Aprendum

Tap a star to rate

Aprendum is a Spanish-language online course marketplace. It sells self-paced courses that partner training centers deliver on their own e-learning platforms, and on many of them the buyer chooses at checkout between the plain course and a version with a university certificate. Its page title promises "Más de 1500 cursos con certificado" (more than 1,500 courses with a certificate). The main site at aprendum.com prices in euros, and the company runs country versions at aprendum.cl, priced in Chilean pesos, and aprendum.com.co, priced in Colombian pesos; the footer of those two sites also links country versions for Argentina, Mexico, Peru and Ecuador.

The reader here is a learner looking for a job-related qualification, a short professional course or a university-branded certificate at a low price. Aprendum is the storefront; each course page names the center that runs the course, and the two that appear across the course pages are Lecciona and Educalink Universitas.

The catalog

The catalog is broad and practical. Subject areas on the home page include health, IT, languages, business administration, sport and leisure, education, hospitality and tourism, marketing and communication, job access, finance, beauty and fashion, sales, the environment and a large "other topics" group. Separate sections cover featured offers, top-rated courses, new courses, master's and postgraduate programs, and courses that carry ECTS credits.

The courses on the home page give a fair picture of the mix. Among the most popular are an AI literacy course, a drinking-water handler course, an Amadeus course, a family constellations therapist course, basic taxation (IRPF, IVA and IS), an early childhood education assistant course, SAP FI S/4 HANA finance, professional building cleaning, street cleaning, iridology, school canteen coordination, cooking and gastronomy, electronics maintenance and repair, goods storage and transport, and automotive mechanics. The university section adds clinical and health psychology, Spanish as a foreign language, therapeutic and behavioral psychology, child and youth psychology, equine therapy, early childhood education, interpreting non-verbal language, the psychology of advertising and social and communication skills. Recent additions include small appliance repair, advanced Excel 2019, hospital cleaning and cleaning with chemical products.

Each course page sets out a description, who the course is for, the full syllabus by unit and a short presentation video. The chemical cleaning products course, for example, is aimed at cleaning, maintenance, general services and hospitality staff, and runs through product classification and labeling, disinfection, rules of use, cleaning systems and chemical risk prevention. The waste and chemical products course is pitched at chemical industry workers, laboratory staff, health sector staff and waste managers.

How a course works

Courses from Lecciona follow one pattern. The course pages list access to the teletraining platform 24 hours a day, seven days a week, online tutoring during the course, and material in PDF with examples, practical exercises and quizzes. The logistics planning course on the Chilean site adds that it works on any operating system and mobile device. On finishing, the learner receives a certificate from the Lecciona center, which the chemical products page describes as verifiable. The center's own blurb on each page says it offers "un servicio al cliente cercano, rápido y eficaz" (close, fast and effective customer service) and that its teletraining platform "cumple con los principales estándares del mercado" (meets the main market standards).

Course lengths are given in hours, with a time limit to finish. The chemical cleaning products course is 50 hours with two months to complete it, the waste and chemical products course 75 hours with three months, logistics planning 50 hours with three months, and the equine therapy university course 150 hours with 12 months.

Buying follows the same steps on every Lecciona course. At checkout Aprendum takes the learner's details for registration with the center, access credentials arrive by email within 72 working hours, and the time limit runs from the day they arrive. The conditions are blunt about refunds: "No se admiten devoluciones una vez recibidas las claves de acceso" (no refunds once the access credentials have been received). Each course page carries a callback button, "¿Necesitas ayuda? Te llamamos ahora!" (need help? we'll call you now), and some show a coupon that comes with the purchase. The account area keeps orders, coupons and preferences together.

University certificates and ECTS

The university option is what sets Aprendum apart. On courses sold "con o sin Titulación Universitaria" (with or without a university qualification), choosing the university version adds a certificate issued by UIP University, an international certificate with ECTS validation and an academic recommendation letter. The chemical cleaning products course adds 2 ECTS and must take at least one week; the waste and chemical products course adds 3 ECTS and must take at least two weeks. UIP certificates are issued seven days after the course ends and sent digitally, and the pages note that "En función de la Universidad, la convalidación de los créditos ECTS normalmente se corresponde con 25 horas lectivas" (depending on the university, ECTS recognition normally corresponds to 25 teaching hours).

The course pages describe UIP, the Universitary Institute for Progress, as a private university in the United States based in Wyoming, operating as a private university center "validado por QAHE y la Universidad de California FCE" (validated by QAHE and the University of California FCE). They add that UIP degrees carry US academic credits and that European students receive a second international certificate to back the ECTS credits in Europe.

The university courses managed by Educalink Universitas work a little differently. The equine therapy course leads to a "Curso Universitario de Especialización en Equinoterapia", a digital certificate issued by UIP. The price includes virtual campus access, enrollment and issue of the certificate, the full syllabus and downloadable material from the first day, tutoring every day of the year, a study coach for career advice, a virtual library and the possibility of an internship or training agreement with companies at the end. Access to the content continues after the course is finished. The page lists what is not included: a Hague apostille or notarial steps, sworn translations, postal delivery and a physical diploma. After buying, the learner emails Educalink to activate the course, the center makes contact within 72 working hours, and no refunds are given once the learner is registered on the platform.

Prices

Prices are shown on every course, nearly always as a discount from a higher list price. On aprendum.com the chemical cleaning products course costs 79 euros without and 99 euros with the university certificate, and the waste and chemical products course 99 or 129 euros. The same two courses cost CLP 70,800 or CLP 88,700 and CLP 88,700 or CLP 115,500 on the Chilean site, and the waste course costs COP 421,000 or COP 549,000 on the Colombian one. Most university courses on the home page sell for 89 euros instead of 189 euros, marked down 52 percent, and the equine therapy course for 89 euros instead of 199 euros (CLP 89,900 instead of CLP 178,100, or COP 430,000 instead of COP 846,000). Elsewhere the AI literacy course drops from 69 to 39 euros, SAP FI S/4 HANA finance from 229 to 189 euros, and cooking and gastronomy from 199 to 69 euros, a 65 percent cut. Many listings carry a "Plazas limitadas" (limited places) label.

Who it suits

Aprendum suits Spanish-speaking adults who want an inexpensive, self-paced course tied to a job, such as cleaning and chemical safety, logistics, administration, early education, psychology or hospitality, with a certificate at the end and a tutor available during the course. Learners who want ECTS credits or a university-branded certificate can add the UIP option for a modest extra cost, provided they check how their own university or employer treats it, as the pages themselves say recognition depends on the university.

It is less suited to someone who wants a live class or an interactive cohort, since the courses are self-paced with tutoring support, and buyers should pick carefully before paying because the refund window closes the moment access credentials arrive. The footer also links an affiliate program and a page for businesses that want to promote themselves on the marketplace.
