What the product is
4Geeks Academy is a coding and AI school for learners who want to change careers into tech or add AI skills to the job they already have. Its homepage now calls it an AI reskilling platform and sums up the offer as "Three AI programs, one platform": become an AI engineer, upskill professionally, or explore at your own pace, with "Human mentorship and AI-powered learning included." The site's structured data describes 4Geeks Academy as a coding bootcamp founded in 2015, with a US address, and the footer carries a Learnpack Inc. copyright. The programs run online, and the site's location list names cities across the United States, Canada, Spain, Germany, Portugal, Ireland, Italy and Latin America, from New York and Toronto to Madrid, Santiago and Bogota.
The three AI programs
The flagship is AI Engineering, which the homepage lists at 22 weeks, or 17 weeks on an accelerated track. It covers AI agents, RAG and vector search, and Python, and the stated goal is to "build complete AI-native systems, frontend to deployment." The homepage calls it the most intensive program, "built around live instruction and a real company case." The company's blog post on online bootcamps adds that the curriculum covers multi-agent workflows, n8n and production builds, describes the track as a 17-week accelerated morning schedule, and says it comes with lifetime mentorship and unlimited 1:1 help.
AI Fluency is the shorter cohort program. It lasts four weeks with one live session per week, needs no coding ("No Coding Required"), works with n8n and OpenClaw, and the homepage promises that learners "walk away with working agents and automations." It is aimed at people who want to fit AI workflows into an existing role, and the footer lists role versions for data analysis, HR, marketing and sales.
AI Flex is a self-paced subscription. It gives access to eight AI courses, the Rigobot AI tutor and stackable certificates. Learners can follow a ready-made path such as The AI-First Professional or The Builder, or design their own sequence, at their own pace.
Beyond those three, the footer names further programs: AI Engineering for Developers, an Applied AI Course, Data Science and Machine Learning with AI, Cybersecurity, and Full Stack with AI. The topics strip on the homepage runs through Python, front end, SQL and databases, networking, cybersecurity, React, Node.js and prompt engineering, so the catalog still covers classic software and data skills alongside the AI tracks. There are also free interactive tutorials and how-to guides for students, plus a 4Geeks for Companies offer and a Talent page for employers.
Mentorship, tutoring and the learning platform
The homepage says every program comes with tailored support and that "The most ambitious comes with the whole stack. For Life." That stack is listed as 1:1 mentorship with real tech professionals, career coaching built to get you hired, an AI tutor that adapts to your learning path, and "Your own AI agent, on your own VPS."
The FAQ explains the two named mentorship services. GeekPal is technical coaching (code debugging, problem-solving and interview preparation), and GeekForce is career coaching (soft skills, career advice and resume building). The FAQ says "both services are unlimited and for life," so a graduate can switch between them or use both later in their career. It also says GeekForce gives unlimited access to individual and group professional sessions.
The learning platform itself runs in the browser. According to the FAQ, most lessons and exercises need no software installed and many projects run in cloud environments; when a program needs a specific tool, setup steps and mentor support are provided. Technical problems go to the community channels and mentorship sessions. One homepage testimonial says "4Geeks' Slack should be renamed to 4Geeks Overflow" because of how fast questions get answered.
Rigobot, the AI tutor, also appears in the career support: the homepage says it reviews a learner's resume and LinkedIn profile in real time, with 24/7 feedback, while human career mentors help refine the learner's story, portfolio and interview performance.
Career support and the job guarantee
The career support system is presented as part of the AI Engineering Program. The homepage lists AI-optimized profiles, direct access to the company's employer network, 1-on-1 career coaching and strategy sessions, mock interviews and technical interview prep, and help with a LinkedIn profile, resume, portfolio and cover letter.
The job guarantee is optional. The homepage says "Optional Job or Refund is available (US and Canada only)" for AI Engineering. The blog post states that eligible students can add a Job Guarantee to "get hired within 9 months of graduation, or receive 100% of tuition back," and that they still have to complete the program and follow the career process. It calls the guarantee an add-on with eligibility rules and tells readers not to treat it as automatic. A separate FAQ answer on the same page is more cautious: "While we cannot guarantee a job," it says, the school provides unlimited, lifelong technical and career support.
Certificates and licensing
The FAQ says that after meeting the graduation requirements a learner receives a 4Geeks Academy certificate of completion that validates the program and the core skills covered, which can be added to LinkedIn and a resume. On its status as a school, the FAQ says 4Geeks Academy "is a licensed institution by the Commission for Independent Education of the Florida Department of Education." Another FAQ answer says some programs include content and practice aligned with common industry certifications, with mentors helping on study plans and exam readiness, and that availability depends on the program and location.
Outcomes the site reports
The homepage reports 8,500+ graduates, an 84% average hiring rate and a 55% average salary increase at the new position, and says the school is "Rated by 3,000+ students" at 4.9 out of 5. It separately shows 4.9 on Course Report, SwitchUp and Career Karma and 4.8 on Google. A blog FAQ narrows the hiring figure: according to the school's statistics, 84% of graduates in the US who complete the stages and requirements secure employment with an average salary over $50k per year. The same blog post says the AI Engineering page cites roles in the $95K to $135K+ band and tells readers to verify that range with admissions for their market. These are the school's own figures, with the scope it gives them.
Institutional programs
A large part of the homepage covers work for governments, universities and foundations, which shows how the school runs funded cohorts. It says 4Geeks has partnered with 12+ universities and has been trusted with $20M+ in government and NGO grants. Examples on the page include:
- The Inter-American Development Bank chose 4Geeks as its coding school partner in Costa Rica, Uruguay and Mexico, with over 600 graduates since 2020.
- Miami Dade College picked 4Geeks for workforce training under a $10M federal EDA grant; the page reports 74 graduates placed in tech roles averaging $74K a year and 116% of federal placement targets achieved.
- Over 400 students have completed 4Geeks programs through an eight-year curriculum partnership with Miami Dade College, graduating with a dual certification from both institutions.
- United Way Miami chose 4Geeks for 100 fully funded scholarships covering tuition and living stipends of up to $6,400, and over 1,000 people applied.
- Clark University made $4,000 scholarships available toward 4Geeks tuition through TechBoost, a US Department of Labor program.
- UTEC in Uruguay delivers Full Stack and AI programs with 4Geeks, with 200+ graduates since 2021.
- A CRUSA Foundation program for women in Costa Rica reports a 100% graduation rate and a 75% hiring rate across two cohorts, and a Fundación ACAPI program in Mexico reserves 75% of seats for women and reports a 91% graduation rate, an 80% employment rate and a 53% average salary increase.
The homepage also says the Government of the Bahamas contracted 4Geeks to reskill its national workforce for the AI economy, alongside Harvard, Oxford and Columbia.
Pricing
The site publishes no tuition figure for any program. The blog's comparison table lists 4Geeks AI Engineering tuition as "Ask admissions; financing options available," and the application form on the homepage offers to send program descriptions, requirements and financing options. The scholarships named above show that funded places exist through partner programs.
Who it suits
4Geeks fits career changers who want a structured, mentored route into AI engineering and are ready for a 22-week program, or 17 weeks on the accelerated track. The testimonials come from people who started with no coding background, a recent high school graduate and a software quality technician, among others. It also suits working professionals who want AI skills for their current role through the four-week AI Fluency cohort or its HR, marketing, sales and data versions, and self-directed learners who prefer the AI Flex subscription with no deadline. Developers have a dedicated AI Engineering for Developers program.
It suits less well someone who wants to compare costs before speaking to admissions, since no price is on the site. Learners outside the US and Canada should note that the optional Job or Refund applies only there, and that the career support system is described around the AI Engineering Program rather than the shorter tracks.
