Multiverse is a workforce training company that delivers professional apprenticeships in AI, data and software engineering. It sells to employers: a company buys a program, and its employees learn while they keep working. The site calls Multiverse an "Upskilling platform for AI and tech adoption", and its mission is to "Equip the workforce to win in the AI era". Its address is 2 Eastbourne Terrace in London, and the mission page says it was founded in 2016 by Euan Blair and has grown across the UK and US. The site also offers a German country version.

How the model works

The mission page sets out the approach in three verbs. Multiverse diagnoses an organization's goals and the skills its team has to deliver them, prescribes learning paths, and treats skills gaps with MAGE, which it calls its bespoke learning framework, so that what is learned gets used on the job. The home page breaks this into three steps: an expert assessment of business goals and employee skillsets to uncover gaps, upskilling teams in AI, data and tech, and measuring the effect on productivity and performance.

Four features set out what a buyer gets. Business impact is tracked as return on learning investment through efficiencies, productivity and cost savings. Coaching is "Expert-guided, AI-powered human coaching", an ecosystem of human and AI support for each learner. Learning happens on the job, with apprentices working in a real business setting tailored to the individual and the organization. And the company frames the whole thing as career transformation, with equitable access to opportunity for everyone on a team.

The programs

The programs page groups the catalog into AI, data and engineering. Each card gives the delivery time, the end assessment, who it is for, the apprenticeship level and the job role it maps to.

AI programs

  • AI-Powered Productivity: 13 months plus a 3-month assessment, Level 3, for junior to mid-level professionals, built around GenAI tools such as Microsoft CoPilot and Gemini and responsible AI use.
  • AI Productivity and Workflows: 13 months plus 3, Level 3, for mid-level staff new to GenAI who work with Copilot Studio, Gemini Enterprise or Claude Team, moving from foundations to everyday agentic workflows.
  • AI Solutions Builder: 13 months, Level 4 (AI and Automation Practitioner), for mid-level employees who act as departmental agentic AI champions.
  • AI Transformation Architect: 13 months, Level 4, for people with GenAI knowledge who design AI and automation strategy across teams.
  • AI and Machine Learning Fellowship: 16 months plus 3, Level 6, for data science teams (Machine Learning Engineer).
  • AI Product Engineering: 21 months plus 3, a Level 6 degree apprenticeship leading to a BSc Hons in Digital and Technology Solutions (AI Product Engineering), for software engineers.

Data programs

  • Data and AI Accelerator: 12 months plus 3, Level 3, for entry-level employees, combining workplace readiness with data and AI skills through a real business project.
  • Data and Insights with AI Fundamentals: 12 months plus 3, Level 3 (Data Technician), for anyone who wants more confidence with data, including storytelling and prompting.
  • Data Fellowship: 13 months, Level 4 (Data Analyst), teaching programming, data modeling and analysis to aspiring and new analysts.
  • Applied Data Engineering: 15 months plus 3, Level 5 (Data Engineer), for professionals who already have Python and SQL.
  • Advanced Data Fellowship Top Up: 2 years plus a 1-month assessment, a Level 6 degree apprenticeship for people holding a Level 4 data analytics qualification, leading to a BSc (Hons) in Digital and Technology Solutions (Data Analytics).
  • Advanced Data Fellowship: 3 years and 2 months plus 1 month, a Level 4 to 6 degree apprenticeship for junior analysts, leading to the same BSc.

Engineering programs

  • DevOps Engineering Upskiller: 11 months plus 3, Level 4, for engineers moving into DevOps.
  • Java Software Engineering: 13 months plus a 3 to 4 month assessment, Level 4 (Software Developer), for new talent and people reskilling into software engineering.

The range matters for a training team. It covers entry-level hires, analysts, engineers and AI champions, and lets a company move someone from a Level 4 data qualification into a degree-level top-up later.

Learning science and support

Multiverse runs a Learning Science Research Hub. Its published work covers 13 durable skills it links to AI adoption, a model of learning agility, four engines of social learning, the MAGE learning model, metacognition, and the impact of AI feedback in applied learning. The policies page shows the formal side of running apprenticeships, with an assessment security policy, a break-in-learning policy, an appeals policy, a learner support policy, a safeguarding policy, an apprentice protection plan for 2026/2027 and separate degree apprenticeship policies. It also lists terms of use for career guidance 1:1 sessions and for a guided conversation with Atlas, alongside evaluation tools for employers.

Community for apprentices

Apprentices and alumni join the Multiverse Community, which the site describes as having thousands of members. A Community Hub, open only to apprentices, lets members chat, read articles, watch past events, join discussions and join interest groups. Members get events with speakers, applied workshops and peer learning sessions, and can be matched with sector professionals for 1:1 virtual career mentoring on day-to-day challenges, goal-setting and career planning. A leadership track lets members lead and represent the community, with a perks package and development workshops.

Scale and results, as the company reports them

The home page says 1,500+ companies across the UK trust Multiverse, that 22,000+ learners are in its AI, data and tech programs, and that customers have £2 billion in tracked return on investment. The mission page names Microsoft, Mars and John Lewis Partnership among its customers, and a video case study shows how John Lewis Partnership built data capability. The site's 2026 Impact Hub cites 40,000+ learners and a headline that 3 in 5 learners get a promotion, pay rise or more responsibility. Multiverse also claims to train more AI apprentices than anyone else. The mission page reports a 2026 raise of $70m at a $2.1bn valuation to expand across Europe, with General Catalyst, Lightspeed Venture Partners and StepStone Group among its investors.

Buying and funding

The site publishes no prices; employers contact sales or book a consultation. For UK employers it offers a guide to the Apprenticeship Levy as a way to fund workforce skills training.

Who it suits

Multiverse fits a UK employer that wants to build AI, data or engineering capability inside its existing workforce over a year or more, with coaching, a formal apprenticeship level and measured business impact, rather than handing staff a video library. It suits HR and L&D teams that need structured, assessed programs for several levels of staff at once. For an individual, the route in is through an employer: the programs are sold to companies, and the community is for apprentices already enrolled.
