What it is
SkillLane is a Thai-language online learning platform run by SkillLane Technology Public Company Limited. Its site title describes it as online courses to study anywhere, any time, taught by Thai experts ("คอร์สเรียนออนไลน์ ทุกที่ทุกเวลา โดยผู้เชี่ยวชาญของไทย"), and the homepage says learners can study anywhere, any time across more than 5100 courses. The business page goes further and calls its offer Thailand's number one quality online courses in its page title.
The main menu leads to the full course catalog, a TUXSA section, SkillLaneCPD for professionals who must log training hours, and a "for organizations" section (SkillLane for Business). A "สอนกับเรา" (teach with us) link sits in the same menu for instructors who want to publish on the marketplace. That makes SkillLane three things at once: a course marketplace for individual learners, a compliance training service for regulated professions, and a corporate learning provider with its own LMS.
The course catalog
The "all courses" page lets learners filter by category, by what they get, and by price. The categories are:
- Workshops
- Finance and investment
- Exam preparation
- Business
- Languages
- Self-development
- Office productivity
- Software development
- AI and data
- Marketing
- Real estate
- Information technology
- Photography, graphics and design
- Mother, child and family
- Health and beauty
- Cooking
- Music
- Lifestyle
The "what you get" filter separates courses that come with a certificate (ประกาศนียบัตร), courses that award a learning path certificate, courses with quizzes, and courses with downloadable files. Courses can also be sorted from newest to oldest.
The price filter has four bands: free, 1 to 1,000 baht, 1,001 to 3,000 baht, and more than 3,000 baht. So the catalog mixes free courses with paid ones, and a learner can stay inside a budget without opening each course page.
TUXSA with Thammasat University
TUXSA is the platform's university strand. The business page describes it as 100% online programs developed together with Thammasat University (มหาวิทยาลัยธรรมศาสตร์), and the homepage promotes it with the line that future skills are open for study today. The business page lists Applied Data Science among the example courses drawn from these Thammasat programs. For a learner who wants a structured university program rather than a short skills course, this is the part of SkillLane to look at.
SkillLaneCPD for regulated professions
SkillLaneCPD is an online training system for collecting professional training hours. The homepage pitches it to insurance intermediaries and investment advisors, and the business page widens the list to insurance intermediaries, investment advisors, investment planners, bookkeepers and account auditing professionals. It covers three families of required courses:
- life and non-life insurance intermediary courses under the OIC (คปภ.)
- accounting professional training under TFAC
- securities business professional courses under TSI
The business page states that the compulsory courses are certified by OIC and TSI ("รับรองหลักสูตรโดย OIC และ TSI"), and learners who pass receive an e-certificate. Training runs in weekly rounds, with a footnote that the rounds follow the schedule the training center has been approved by the OIC to run, and learners can take them anywhere, any time. It works on a computer, tablet or smartphone without installing extra software.
SkillLane for Business
The business arm describes itself as a partner in people development aligned with company strategy. It frames its offer around five things an organization might want: to upskill and reskill employees whose needs differ, to run online training that counts toward the headcount it submits to the Department of Skill Development (DSD), to have a complete system for managing learning, to get help designing courses that fit the organization, and to have employees collect CPD training hours.
Its content comes in several packaged formats under "On-Demand Courses, Multi Format", which lets an organization pick the learning format that suits it:
- SkillLane Plus: online courses selected for employees at every level and covering every competency.
- Book Summary: online courses that condense books by world-famous authors, more than 130 of them.
- TUXSA: the online programs developed with Thammasat University.
- Onward: courses built from the skills employees need at each level in each line of work, delivered as just-in-time learning. The Onward Academy sample describes "bite-sized" courses that are short, easy to understand, usable right away and matched to real work situations, at 5 minutes per chapter.
- Virtual Seminar: live online classes with gurus and leading speakers on current, in-depth topics.
Recommended course tracks on the page are Leadership, Functional, Business, DATA & AI and Book Summaries. The page says more than 350 leading lecturers and national experts teach with SkillLane.
DSD training
For companies reporting training to the Department of Skill Development, SkillLane selects online courses that meet DSD requirements for staff at every level. Upskilling courses for existing workers start at 6 hours, include pre-tests and post-tests, and cover the DSD's 4 course levels, 5 course groups and 23 occupational fields.
LMS, consulting and measurement
The Learning Management System is described as a system that helps set one standard for everyone in the organization. Alongside it, the Training and Consulting Service designs company-specific training so employees put it into real use. Consulting starts by analyzing the organization's needs and then designs courses and people development plans in line with business strategy. Training can be delivered online, onsite or hybrid, results are measured with follow-up for long-term development, and an expert and facilitator team runs the sessions. The "Why SkillLane for Business" section describes Integrated Learning Solutions that connect learning to business strategy, from onboarding through skills development to measurable results. The contact form at the bottom invites organizations to ask for details and request a trial.
Who it suits
SkillLane suits Thai-speaking learners who want a large catalog of self-paced courses from Thai instructors, with free options and clear price bands, and who care about getting a certificate or downloadable materials. Insurance, investment and accounting professionals who need to log required training hours get a dedicated system with weekly rounds and e-certificates. Learners aiming higher can look at the TUXSA programs built with Thammasat University. Instructors who teach in Thai can apply through "teach with us" to reach the marketplace's audience.
For HR and L&D teams in Thai companies, SkillLane for Business combines a content library, an LMS, consulting and DSD-ready training in one supplier. The main limit is language: the site and catalog are in Thai, so it is a strong fit for organizations and learners working in Thai and a poor one for anyone who needs English courses. Business pricing is arranged through the contact form rather than published.
