What Textile Courses Online is
Textile Courses Online is a course marketplace for a single industry: textiles. Instructors publish courses on spinning, weaving, knitting, processing, garment testing, merchandising and textile business, and learners buy them one at a time. The home page calls it the "World's Largest Online Textile Education Platform" and invites visitors to study any textile topic "Anytime. Anywhere." The About page describes the site as "a meeting place for Instructors and Students alike", focused on textile courses that are "simple, affordable and most important convenient to attend for everyone", and the home page adds that it is "the first and only platform providing online courses specifically in the textile industry." Those are the company's own claims, and the home page counts "145 Online courses".
The venture is co-founded and managed by Minesh Adhvaryu of Kushal Textile Institute in Surat, which the About page calls "A leading institute in short-term courses for textile entrepreneurs", together with Sharad Tandon of Standon Consulting in Mumbai, described there as one of the well-known consultants in the textile industry. The About page credits the two with more than 70 years of combined experience in teaching and coaching. That background shows in the catalog, which reads like a training program for people who already work in mills, knitting units, testing labs and garment businesses.
What the catalog covers
Courses are filed under Production (with Spinning, POY, Weaving, Knitting, and Dyeing & Processing), Business Management, Digital Technologies, Technical (Quality Control and Machinery), Fashion Designing (Garmenting and Merchandising), Yarns & Fabrics, Workshops, Live Sessions, Competitive Exams, and Industrial Training (Operational Videos and Maintenance). The About page says the range runs from short-term to long-term courses, "from core technical to fashion to management".
On the production side the site lists a paid Brief Introduction to Spinning Process, described as a step-by-step look at converting fiber into yarn, Basics of Knitting (₹399), a free Basic of Weft Knitting Technology course, an Introduction to Wool course that follows the fiber to fabric and carpet (₹3,500), a free Man Made Fibre Series, a free Yarn Faults course, Yarn Dyed Fabric Production (₹1,499), and Basic Fabric Structures & Analysis (₹1,099), which teaches woven fabric structure and how to analyze a weave from a swatch. Free introductions also cover printing of textiles (color, printing methods and printing styles), waterless textile processing and technical textiles.
Knitwear gets unusually specific treatment, with free courses on fully fashioned garments, the geometry of a saddle shoulder fully fashioned sweater, and neck tape measurement for fully fashioned sweaters. Merchandising starts with a free Introduction of Merchandising that promises "all the key points, skills, process flow & scope of Merchandising."
Garment testing is the newest strand. The latest courses form a series of short video courses at ₹500 each: heavy metals in garment accessories, special tests for technical textiles, a common testing protocol for woven, knitted and suede apparel, general tests, care labels and fiber identification, flammability testing, test management and data analysis, and the management of restricted substances for RSL compliance, which the site ties to meeting international safety compliance. A Performance and Sustainability course on garment testing sells for ₹499.
Mill operations and maintenance are covered too. Sharad Tandon teaches a Sulzer revision training course (₹500) on preventive maintenance of Sulzer projectile picking parts, Vilas Gharat teaches a free SMED course on quick style change, Dr Arun M. Thakare teaches a Fabric Inspection course (₹1,499), and a 5-S System course taught in Hindi (₹1,199) covers workplace organization for less waste and better productivity.
For managers and owners, Rajiv Misra offers a free preview course on why a company needs HR processes, followed by a full course on organization structure, grades and bands, and policies at ₹17,000. A Retail Management course is taught through live interactive sessions at ₹18,000, and Introduction to Textile Industry, billed as a "Textile Business owners course for Non Textile entrepreneurs", costs ₹85,000.
How a course works
Most courses are recorded video; the testing courses describe themselves as video courses, and the home page promises "Expert instruction", "Lifetime access" and "Learn on your schedule". Live teaching sits alongside them: the site has a Live Sessions category, and the Retail Management course is taught through live interactive sessions.
Courses are short and focused. Each course card shows the instructor, the number of lessons, the total running time, the language, the level, the price and the star rating with its number of ratings. The Sulzer course has 2 lessons and runs 00:35:00 hours in all, Fabric Inspection has 4 lessons and 00:47:15 hours, the free SMED course is a single lesson of 00:12:42, the HR preview has 3 lessons and 00:10:35, the full HR course 7 lessons and 00:35:36, and Yarn Dyed Fabric Production 3 lessons and 01:09:38.
The catalog can be filtered by category, by price (free or paid), by level (Beginner, Intermediate or Advanced), by language (English, Gujarati, Hindi or Marathi) and by rating. Learners can rate a course and write a public review, and those ratings appear on the course cards.
Prices and payment
Every course is sold on its own, priced in rupees, and goes into a cart. Checkout runs through the RazorPay payment gateway. The courses shown on the home and courses pages range from free to ₹85,000, and they fall into clear bands: a large set of free introductions, technical short courses up to ₹3,500, the ₹500 testing series, and business and management programs between ₹17,000 and ₹85,000. The free HR preview ahead of the paid HR course shows how instructors can use a free course to introduce a paid one. The site does not say whether finishing a course earns a certificate.
Teaching on Textile Courses Online
The About page speaks directly to would-be instructors. It calls the platform "An opportunity for those interested in imparting teaching but unable to do so due to physical or other constraints", and "a chance to leave behind a legacy and at the same time get a regular income without moving out of the comfort of your home." For institutions, it says the site "offers an opportunity to expand their reach and get more revenue without incurring additional capital expenditure." The instructors visible in the catalog are practitioners, including one of the co-founders.
The site does not state what share of a sale an instructor keeps or how payouts are made. The About page gives a contact email and direct phone numbers for both co-founders, which is the route for an expert or institute that wants to publish.
Who it suits
Textile Courses Online suits people who already work in the industry and need a specific skill quickly: a knitting technician working on fully fashioned sweaters, a quality or testing professional learning a garment test protocol, a mill engineer maintaining Sulzer looms, a supervisor bringing 5-S or SMED to a shop floor, or a merchandiser starting out. Students of textile technology will find free basics on knitting, fibers and fabric structure, and the site runs a Competitive Exams category. Hindi, Gujarati and Marathi speakers can filter for courses in their language. Entrepreneurs coming from outside textiles have a dedicated, if expensive, business course.
It also suits textile trainers and institutes that want to sell their courses online without building their own site. The catalog is narrow by design, so anyone outside textile work will find little here, and the shortest courses are single lessons rather than full programs.
