What Instrucko is

Instrucko is a live online class platform for children aged 3 to 15, aimed mainly at families in India. Its homepage promises "Personalized 1:1 learning in English, Phonics, Public Speaking, Maths, and Foreign Languages powered by Oxford-backed courseware." The site footer sums up the company: it "specialises in teaching English, Maths, Public Speaking, Creative Writing, Phonics, Sustainability, Personality Development and languages to children between the age of 3-15 years", its classes "are conducted by teachers from India as well as by native speakers", and its courseware "has been created by leading educationists in the United Kingdom and alumni from University of Oxford."

Classes are live. Among the six points the homepage lists under "More than tuition", the one on live classes promises "Real interaction in every session" and "never pre-recorded lessons." Parents choose between one-to-one and group classes, and between a teacher from India and an international teacher from the UK. The other five points cover personalized learning adapted to the child's "pace, style and starting point", "Experienced educators who know how to engage children, not part-time tutors", a global perspective from teachers and peers abroad, progress tracking for parents, and skills "Beyond Academics" such as communication, confidence and creativity.

Courses

The course menu covers three groups:

  • Academics: English, Maths, Phonics and Chess.
  • Languages: Spanish, German, French and Hindi.
  • Skill Up: Personality Development, Financial Literacy, Public Speaking and Creative Writing, with Sustainability also in the menu.

The student stories on the homepage also mention an Etiquette course.

The math page shows how a course is laid out. It splits learners into four age bands (3 to 5, 6 to 8, 9 to 11 and 12 to 14) and lists topics by age: sorting and classifying, knowing numbers and spatial sense for the youngest; skip counting, comparing and ordering, addition, subtraction, fractions, time and measurement and picture graphs next; then number systems, multiplication, division, money, time and calendar, and 2D and 3D shapes. A full curriculum is offered as a download. The page describes the curriculum as "compliant with IB, IGCSE, CIE, CBSE, and ICSE standards".

The chess page lists learning goals rather than topics: chess rules and movements, strategic thinking and planning, analyzing the board and predicting the opponent's moves, critical thinking and problem solving, and "sportsmanship, patience, and perseverance." It shows alignment badges for the CBSE, IB and IGCSE curricula.

How a child is taught

The homepage sets out a five-step method: Assess ("Understand your child's current level, strengths and gaps"), Personalise, Teach ("Live classes with expert teachers who adapt to your child"), Track ("Parents see progress and receive meaningful feedback") and Grow. Teaching leans on stories and games. The course pages describe "Learning through story", saying "Stories enhance knowledge retention and boost children's engagement", and "Gamified learning" meant to build "healthy homework habits". The homepage counts "5,000 +" digitized and animated lessons and "750 + Experienced Teachers" from India and the UK. For the youngest, the FAQ says online classes "can be started from 3–4 years of age through educational games and fun activity-based learning".

Each course page carries a comparison of one-to-one and group classes, with Indian and international teacher options, listing class duration, homework help, parent tutor meetings, progress reports, workbooks and "Certification Provided". The homepage adds "Regular Parent-Teacher Meetings" and "1:1 Attention". A "Holistic development" panel says the English courses also aim to make children "more resilient and emotionally intelligence". The site also offers free worksheets, free live videos, a kids' library and workbooks.

Starting with an assessment

The trial class is paid. The first step is a one-to-one assessment: "Try a real instrucko class for ₹349", described as a "One - time class" and a "full 1:1 assessment class" covering the child's current level, learning gaps, confidence, strengths and areas for improvement. Under "Why isn't it free?" the homepage explains that the "₹349 assessment is conducted by a real teacher and gives us the opportunity to understand your child before recommending a programme." Parents can book from the website or by phone, according to the FAQ.

Beyond the assessment, the course pages say "We keep pricing transparent and clear at all times"; the programs themselves are recommended after the assessment, and the site shows no fee for them.

Results and scale claims

The site makes several outcome claims in its own name:

  • "76% of instrucko students come in the Top 10% of their class" (homepage)
  • "96% of instrucko students outperform their peers in school" (course pages)
  • "See improvement in just 5 classes", with "Over 80% of parents" reporting noticeable improvement in pace and confidence (homepage)
  • "We've improved academic results for 50k children" (course pages)

On size, the homepage says "50,000 + Kids" and "Trusted by over 50,000+ parents", and lists "50+ Schools" and a "95% Retention Rate" next to its teacher training. The site does not say how the outcome figures were measured. A video testimonial from "Mrs. Kareena Kapoor Khan", as the site names her, sits on the homepage and course pages, with the line "I'd say instrucko all the way."

Schools and partners

Instrucko also works with schools and content creators. The partners page invites teachers to "Distribute and monetise your content through instrucko", from "maths to resilience to flower arrangement courses", and says "Our LMS makes it easy to grow your audience of learners." It claims "1000 schools within India use instrucko", says the platform is "Used by leading institutions like Eton College", and sets a goal "to reach all 250 million children in India." The same page quotes BESA, which it describes as having an "85-year heritage serving the UK education sector"; its Director General says BESA "is partnering with instrucko to bring the wealth of UK education expertise to discerning Indian educators and parents". The footer adds links for schools, corporates, teacher courses and a refer-a-friend scheme.

Who it suits

Instrucko suits parents in India of children aged 3 to 15 who want live, teacher-led classes in English, phonics, math, foreign languages or communication skills, with the choice of a UK teacher and one-to-one attention. The storytelling and game-based approach fits younger children in particular, and the age-banded math curriculum covers the early years through to age 14. The paid ₹349 assessment means a family spends a little before seeing a recommendation, though it gets a full one-to-one class for it. Parents who want self-paced recorded lessons will not find them here, since every session is live.
