What it is
SET e-Learning is the online course site of the Stock Exchange of Thailand, which holds the site's copyright and runs its contact center. The About page describes it as a digital source of financial and investment knowledge that combines multimedia with lessons for university students, learners and investors who want to develop step by step into professional investors. The courses run from basic to advanced knowledge and cover both personal financial planning and investing in stocks, derivatives, mutual funds and bonds.
The site is in Thai, and almost every course description is too, although some course titles are in English. Registration as a SET Member costs nothing, according to the About page, and the course cards on the homepage are marked free. For a Thai learner, that makes it one of the simplest ways to get structured investing and money lessons from the exchange itself rather than from a broker or a paid coach.
The course catalog
The course menu splits the catalog into thirteen categories: Money Style, financial planning, investment principles, stock investing, derivatives, mutual funds, bonds, derivative warrants (DW), foreign investing, courses for entrepreneurs, courses for staff of listed companies, sustainable business development, and other alternative assets. A short "which course suits you?" prompt helps first-time visitors choose.
The homepage then groups courses into themed sets. For beginners in financial planning there are courses on planning money systematically, on the four basics of earning, saving, spending and growing money, and on regular investing in stocks and funds with dollar cost averaging (DCA). A debt set covers what to know before borrowing, how to manage debt once it becomes a problem, restructuring bad debt up to the legal stage, how the credit bureau records and scores you, and using credit cards wisely. An age-based set offers separate courses for people aged 20+, 40+, 50+ and 60+, moving from first-job budgeting and tax planning to retirement income.
For new investors there are beginner courses on fundamental analysis of stocks, buying stocks online with the Settrade Streaming app, mutual funds for beginners, and futures and options for beginners, with the derivatives course framed around both earning returns and hedging risk in rising and falling markets. More advanced sets cover technical chart trading (choosing between run trend, swing and day trading styles, and trading volatile and sideways markets) and reading financial statements for manufacturing, trading and service businesses, plus a course on spotting warning signs in a company's accounts.
Retirement and tax get their own sets: managing a provident fund (PVD) portfolio, tax planning after retirement, tax-deduction funds, and estate planning, including wills. Money Style is the lifestyle strand, a playlist of 26 items in which presenters share how they earn and plan money as streamers, artists, affiliate marketers or people juggling several jobs, along with courses on career choices and handling stress. A separate set on getting ahead at work includes a course on working with an AI chatbot.
Courses for entrepreneurs and listed companies
SET e-Learning is not only for personal investors. The entrepreneur courses, most with English titles, include Customer Validation, Design Thinking, Pitching Technique, Entrepreneurial Mindset, Business Idea Discovery, Creativity & Design in Entrepreneurship, Business Model Canvas, Personal Branding for Entrepreneurs and AI Tools for Entrepreneurs.
For listed companies, the catalog carries ESG 102, a course on sustainable business basics; CFO 01 Business and GHG Emission Reduction and CFO 02 Carbon Footprint for Organization; a value chain analysis course for sustainable supply chains; a new course on TFRS18 Presentation and Disclosure in Financial Statements; and a Training series 102 run of sessions on the FTSE Russell ESG Scores 2025 assessment, meant to help listed companies prepare before those scores are published.
The homepage also lists the exchange's projects and partnerships that use the site, including a program for teachers and teaching staff, financial literacy programs for vocational students, for new workers, freelancers and the general public, and one for police officers.
Course length and format
Each course card shows its length, which makes planning easy. The homepage examples run from 21 minutes for the value chain course to 4 hours and 3 minutes for the course on money in retirement, with many beginner courses between one and three hours. Each card names the instructor, and one instructor is listed with CISA and CFP credentials. The homepage also ranks the 10 courses with the most learners each week; recent leaders included Customer Validation, Design Thinking and the two CFO carbon courses, alongside courses on money for new graduates and for salaried workers.
According to the About page, courses are split into short lessons in a structured order, and each standard course has tests to measure knowledge before and after studying. A progress tracker lets learners follow their status and check test results.
Beside the courses, an educational clip section hosts short videos, including a numbered series on investing in stocks with Settrade Streaming that walks through checking prices, placing buy and sell orders, reading bid and offer, tracking profit and loss, and setting up DCA orders and backtesting. Several of these clips show tens of thousands of views. The menu also links to an investment glossary, an FAQ and SET Zooom in Classroom.
Certificates
The About page says learners can request a certificate from SET confirming they have completed a course in full. Certificates are available for courses that include assessment tests, and once you pass, you can print the certificate yourself. The progress tracker issues an e-Certification right away. A separate certificate checker page lets anyone enter a certificate's reference number to verify it, which is useful for an employer or school that wants to confirm a learner's record.
These are completion certificates from the exchange's learning site. The site's footer adds that all content is provided for information and education only.
Access and support
You need a free SET Member account to get a username and password for the course system. The About page says courses can be studied on a PC, Mac, notebook or mobile device, through Internet Explorer version 11, Chrome, Safari or Firefox. For help, the site points to its FAQ and help center, and the SET Contact Center can be reached at 02-009-9999.
Who it suits
SET e-Learning suits Thai learners who want free, well-organized lessons on money and investing from a neutral source: a first jobber setting up a budget, a salaried worker planning for retirement or tax, someone deep in credit card debt, or a new investor opening a first stock or fund account. The short, timed courses make it easy to fit lessons into a commute, and the before and after tests give a quick read on what stuck. Traders who want more than the basics will find technical analysis and financial statement courses, and business owners get a practical entrepreneur track. Listed companies can use the ESG, carbon and reporting courses for staff.
The main limit is language: the site and course descriptions are in Thai, so it is of little use to a learner who does not read Thai. The content also centers on the Thai market, from Settrade Streaming to provident funds and Thai tax deductions, so investors focused on other markets will need other material.
