, writes files, runs commands and later restores the same snippet.
The same infrastructure is pitched at AI coding agents: generated code runs in isolated containers with full network access, filesystem operations and shell commands, under hardware-level isolation, and a "Vibe Coding" mode gives AI-generated apps instant preview environments. One customer quote on the Customers page says instructors "can now create coding labs on their own using Fermion's AI agent."
Pricing, support and access
Fermion publishes no plan prices for the LMS, live streaming or video products; every product page routes to "Schedule a Demo". The one stated pricing model is for the sandbox, which uses per-minute billing: you pay only for actual compute time, with no idle costs. For teams that want to build their own front end, the About page says Fermion "can fully operate headless-ly over our vast set of APIs and implementation guides". Every page links to the documentation, a Discord community and a contact page.
Who Fermion suits
Fermion fits an established ed-tech business, a coding bootcamp or an online academy that teaches through live cohorts and wants coding labs, live classes, video and the storefront under one white-label brand. Programming schools get the most out of it, because the sandbox lets students write and run code inside the course rather than on a separate service. Academies selling in several countries benefit from the payment coverage, installments and AI dubbing.
It is less suited to a first-time creator who wants a simple course page and a published monthly price, since pricing starts with a sales conversation. Buyers should also read the Testpress announcement linked in the footer to understand how the product will be offered going forward.
