What Ziyyara is

Ziyyara is a live one-to-one online tuition service for school students. The company, Ziyyara Edutech Pvt. Ltd, describes itself as "a live 1-on-1 online tutoring platform" for "Grade 1-12 for CBSE, IGCSE, Cambridge, IB & other Boards", and elsewhere on the homepage it extends the range to "Grade K to 12, A, AS, O Level". The reader it serves is a parent looking for a private tutor for a child, or an older student booking help in a hard subject, who wants lessons that follow the child's own school board. Every class is one student with one tutor; the homepage lists "1 Student : 1 Tutor" first among its selling points, followed by live interaction, an affordable price, freedom to ask questions, flexibility and learning from home.

Boards, classes and subjects

Ziyyara organizes its tuition around the school system a child follows. The boards named on the site are CBSE, Cambridge (with A Level, AS Level and O Level), the International Baccalaureate, ICSE, CISCE, IGCSE, GCSE, ISC and Edexcel. For the IB, the homepage names the four programs it covers: the Primary Year Programme (PYP), Middle Year Programme (MYP), Diploma Programme (DP) and Career Programme (CP). For Cambridge, it names Cambridge Primary, Cambridge Lower Secondary and Cambridge International AS, A and O Level. CBSE gets separate pages for families in India, the UAE, Canada, the USA and Nigeria.

Classes run from Class 1 to Class 12, each with its own page. The school subjects listed are Accountancy, Biology, Business Studies, Computer Science, Chemistry, Economics, English, Geography, Hindi, History, Maths, Physics and Political Science, and the "Our Journey So Far" counter puts the total at 40+ subjects covered. Languages form a second strand, with courses in Arabic, English, French, German, Hindi, Malayalam, Spanish and Telugu, plus English language classes aimed at learners in Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, the UAE, Oman and Qatar. Under "Other Programmes" the site adds IELTS preparation, Python classes, thesis writing, assignment help, exam preparation, math help and phonics, so the same tutor network covers a young child learning to read through to a school leaver preparing for IELTS.

How a lesson works

Lessons take place in Ziyyara's own virtual classroom. The FAQ describes "an advanced interactive virtual classroom system" with "an interactive virtual whiteboard, two-way video/audio and chat capability". The site recommends Google Chrome, saying it "supports all the features and provides a best user experience."

Each session lasts 60 minutes. The FAQ explains the choice: lesson plans are structured so that the student-teacher interaction is no longer than 60 minutes, which it calls "the threshold beyond which a student's ability to learn deteriorates significantly." The Bengaluru tuition page adds detail on teaching style: classes are planned in advance, tutors "organize quizzes and games in between the classes" to keep children engaged, difficult concepts are broken into smaller ones, the whiteboard is used to explain them, and tutors share worksheets so students can do assignments after class. The same page says Ziyyara tracks each student's development.

On notes, the Bengaluru FAQ says tutors "provide education material in PDF form while delivering the classes", and that a student can ask for a recording of a particular class to revise it. The homepage FAQ sets out the policy behind that: Ziyyara and its tutors do not record classes themselves, to protect the privacy of both parties, but "assist parent/student in recording the classes from their end." In other words, recordings are made on the family's side with the company's help.

Tutors and parents

Tutors are recruited through a selection process; the site says all tutors "undergo a detailed selection process" before they are finalized, and that parents with doubts about a tutor's credentials can raise them with the coordinating team. The homepage counter claims 1,500+ certified tutors. A student is not tied to the first tutor assigned: the FAQ says a family can ask for a replacement, after speaking to the coordinating team.

That coordinating team is the parents' main contact. The Bengaluru page says it "regularly communicates with parents" so that they know what is covered in sessions and how their child is developing. Parents can reach the team by phone or email, and the homepage carries WhatsApp buttons beside each board description. The site also has separate registration paths for students and for teachers who want to tutor with Ziyyara.

Trial, price and scale

The way in is a free demo class. The homepage describes it as "a free trial session that allows parents and students to experience the teaching methodology and technology." The FAQ limits it to one demo class for one subject; after that, a family that is happy with the teaching enrolls. The site publishes no fee table, and describes its rates only as affordable, with the Bengaluru page saying students can take classes "at the most affordable rates in comparison to what is being charged by coaching centers."

The homepage counter reports 10000+ happy parents and students, 40+ subjects, 1,500+ certified tutors and 1000000 classes delivered, and a heading says Ziyyara delivers tuition in 20+ countries. The country pages include Bahrain, Germany, Hong Kong, India, Kuwait, Kenya, the Maldives, Malaysia, Mauritius, New Zealand, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Thailand, the United Kingdom and the UAE, with city pages for Bengaluru and Chennai and for several UK and UAE cities. The footer reads "Since 2019".

Reviews on the homepage are shown through Trustindex, which marks Google as their source. One parent writes that her son "was able to achieve top grades in his 10th board exams this year in the UK"; a Class 11 student credits his tutor with making Accountancy and Business Studies "much easier to understand"; another parent took Hindi for a child in grade 2. Two reviews come from tutors, praising the schedule management and work culture.

Who it suits

Ziyyara suits parents who want private one-to-one tuition matched to a specific school board, including families in the countries the site lists whose children follow CBSE, ICSE, the IB, Cambridge, IGCSE or GCSE. It fits busy households: lessons come to the child at home, timings are flexible, and the coordinating team keeps parents informed. Younger children are covered through phonics and the early classes, older students through board exam subjects, IELTS and Python. The free demo lets a family test a tutor in one subject before paying.

It is less suited to a student who learns best in a group or a classroom of peers, since every class is one-to-one, or to a self-starter who wants recorded courses to work through alone. Families who want to compare published prices before any contact will need to go through the inquiry form or demo first.
