Magnet Brains is a free online education platform for Indian school students, run by Magnet Brains Learning Foundation from an address in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. It started as a YouTube channel in May 2019 "with the aim of providing free education to students across India especially those from a humble background," and it now offers complete video courses from kindergarten to Class 12, in English and in Hindi, alongside preparation for entrance exams such as NEET, JEE and CUET and for banking, railway and civil service recruitment exams. The About page gives its vision as "Free access to high quality education for students across India" and names Pankaj Agarwal and Neeraj Agarwal as the founders. The site bills itself as "India's No.1" free online education platform, which is its own description.

Growth and reach

The About page tells the story as a timeline. The YouTube channel crossed 1 Million subscribers in October 2020 and 4 Million in October 2021. In December 2021, the site says, it "Became the 1st School education youtube channel in India to cross 100 Million+ monthly views," and in April 2022 it "Started 100% free classes for NEET and JEE." The headline figures today are 10 Million+ active learners, 100 Million+ monthly views and 14 Million+ YouTube subscribers.

Much of that reach runs through YouTube, and the FAQ explains how the channels are split. Magnet Brains English Medium covers the NCERT/CBSE framework from kindergarten to Class 12. Magnet Brains Hindi Medium covers the upper school years (the channel list gives Class 6th to 12th). Magnet Brains IIT JEE & NEET is built for engineering and medical entrance candidates, and Magnet Brains Competition handles government competitive exams. The website ties these together into course pages, each with a "Watch Now" link per series.

School courses

The core product is full-syllabus school teaching. In the CBSE English Medium track the site lists a complete course for Kindergarten and for every class from Class 1 to Class 12, with Classes 11 and 12 split into Science, Commerce and Humanities streams. Around those sit NCERT Exemplar solutions, CBSE Sample Paper Solutions 2024-25, CBSE Previous Year Question Paper Solutions, and Magnet Brains' own sample paper and mock test paper solutions. The CBSE Hindi Medium track runs from Class 6 to Class 12 with the same kinds of paper solutions.

Three state boards get their own Hindi-medium tracks: MP Board, UP Board and Bihar Board, each with classes from 6 to 12, model paper solutions and NCERT Exemplar, plus Sent Up Exam practice paper solutions for Bihar. Crash courses cover Class 12 Science, Class 12 Commerce and Class 10. The FAQ says the platform covers "all the subjects across the (K-12) NCERT/CBSE framework" and adds less common subjects including Artificial Intelligence, Psychology, Sociology, Legal Studies, Physical Education, Sanskrit and Entrepreneurship.

How students learn

The home page lists the formats: recorded video lectures, live interactive classes, doubt-solving sessions, exam preparation videos, previous year questions, and sample papers with e-notes. The FAQ breaks the study support down further into topic-wise explanations, daily practice problems as PDFs with solutions, chapter-wise MCQs, live doubt-solving sessions, weekly test papers, one-shot revisions and an online test series, with "Unlimited access to high-quality educational videos." Students can keep going on a phone through the Magnet Brains app, which the site offers for Android through the Google Play Store.

Study notes come as E-Notes and E-Books in both English Medium and Hindi Medium, promoted for "24/7 Accessibility on Any Device." Course pages name the teacher behind each series where there is one: Divya Dhanwani teaches Coding For Juniors, Sapna Ahuja the Tally course, Chandni Dinani the English All in One tutorial and Neha Verma a series of Hindi poems and stories, while larger exam courses are credited to "MB Team" or "MB Teachers."

Entrance, government and banking exams

Beyond school, the course menu is long. For school-level competitions there are Olympiad courses for Classes 1, 9 and 10, an NTSE course and a CUET/CUCET course. IIT-JEE and NEET each have an All Course, a Foundation course and a Rank Booster Module. Government job candidates get UPSC, a Bank & Insurance section with SBI PO, SBI Clerk, IBPS and a foundation course, RRB courses for NTPC, ALP and Group D, and SSC courses for CGL, CHSL, MTS and Stenographer. For bank staff there is a CAIIB (Certified Associate of Indian Institute of Bankers) full course and a JAIIB/CAIIB Mahapack. The FAQ describes a "separate structured and dedicated section for the preparation of each and every exam."

Skills and extra learning

A skill-based section holds Coding For Juniors, billed as a complete course from beginner to advanced, and Tally & GST, described as learning accounting and bookkeeping online. Vedic Maths and Spoken English have their own complete courses. The Extra Learning section is lighter: an English All in One tutorial, DIYs, Art & Crafts and Experiments videos, the Mini Jaankari series, a One Question One Video series, #Shorts Specials, an online summer camp and Hindi poems and stories. The FAQ also mentions storytelling sessions.

Price and results

Everything on the course pages is presented as free, and the features list opens with 100% free quality education. The E-Notes and E-Books are promoted under the banner "Support Our Free School Education Initiative" with no price shown on the pages.

The home page puts student results up front: Arya with 97.4% in the Class 12 board, Shivangi with 99% and simran with 98% in Class 10. In the testimonials, Arya Chourasia writes, "I scored 97.4% in my board exams of class 12th." Prarthana BK from Mysore, Karnataka, a student at Capitol Public School, says she scored "an overall percentage of 97.3% as the school topper in my 10th grade" and thanks the team "for providing excellent education at 0 cost." Pranjal Pankaj Rajput writes, "I joined with magnet brains when I was in 9th," and credits the teachers for a 96.60% board result. These are individual students the site chose to feature, not figures for all learners. Queries and feedback go by email, and the footer lists separate phone lines for notes and for support.

Who it suits

Magnet Brains suits Indian students who follow the CBSE syllabus in English or Hindi, or the MP, UP or Bihar boards in Hindi, and who want full-syllabus video teaching with practice papers at no cost. It fits families who cannot pay for coaching, students who want a second explanation of a chapter their school covered quickly, and NEET or JEE candidates looking for a free foundation course. The government exam and JAIIB/CAIIB sections make it useful well past school age, for job seekers and for bank employees studying for promotion exams.

It suits less well a student on a non-Indian curriculum, since everything is built around Indian boards and exams. Teaching is in English and Hindi only, so a learner who studies in another regional language has no track here. Students who want one-to-one tutoring will find mostly recorded lectures, with live classes and doubt sessions as the interactive part, and iPhone users should note that the pages mention only an Android app.
