What foriEDU is
foriEDU is a Pakistani tutoring portal that connects families and students with private tutors who either come to the student's home or teach online. The About page puts it plainly: "foriEDU.com is an online and home tutoring website. Located in Pakistan, we manage home tuitions and online tuitions by connecting tutors and students." It is a product for learners and parents choosing a tutor, from primary school through O and A Levels, IB, AP, the local Matric and FSc boards, and entrance tests. Alongside tutoring it offers crash courses taught in a virtual classroom on its e-learning platform.
The homepage calls the service "Pakistan's # 1 Home & Online Tutoring Portal," a claim the company makes about itself. It publishes four headline figures: "50,000+ Experienced tutors," "2,000+ 5-star tutor reviews," "285+ Subjects taught" and "17+ Tutor cities," with a "5.0" rating on Google Reviews. The directory pages show smaller live counts: the full tutor directory reads "SHOWING: 50 OUT OF 5,447 TUTORS," and the Lahore home tutor page "50 OUT OF 858 TUTORS." The About page names the leadership team, with Ammar Raheel as chief executive officer and Safi Ullah Baig as chief operations officer.
How finding and booking a tutor works
The menu organizes home tutoring by city, with dedicated sections for Lahore, Karachi, Islamabad and Rawalpindi, and online tutoring as a separate track. The Lahore page's city filter adds Multan, Faisalabad, Peshawar, Quetta, Bahawalpur, Sheikhupura, Gujranwala, Abbottabad, Sialkot, Sargodha, Skardu and Hunza, and within Lahore it filters down to individual neighborhoods such as DHA, Gulberg, Johar Town, Model Town and Bahria Town.
Each city section is split into the same levels and subjects: Primary and Secondary, O Level, A-Level, IB, AP, Test Prep, Quran, Mathematics, Programming, Matric and FSc/ICS. The homepage subject list goes further: Grade 1-8, MDCAT, ECAT, IELTS and ACT tutors, language tutors for German, English, French, Arabic and Chinese, and Python, C++, statistics and calculus tutors. The FAQ says foriEDU offers "a stellar range of up to 285 subjects, including primary, secondary, IGCSE, O Level, A Level and test prep."
The Lahore page lays out the booking flow in five steps. A parent uses the filters in "Find Tutors" to search "by subject, category, area, or tutor gender," and can message a tutor directly. They then request a time and day for the first lesson, in which goals and learning needs are discussed. A free trial follows, then regular lessons, then feedback. The page states that families can choose female or male home tutors, and that "You can try a few sessions with different tutors until you find the perfect fit." The FAQ adds that bookings can also go through administrators: "You can call or drop a WhatsApp message to our administrators to book a session."
Each tutor has a profile with an "About Me" text, teaching experience, education, student reviews and an hourly rate. The two profiles on the site both list "HOURLY RATE: $15/hour," can be hired "as a Home Tutor" or "Online Tutor," and offer payment by "Credit Card," "Paypal" or "Other (contact us)." The hire form also lets a student propose a different rate: "I want to offer an alternate hourly rate." Sami Mufti, an Arabic tutor, writes that he has taught Arabic "for almost three decade," including at the University of Central Punjab and FAST. GM Shah, a literature tutor, writes that he has taught at Beaconhouse Schools "for about 3 years" and tutored "for over 5 years."
Free trials and session length
foriEDU leads with a free trial, though the length differs between pages. The tutor directory says "3 days free for home tutoring, or a free 60-min demo for online tutoring," and the Lahore page and tutor profiles also give a 3-day free trial for home tutoring. The homepage FAQ says "You can expect a 2-day free home tutoring or 1-hour online session at your convenience," the About page mentions a "2 days free trial" with what it calls a "best fit guarantee," and the same page says "A 15 minutes free trial with the tutor ensures best fit guarantee" for online tutoring. A family should confirm which trial applies before the first lesson.
On session length, the FAQ says "You can extend the session for as long as you require to meet your learning goals," with "a minimum booking requirement of 1 hour."
Prices
The Lahore page publishes a table of "Typical Home Tuition Fees in Lahore" in rupees, with a minimum and maximum fee for each level: Primary-level Rs. 15,000 to 25,000; Secondary-level 18,000 to 25,000; Matric 12,000 to 25,000; FA/FSc/ICS 15,000 to 25,000; O-Levels/IGCSEs 15,000 to 40,000; A-Levels 20,000 to 45,000; and IB Diploma 20,000 to 40,000. Its FAQ sums this up as "fees range from PKR 15,000 for primary levels up to PKR 40,000+ for advanced A-Level or IB coaching." The table does not say what period the fee covers. The page explains that fees depend on the tutor's expertise and experience and on how often and how long the lessons are, and that "if you have more lessons or longer ones, the cost for each hour can be a bit less." Online tutor profiles price in dollars per hour instead.
For tutors, the FAQ is direct about the business model: "Tutors earn a competitive monthly salary," and "ForiEDU retains a commission of 50% from the first month's salary to support our operational costs."
Tutor checks and support
The FAQ describes the vetting: "All our tutors go through a thorough security check before being added to the database. They're asked for personal verification documents and references." Tutors "provide their personal verification documents, including the CNIC, and their credentials are cross-referenced," and "Before submitting the official documents, tutors are not referred to students." Parents "are always encouraged to supervise the sessions." The FAQ also claims tutors "possess a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in their relevant fields," though several directory profiles describe current university and intermediate students, so parents should read each profile. The About page adds that foriEDU runs its own tests whose scores show "the competitiveness of its tutors," next to ratings and reviews.
If a tutor fails to show up, the FAQ asks families to "report the issue to our administrator the same day," pointing to "a dedicated complaint system." The About page promises "24x7 customer service" and says "Our customer support follows the tuitions on monthly basis." The online classroom is described as having "intuitive backstage tools with all the file sharing features and engagement monitoring."
Who it suits and who it does not
foriEDU suits Pakistani families who want a tutor at home in Lahore, Karachi, Islamabad, Rawalpindi or another listed city, especially for O and A Level, IB, Matric and FSc subjects, entry tests such as MDCAT and ECAT, or Quran lessons. The gender filter, the neighborhood search and the free trial days make it practical for parents who want to meet a tutor before committing. Students outside the big cities, or abroad, can take the same subjects online.
It suits less well a family that wants one consistent price list and one trial policy, since both vary across the site, or a parent who expects every tutor to be a qualified teacher: profiles range from experienced lecturers to university students. Tutors weighing the platform should note the 50% commission on the first month's salary.
