What the product is
Airklass (에어클래스) is a Korean-language online class marketplace. Learners browse and buy video classes, and the instructors who supply them, called masters (마스터), publish their courses on the platform and share in the sales. The service is run by Quriously, Inc. (주식회사 큐리어슬리), whose footer gives an address in Seoul (서울 서초구), and the copyright line runs from 2012 to 2026. The footer also lists a registration as a remote lifelong education facility (원격평생교육시설신고 제571호). The site's tagline is "새로운 배움의 시작" (the start of new learning), and its support page sums up the range as "자격증부터 외국어, 취미 클래스까지" (from certifications to foreign languages and hobby classes). The entry serves two readers: an instructor who wants a place to sell recorded classes without building a site, and a learner looking for exam prep, investing or language test classes in Korean.
What learners get
The homepage says "17,000개 클래스가 기다리고 있어요" (17,000 classes are waiting for you). The featured classes on the homepage show where the catalog leans: stock investing, with one class publishing stock picks and strategy based on financial statements three times a week and another offering a guide to US stocks (미국주식) from an instructor with 20 years of experience; professional engineer (기술사) exam lectures from an exam academy, advertised with 12-month interest-free installments and lecture downloads; prep for the civil service exam for driver positions (운전직); and language tests, with an OPIc class promising to be done in two months and a TEPS class pitched at three weeks. One investing class advertises real-time live sessions four times a day, so not everything is prerecorded.
Search and browse let learners filter by master, by rating, and by length, with an option for classes of 30 hours or more. Logged-in learners get a course list (수강목록) and recommended classes, and the homepage also carries a magazine (매거진) section. A homepage banner invites learners to use a 2026 lifelong education voucher (평생교육이용권) on Airklass.
Playback is built for convenience. The instructor page says classes play on every digital device, listing PC, tablet PC, smartphone and TV, and in every web browser, naming Edge, Chrome, Safari and Firefox (엣지, 크롬, 사파리, 파이어폭스), with immediate playback and no separate program to install. The page explains that classes play without ActiveX or other installs, so learners can study "언제 어디서나" (anytime, anywhere) on a phone or tablet. There is also a mobile app, downloaded by scanning a QR code; its description promises that learners can start a class right away and watch offline (오프라인 시청), which it calls more convenient than the web.
Classes can be shared on social media, and gift codes can be issued; the footer has a code redemption (코드 교환) page for redeeming them. Help runs through a support page with frequently asked questions, a guide to using Airklass, chat inquiries (채팅으로 문의하기) and notices, plus an Instagram account and a Naver Blog. For organizations, the menu has a group education (단체 교육) section beside class creation, categories and events.
What instructors get
The create-course page is a recruiting pitch for masters, and it is aimed at beginners: "온라인 클래스, 처음이어도 괜찮아요" (it is fine if online classes are new to you), with the promise that everything from opening a class to selling it is easy to start. Opening a class costs nothing (비용 없이 클래스 개설하기), and applying to become a master is free as well. The instructor page opens by asking whether building and managing your own video lecture site is hard (구축하고 관리하기 참 어렵죠?), and presents Airklass as the ready-made alternative for selling video lectures.
The instructor page answers the cost question directly. Setup and maintenance, unlimited uploads and unlimited traffic are "모두 0원!" (all 0 won). The create-course page adds that Airklass will upload large lecture video files for the instructor free of charge, and that the Airklass Studio (에어클래스 스튜디오) can handle lecture recording through production at a low price, so an instructor without equipment can still produce a course. The page sums this up as recording to registration in one place (강의 촬영부터 등록까지 에어클래스에서 한번에).
Inside a class, the master manages the tools directly: discount codes, the class introduction, announcements, a resource room (자료실) and Q&A. For tracking sales, the page promises transparent sales records, with payment history visible day by day (일 단위 결제 내역) and statistics such as page views and playback for each class. A master can also sell related products alongside a class, such as textbooks, tools or supplies the learner needs, which suits classes where materials matter.
Marketing support goes beyond the tools. The instructor page lists social media sharing and gift code issuance as marketing features, mentions joint marketing with Airklass (에어클래스와 공동 마케팅) as a way to raise sales, argues that sales also rise once the old obstacles to buying a video lecture, such as videos that would not play or software that had to be installed first, are gone, and says that depending on sales volume, Airklass may provide a standalone web page and a smartphone app free of charge (매출 규모에따라 단독 웹페이지 및 스마트폰 앱 무상 지원 가능). Materials for prospective masters (마스터용 소개 자료) are linked in the footer, and the create-course page showcases masters already active on the platform.
Revenue share and scale
The revenue terms are stated plainly. The instructor page says "동영상 강의 순판매액의 60%를 강의 제공자 (마스터) 에게 지급합니다" (Airklass pays 60% of net video lecture sales to the instructor), and it defines net sales (순판매액) as total sales minus taxes, public charges and payment fees (총판매액에서 제세공과금 및 결제수수료 등을 차감한 금액). The create-course page frames this under the headline "업계 최저 수수료로 우리 함께 성장해요" (let us grow together with the industry's lowest fees). Because there are no setup, hosting or traffic charges, the revenue share is the cost of selling on the platform as the pages describe it.
On scale, the instructor page says "이미 6,052명의 마스터가 에어클래스와 함께하고 있습니다" (6,052 masters are already with Airklass), and the homepage puts the catalog at 17,000 classes.
Who it suits
Airklass suits Korean-speaking instructors who already teach a subject people pay to pass or master, such as an exam, a certification, investing or a language test, and who want to sell recorded classes without paying for a site, hosting or bandwidth. The Studio helps instructors who lack recording gear, and the related-products feature fits teachers whose classes need textbooks, tools or supplies. Learners preparing for certification and civil service exams, language tests or investing will find the bulk of the featured catalog aimed at them, with classes that play on a phone, tablet, PC or TV and offline in the app.
The main caveat is reach: the site is written entirely in Korean, so it is built for instructors and learners who read Korean. Instructors comparing it with selling from their own site should set the 60% share against the hosting, bandwidth and marketing Airklass covers, and against the free standalone page and app it may offer masters with larger sales.
