What Geniebook is

Geniebook is a Singapore learning platform for school students, sold to parents, that combines online classes, personalized worksheets and physical tuition. Its site says it is "Suitable for P1-JC2 students", which covers Primary 1 to 6, Secondary 1 to 4 and the two junior college years, JC1 and JC2, and it teaches English, Chinese, Mathematics and Science. The company, Geniebook Pte Ltd, lists its office in Ang Mo Kio, Singapore. According to its "Why Geniebook" page it was founded in 2017 by two educators, is backed by Apricot Capital, East Ventures Growth, Lightspeed Venture Partners and angel investors, and has staff in Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam and China. The same page calls Geniebook "Singapore's largest online learning platform" for those four subjects. The site switches between a Singapore and a Vietnam version.

Everything is built around the Singapore Ministry of Education (MOE) syllabus and the national exams: the PSLE at the end of Primary 6, the GCE O-Level and the GCE A-Level.

The four products and how a week works

The homepage describes "Four products, one plan", each feeding the next:

  • GenieClass teaches MOE-aligned topics each week. The live version is a weekly group class "strictly following the AY 2026 MOE syllabus", and a recorded version gives access to all lessons at the student's own pace.
  • GenieSmart is the practice engine. The "Why Geniebook" page describes it as "an AI that recommends questions based on academic strengths and gaps", and the plan cards promise "30 personalised worksheets per week targeting new topics and known weaknesses." The site says its AI also grades assignments instantly so parents can follow progress in real time.
  • GenieAsk is an "On-demand academic support chat available whenever the student needs help", described elsewhere as a social learning platform where students connect with teachers about a specific level and subject.
  • CAMPUS is the physical tuition arm, where a teacher works on exam topics and learning gaps in person.

The homepage lays out a four-step week. First, a 1-hour GenieClass lesson, live or recorded, introduces a new topic. Second, a GenieSmart worksheet practices that topic while it is fresh. Third, another worksheet covers upcoming exam topics, ordered by the child's biggest gaps. Fourth, for CAMPUS families, "A 1.5-hour physical session" works on exam topics and the gaps the data has flagged.

Holding this together is the Personalised Learning Plan (PLP), which the site describes as "a monthly, data-driven roadmap" built around the topics in the child's next exam and the specific gaps holding the score back. It is generated from the child's diagnostic data and updated every month.

Live classes and the student experience

GenieClass is a large online class rather than small-group tuition: one student quoted on the teachers page mentions "there usually being more than 50 participants in each lesson", and says teachers still give extra time to harder questions. Other students quoted there describe pre-class and post-class quizzes, a spotlight function that shows other students' answers, game sessions in some classes, and animations and videos in Science lessons.

Motivation runs through a rewards system. Students earn "Bubbles" by completing activities and answering bubble questions, then spend them in the Bubble Store, which the site describes as a redemption program offering kid-safe items. The Geniebook app comes in separate student and parent versions, and the FAQ says parents "will receive regular progress updates through the Geniebook app."

Teachers, according to the site, are selected through a "rigorous 6-stage hiring process", are well versed in MOE guidelines and curricula, and design in-house lessons. The teachers page says they adjust their approach using data insights, give personal feedback and answer homework doubts.

CAMPUS physical tuition

CAMPUS is the in-person option, and the homepage frames it as an "academic personal trainer": a diagnostic assessment finds strengths and gaps, the PLP picks the right Geniebook tools, and the teacher closes those gaps in class. The FAQ answers the practical questions:

  • Each CAMPUS session runs for 1.5 hours, once a week, on top of the weekly online cycle.
  • Sessions follow a three-part format: reviewing mistakes from GenieSmart, guided practice on the child's priority topics, then a short recap.
  • CAMPUS covers English, Chinese, Mathematics and Science for Primary 1 to Secondary 4.
  • Classes run "at any of our 7 learning centres across Singapore", and the site lists centers at United Square, Century Square, Junction 8, Parkway Parade, Goldhill Centre, Sembawang Shopping Centre and Serene Centre, with Bukit V marked as opening soon. The homepage notes all are near an MRT station.
  • A child already on GenieClass or GenieSmart can add CAMPUS, and the PLP is meant to complement rather than duplicate the online work.

Plans, trials and pricing

The homepage presents two plans. The Online plan ("PLAN 1 Online Programme") includes live GenieClass, recorded GenieClass, the 30 weekly GenieSmart worksheets and GenieAsk. The CAMPUS plan ("PLAN 2 CAMPUS Programme") replaces the live online class with "3-5 physical lessons per month focused on closing each student's individual learning gaps", and keeps recorded GenieClass, GenieSmart and GenieAsk "on top of in-class consultations." There is also a separate "JC Online Programme" for junior college students.

The site publishes no prices; families book a "complimentary Assessment", online or at a CAMPUS, and an education consultant follows up. The menu offers "Start a trial", other pages invite parents to "Book your free demo", and a form offers "a free diagnostic report of your child's strengths & weaknesses." The homepage says the assessment takes "20-30 min" and that a progress signal comes after 2 classes. The footer links to terms and conditions and a refund policy.

Results and scale claims

The site makes several outcome and size claims, all its own:

  • "1 in 2 Geniebook students scored AL 1 to AL 2 for PSLE", where AL1 is the highest of the eight PSLE achievement levels.
  • "300K+" students taught and "100M+ MOE-syllabus aligned questions attempted", from the homepage; other banners on the same site say "Trusted by over 220,000 students."
  • The FAQ says "Most families see measurable progress in test papers and school results within 2 to 3 months of consistent attendance."

The homepage also carries a wall of Google reviews from parents and students, many naming individual teachers and education consultants at specific CAMPUS centers.

Free exam resources

Beyond the paid plans, the site works as a free study library for Singapore families. Exam preparation sections cover PSLE, GCE O-Level, GCE A-Level, AEIS, IGCSE, the Maths Olympiad and the ASEAN Scholarship, with exam papers and worksheets for Primary 1 to Secondary 4. The PSLE section includes a score calculator, the 2026 scoring system, syllabus, exam tips, timetable and exam format, plus an FAQ explaining how the eight achievement levels work. Topic articles run from Primary 1 addition to Secondary 4 integration techniques.

Who it suits

Geniebook fits Singapore families who want structured, MOE-aligned support and visible progress data, especially in the years leading up to the PSLE, O-Level or A-Level. The online plan suits a self-motivated child who will do worksheets between classes; one parent review on the homepage recommends it for "students with self motivation and control". The CAMPUS plan suits parents who want a teacher in the room once a week without giving up the online practice and reporting. Families outside the Singapore system will find less use in a curriculum built on MOE topics and national exams, and parents who want to compare costs before talking to anyone should expect to go through an assessment and a consultant first.
