What Always Live Yoga is

Always Live Yoga (ALY) is an online yoga service run by Aly Yoga Private Limited, with an address at 577/2 MG Road, Indore, MP 452003, India. It has two sides. The larger one is a subscription to live, interactive yoga classes, which the home page headlines as "Online Yoga Classes for Women" with "Flexible Timings & Women Trainers." The second is a 200 Hour Yoga Certification Course, a teacher training whose graduates can go on to teach on ALY's own platform.

So the product serves two kinds of learner: someone who wants to practice yoga at home with a live teacher, and someone who wants to become a yoga teacher. The ALY Approach page sums up the philosophy in a line: "Creating self-awareness, of body, of mind."

The live class subscription

The home page price is "Rs.999/month," and you can "Book free demo on WhatsApp instantly." Classes are live and run on Zoom. The site describes them as "live, interactive on Zoom and beginner-friendly," taken "in 60 minutes a day, from home," and "Guided by women trainers certified from Rishikesh."

The schedule is wide. The home page promises "All day live classes from 5am to 9.30pm," on "All 7 Days" in "Small Batches," and says you can "Join any batch, any day as per your schedule." You can sort classes "by level, teacher, time, emphasis," and the subscription gives access "to both short lessons and full-length sessions." Beyond live classes, members can watch videos of ALY's online classes, and the site says it can notify you by email when a new lesson or challenge is available.

Every class follows the same shape. The Our Approach page says: "In our classes, we have a combination of yoga styles that assist beginner and intermediate level practitioners to improve their fitness levels. Warm-ups, Asana series, pranayama & meditation are part of each session." The stated aim is "to make yoga accessible for all."

Getting started is simple, according to the "How AlwaysLiveYoga Works" steps: pick any class, "roll out your mat/dhurrie & set your phone/laptop few feet away," then "Log in & join any live interactive class with one click."

Specialty programs

The menu and home page list several focused programs alongside general classes:

  • Prenatal Yoga, with live prenatal classes and videos. The site advises talking to your healthcare practitioner first, since "everybody is different."
  • Weight loss plan, which pairs yoga with a dietician. The home page mentions "Diet Chart Counsel, Medical issues support."
  • Face Yoga
  • Live Meditation, plus guided meditation and breath practice.
  • Kids Yoga
  • Yoga Therapy, with therapy videos on the site.
  • Video Courses
  • Corporate Yoga for workplaces.

Private classes are also available. The site says personal online classes "will be tailored as per your requirements, specific goals, your daily schedule, time duration and budget," including personal classes for weight loss and pregnancy.

The teachers and advisors

The trainers page says: "Our trainers hold Master's degrees in Yogic Science and specialize in yoga therapy, yoga for women, yoga for kids, and prenatal yoga." ALY also lists an advisory panel, including Sandeep Agarwalla (MA Yoga Psychology), Seema Anand (Master, Tantric Meditation), Dr. B.K. Bandre (Ph.D., D.Litt., Yoga Advisor) and Dr. Shreejan Sita (PhD, Integrated Medicine), and an operations team. The Our Approach page says ALY will support students with advisors "from around the globe" to guide them on their path of self discovery.

The 200-hour teacher training

The Yoga Training Certificate page is headed "Learn with us, work with us!" It describes the 200 Hour Yoga Certification Course as "appropriate for the serious student who would like to start teaching yoga, as well as the student who would like to deepen their own knowledge and personal practice."

The program's main features, as listed:

  • Philosophy of Yoga & its different streams
  • ALY program of asanas, pranayama, meditation
  • Yogic Diet & Yoga Therapy
  • Anatomy & Physiology
  • Online class teaching techniques
  • Presentation & Technology training
  • Theory and Practical sessions throughout the course

The duration is 200 hours. Applicants should be "Physically fit with some prior knowledge of Yoga," have "Good people skills," be "Passionate about Yoga" and be "Technology savvy." You apply by emailing contact@alwaysliveyoga.com.

What sets this training apart is what happens after it. The page says: "Join our training program to be ALY Certified. This will allow us to provide you with students to run your own class on our platform." The online teaching and technology modules make sense in that light: the course prepares you to teach exactly the kind of live online class ALY runs, and certification is the route into teaching for ALY. The menu also has a separate Join Our Team page. The training page does not print a fee; applications go by email.

Track record

The home page "Success Metrics" panel claims "50000+" people "TRIED OUR SERVICE," clients in "10+" countries, "100%" on-time classes and "0%" cancellations. A testimonials page with video and written reviews is linked from the home page, and the site says ALY has been featured in the press.

Support and policies

Contact is by email, phone or WhatsApp, and social accounts on Facebook, Instagram and YouTube. The footer links terms and conditions, a privacy policy, a medical waiver and health calculators. A FAQ covers class timings, fees, class size, the dietician program, private classes, the right class for you and the age group for kids classes.

Who it suits

The class subscription suits a woman who wants live, guided yoga at home with a female teacher, at a time that fits a busy day, from early morning to late evening. At Rs.999 a month with a free demo first, it is a low-commitment way to get regular instruction with someone watching your form, which the site argues matters because practicing alone risks doing postures the wrong way. The specialty programs make it a fit for expecting mothers, people working on weight with a dietician, parents looking for kids' classes and companies wanting corporate sessions.

The teacher training suits a practitioner who already has a regular practice and wants to teach online, especially one who would like a ready-made platform and students after qualifying. Because ALY says it will provide certified graduates with students for their own classes on its platform, the course doubles as a hiring route.

The trade-offs are clear from the pages. Classes are built around women and women trainers, and prices are in rupees, so the service is shaped for its home market even though it counts clients in more than 10 countries. The teacher training is a straightforward 200-hour program whose fee you learn by email.
