What Codefinity is
Codefinity is an online learning platform where adults learn AI, data and programming skills by writing code in the browser. Its homepage promises "practical AI, data and coding skills to accelerate your career," with access to 500+ courses and tracks and 100+ real-world projects, and says "3.5M+ people learn AI, data, and coding here." A post on the company's blog describes it as a platform "designed for both beginners and professionals to learn coding and other technical skills," and another blog post says Codefinity was founded in 2021. It is a learner product sold by subscription: one plan opens the whole catalog, and courses cannot be bought one at a time.
What the catalog covers
The homepage puts AI tools first. There are courses on Claude (prompting, document analysis, Projects, Artifacts, Memory and Skills), ChatGPT (advanced features, data, creative work and image generation), Gemini across Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Slides and Meet, and Microsoft Copilot across Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. Automation courses cover n8n, Zapier and make.com, and a Cursor course has learners build a first browser game by prompting the AI step by step. AI Labs let learners "Practice in a real Claude Code terminal."
Data and machine learning make up the next layer. Featured items include Introduction to SQL, a beginner course of 41 chapters that runs from SELECT and WHERE through ORDER BY to aggregate functions such as COUNT, AVG and SUM, rated 4.7 from 2,922 ratings; Introduction to Python, 46 chapters rated 4.6 from 11,851 ratings; and an intermediate project, Identifying Spam Emails, in which learners preprocess email text with tokenization and vectorization and then build and evaluate a classification model. The list of recent completions on the homepage shows the range further: NumPy Basics, Machine Learning for Time Series Forecasting, Detecting Hate Speech Using Neural Networks, PyTorch Essentials, Databricks Fundamentals, BigQuery Fundamentals, Intermediate SQL and a Deep Learning Engineer track. Skills named on the homepage include Python, SQL, Pandas, NumPy, Excel, Tableau and Power BI.
For coding, a December 2024 blog post lists courses in Python, SQL, Go, PHP, Java, Excel, TypeScript, Power BI, HTML and CSS, C++, Dart, React, C#, R, C and JavaScript, plus game development with Unity and Unreal Engine 5. Other completions on the homepage include C++ concurrency and smart pointers, CSS foundations, TypeScript types, Git for open source and UI/UX design with Figma.
The catalog is organized as courses, tracks, projects, code challenges and quizzes. Career tracks named in the footer are AI-Assisted Web Developer, Business Intelligence Specialist, Data Analyst with Python, Data Analyst with SQL and Machine Learning Engineer. Larger bundles work the same way: the Complete Claude Ecosystem track, for example, groups 3 courses and 53 tasks covering Claude, Claude Cowork and Claude Code.
How learning works
Lessons are text and code first. The company's blog describes chapters "broken into well-structured sections that include detailed explanations, code snippets, and guided tasks," with each lesson "followed by hands-on exercises in a built-in browser sandbox, where learners can write and execute code with real-time output and instant feedback." Exercises are checked automatically, and the same posts list video lessons, knowledge tests after modules and hands-on projects built from scratch, while homework with deadlines is not part of the format. Many courses come with downloadable PDFs, code samples and presentations, and full cloud workspaces are available for larger work.
An AI assistant is built in. The blog says learners "have access to a built-in AI assistant that can help solve tasks or clarify the content," and also lists AI-based mock interviews on various topics. On mobile, the blog says Codefinity runs as a mobile web application. Courses and the interface are offered in English, Ukrainian, Portuguese and Spanish.
Certificates
The homepage headline is "Finish a track, get a certificate employers actually read," and describes certificates as "Verifiable, shareable to LinkedIn in one click, and backed by real projects." The blog says students receive a certificate on finishing a course, and its certification table marks course completion and specialization certificates as available. The same table marks accredited and professional certificates, degree programs and degree credit as not offered, and says the value of the certificates depends on how employers regard them. These are Codefinity's own certificates.
Plans, prices and refunds
The homepage sums up the model as AI, data and coding courses, AI Labs, real-world projects and career tracks with shareable certificates, "all included in one subscription," and the footer links to paid memberships and a For Teams plan. It does not print prices. The company's blog post dated December 2024 lists two plans:
- Pro: $49 per month, $99 per 3 months, or $240 per year.
- Ultimate: $59 per month, $147 per 3 months, or $360 per year. A second blog post says the Ultimate subscription provides access to learning tracks and projects.
That second post gives the lowest price as $12 a month on the annual plan, and both posts carry a note that pricing and policies change, so the checkout page has the current figure. Billing can be monthly, quarterly or annual. The blog says Codefinity "does not offer a free trial period" and has no free courses. In place of a trial, the blog describes "a 100% money-back guarantee under specific conditions": a refund must be requested within 31 days of purchase, the learner must have followed the personalized plan for at least 28 consecutive days within those first 31 days, and must show evidence of following it. The footer links to a Money-Back Policy and subscription terms. Access is tied to the subscription; the blog states that "access to courses is revoked upon subscription cancellation or expiration."
Support and community
Technical support runs through forms, course questions and email, with responses within 24 hours according to the blog, and instructors answer questions in each course's Q&A, though the blog notes their engagement depends on the course and instructor. The same post says "Codefinity is an evolving product, which is why there isn't a large community or forums yet." The site footer shows a 4.6 out of 5 rating, and the blog cites an average of 4.6 from 1,505 Trustpilot reviews at the end of 2024.
Who it suits
Codefinity suits self-directed adults who learn by doing: someone moving into data analysis who wants SQL, Python and BI tools with practice in every lesson, an office worker who wants to use Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini or Copilot in daily work, or a developer adding machine learning, automation or AI coding tools. The career tracks give structure to a career changer, and the For Teams plan covers companies that want staff on the same catalog.
It suits less well a learner who wants to try before paying, since there is no free trial or free course and the refund depends on following the plan. Learners who want an active peer forum, live classes or an accredited credential will find the platform built around solo practice, an AI assistant and course Q&A instead.
