What aNewSpring is

aNewSpring is a learning platform for organizations that sell or deliver training to people outside their own walls. The company's LMS overview names who that means: training companies, CPD providers, professional education institutes and commercial academies. Its homepage headline is "The LMS built for training organisations", and the pitch is that one system replaces the three or four tools a training provider usually strings together, which the company lists as an authoring tool, an LMS, a webshop and something to manage certificates. In aNewSpring those become one product, with authoring, LMS, LXP and e-commerce in one place.

The argument behind it is specific. The homepage says a typical LMS "was built for internal employee training, not external training audiences at scale", so every new cohort means another round of manual workarounds: enrollments kept in spreadsheets, certificates made by hand, payment confirmations chased over email, and no catalog, checkout or self-enrollment for a learner who wants to sign up. aNewSpring is built around exactly those jobs. The company says it is trusted by more than 700 training organizations, and it runs its site in English at anewspring.com and in Dutch at anewspring.nl.

Building and delivering training

Authoring and course formats. The platform includes its own authoring tool, so courses are built inside the same system that delivers them. The company describes complete programs made up of blended, adaptive, hybrid or fully online courses. Blended learning combines online modules, live sessions and practical assignments into one coherent training program, so a provider can pair self-study with live sessions and hands-on work instead of running each in a separate tool.

Adaptive learning. aNewSpring offers personalized learning paths that adapt to each learner's individual progress, which the homepage frames as making sure "no one gets left behind". In practice the path a learner sees depends on how that learner is doing rather than being identical for the whole group.

MemoTrainer. The Dutch blended learning overview names a MemoTrainer™ tool that trains knowledge in a personalized way, so that, in the company's words, participants remember more and finish their training faster. The company presents it as its way to improve knowledge retention, a separate tool from the course content itself.

Product training. Besides professional education, the homepage names product training as a use case: giving a company's own customers the product knowledge they need to succeed, with structured, scalable training. That makes the platform relevant to a business that teaches its customers, not only to a training firm.

Learner experience. Because the platform pairs an LXP with the LMS, the learner works inside a learning environment rather than a bare course list. The company's FAQ describes an LXP as adding personalization, social learning and a more consumer-style learner experience on top of course delivery. Learners reach their training through published catalogs, and the company lists content libraries and single sign-on (SSO) among the platform's features.

Selling, enrollment and administration

Catalog, checkout and self-enrollment. The feature list in the company's LMS overview starts with a built-in catalog, checkout and self-enrollment for selling courses directly. A provider publishes its training in catalogs, learners sign themselves up and pay, and the platform takes care of the enrollment. The Dutch overview lists integrations with payment providers among the main features.

Automation. "Enrolments, payments, certificates and communications are all handled automatically by the platform," the homepage says, so a training team can stay focused on training rather than logistics. Certificates are part of that automation instead of a document someone prepares by hand for each learner, and learner communications run from the same place.

Reusable, white-label programs. aNewSpring is pitched at delivering training at scale. Programs are built once and reused, and they can be offered to any audience on a paid, free or subscription basis without being rebuilt each time. The same content can be deployed to different clients under different brands. The company's FAQ says white-labeling lets a provider deliver its learning environment under its own brand or a client's brand, with custom domains, logos and color schemes. For a provider that runs the same program for several corporate clients, this is the feature the platform is built around: each client sees its own branded environment, while the provider maintains one set of content.

Reporting. The Dutch overview lists extensive custom reporting among the platform's features. Together with automated enrollments and SSO, that covers the administrative side a business customer asks about: who is enrolled, who has finished, and how learners get in without another password.

Services, support and community

aNewSpring sells more than software. Its Training Optimisation service puts the company's L&D specialists, described as didactic specialists, alongside a customer after implementation "to measure what is working, fix what is not, and keep your programmes improving over time". The Dutch overview adds that its Training Improvement Engineers specialize in assessing whether online or blended learning is the right answer before anything is built, which means starting with simple solutions, understanding the problem and considering the design before the content.

Customers get support from a Customer Success Manager, and the company lists support by email and phone. Its feature list also mentions access to a community of "leerpioneers" (learning pioneers), and the company runs a Training Improvement Hub, a newsletter called the Love to Learn Letter, events and published release notes. A customer quote on the homepage from Karin de Galan, owner of School for Training, says the platform is user-friendly and adds: "when I need help, I receive a response from the helpdesk within 24 hours."

Customer stories and recognition

The company points to two customer stories. Amelior, which the Dutch overview calls an established training provider, used aNewSpring to implement blended learning and, according to the company, cut its classroom training days by 30%. Sales Academy used the platform to set up a hybrid sales training program. The company also says Talented Learning includes aNewSpring in its LMS Awards among professional education LMS solutions.

Pricing and trial

aNewSpring publishes a starting price. Its LMS overview says there is a free trial for individual trainers, after which "pricing starts at €18 per learner per year (no annual fee)". The Dutch version gives the same figure, €18 per participant per year with no annual contribution. For training organizations the company offers custom plans on request, and its FAQ says aNewSpring's custom pricing is based on the number of learners, the features required and the contract length.

So the published price is per learner per year, with no annual fee on top for that entry option. The trial is aimed at individual trainers; a training company with a larger program goes through a demo, and "Book a demo" is the main call to action across the site.

Who it suits

aNewSpring fits a training company, CPD provider, professional education institute or commercial academy that sells programs to external learners and is tired of combining a webshop, an LMS and a certificate process by hand. It is strongest where a provider runs the same program for several clients and wants each under its own brand, and where courses mix online modules with live sessions and practical assignments. A business that trains its own customers on a product is the other clear fit, given the product training use case. An individual trainer can start with the free trial and the per-learner price before moving to a custom plan as the business grows.

It is a less natural fit for a company training only its own staff, since aNewSpring describes itself as built for external audiences rather than internal employee training. A solo creator who wants a simple storefront for one recorded course may also find a platform built around multi-part programs, client branding and implementation services more than they need. For providers who want both the software and help designing effective blended programs, the combination of platform and Training Optimisation is the main reason to look at it.
